Absolutely no fuss in the booking of and communication leading up to the work. Job was carried out. The mechanic (Scott) was courteous and respectful. All I need to do is test drive.

I used AA Car Care for an MOT. Failed on several points, ball joint excessively worn and another failed dust cover, and excess emissions readings. AA quoted for full suspension arm replacements despite the fact the ball joints can be replaced separately and a full replacement of exhaust system. Over £1000 of work. Took it to another garage and ball joints replaced and a good run cleared out the system to pass emissions test. Contact from AA was nearly non-existent. They claimed that I would be contacted once any update on MOT and that they would do all the contacting of the garage. MOT done by 11am (as seen on gov.uk). Nothing from AA until I chased them, several times in the afternoon, to be given that ridiculously expensive quote. Very poor service.

The service was great, just annoying you cant edit the name and the technicians doesn't read the notes

Elliot arrived at the time he stated and carried out the work to an exceptionally high standard. First time I've used the AA for this type of thing, will definitely use again.

The mechanic was knowledgeable and helpful. The AA system, not so much. The AA failed to advise me that there was a 4-hour delay. I had to call them myself and was put on hold for 15 minutes. They did give me a small discount as a goodwill gesture.

The communication is poor, most of which arrived after the technician had left, no pre warning of arrival. In fact the guy rang me as he was reversing up the driveway. I received an email thanking me for dropping the car at the garage, that they would take things from there, what is that all about? This is a service at home! The technician arrived around 14:00 at 17:15 I received both email and text saying he should be with me at 14:05. Technician was excellent, polite, well mannered and explained everything he’d done. Unfortunately he’s being let down by the technical side of the organisation. Will seriously consider if this is the best route when the next service is due.

The communication from the mechanic was great and the work was carried out efficiently. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work and the friendly, helpful mechanic. I would not hesitate to recommend the AA mobile service.

Very professional and friendly mechanic

The mechanic on the day was 5 star, but when it came for the AA to take my payment was a complete nightmare. Pending status for 7 days coultn't get the money back in to my account till the eighth day to then resend to AA. Every day had at least 5 emails saying payment missed even though I rang them and explained the situation. I finally paid the bill today and now getting more emails sayin my booking has been changed and its exactly the same as i recieved when i orginally booked the car in.
