Mechanic arrived on time, was polite and carried out the work in timely manner. He did explain everything he was going to do before he started and when finished explained everything he had found that could either be an advisory on next mot or any issues that needed addressing straightaway. Would def use again and recommend this service to others.

My mechanic, Dean, was quick, efficient and got the job done for exactly the price quoted. He also had to work in challenging circumstances as our drive is very small. Nothing was too much trouble.
Timings were also very good and his manner was lovely. I can't fault the experience and will use this service again.

Brilliant and professional I was impressed that I could have the macanic fit a new Battery in Southend to where I was going to be. I live in London and he jumped started me to get to Southend and the work was done day after. Accommodating .

I booked the Premium Service Plus package, which included spark plug replacement and a new air filter. Having had negative experiences at previous independent garages due to the Audi S5’s complex engine, I was initially nervous about using the RAC mobile service.

I am beyond impressed with the results. The mechanic was exceptionally friendly, highly experienced, and clearly knew the ins and outs of my car's complex setup. My Audi is now running smoother than ever.

After experiencing the convenience and quality of a mobile home service firsthand, I will definitely be using RAC for my next service.

I would like to say a big thank you to Roosevelt and Amed from RAC, who carried out a full service on my car.

The day before the appointment, I received confirmation that they would be in touch, and on the day of the service they kept me updated throughout, so I always knew what was happening and when to expect them.

When they arrived, both RAC representatives prepared the area around my car very carefully before starting the service. They worked extremely well together and complemented each other perfectly. Everything was carried out calmly, professionally and without any unexpected problems.

Roosevelt, who was leading the service, demonstrated an excellent level of knowledge and was happy to answer all of my questions and give me helpful advice.

My car is a convertible, and the issue I had with the roof was not included in the service. However, Roosevelt kindly agreed to have a quick look at it because I was concerned that there might be a more serious problem, as I had been having difficulty opening the roof. He only needed to look at it once to identify where the problem was, and thanks to his advice, I no longer have any issues with it.

Overall, both gentlemen did a thorough and reliable job on my car. I am extremely pleased with the service I received and with the professionalism, knowledge and helpful attitude they both demonstrated.

I would wholeheartedly recommend RAC for a thorough and professional car service. I will definitely be using RAC again next year.

Fantastic service from the RAC technician on roadside assistance and by the two RAC technicians who attended shortly after I arrived home, who fitted a new battery for me. I was kept updated and informed of arrival times and costs involved. Thank you to you all.

The gentleman who came to service my car was very friendly and extremely helpful. This was the first time that I have used this service, and I will certainly use again. A very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Appalling and truly disgusting level of service from the RAC. Booked a mobile mechanic for an interim car service at home. The mechanic claimed, erroneously, that there were two leaks (oil and coolant). Needlessly spent over £100 to investigate what turned out to be two non-existent leaks… plus wasted money on travel and time off work.

Worse still, the mechanic broke one of the clips that keeps the Cold Air Intake Filterbox lid in place, as well as cracking the lid itself. A replacement lid costs in the region of £60.

Despite the RAC ‘investigating’ my complaint, they replied stating there was “no proof” of the mechanic causing any damage and that the service wouldn’t have required the mechanic “to work near the area of the engine where the damage occurred”. Regarding the two non-existent leaks, there was no explanation given whatsoever.

The RAC’s patronising tone in highlighting that it took me two weeks to get in touch with the mobile mechanic after the service was completed, was hardly professional either: I had previously mentioned to them that the reason for the delay in letting them know regarding my complaint was because I’d just been away on holiday for a fortnight.

Their total lack of accountability was bad enough, but the condescending and skeptical tone in their response, basically implying I was lying, is unforgivable.

The egregious cost I paid of over £400 (interim service, damage caused, needless investigation into ‘two leaks’) is a hard pill to swallow. I certainly won’t be using the RAC again, that’s for sure. Hopefully the AA will be more competent and trustworthy.

AVOID USING THE RAC FOR ANY TYPE OF MOBILE CAR SERVICE!!!!
