Tony from Triton Bathrooms is such a nice guy. So helpful and informative. Work was carried out to a very high standard. He always left the work area clean and tidy and kept me updated with each step of the process. He is very approachable, professional and easy to talk to. Would highly recommend Triton Bathrooms

Here is the complaint email I have just had to write:
Dear Customer Service Team,
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding a bathroom design and installation purchased from your Birkenhead store. The service provided has fallen significantly short of the standard promised, and the subsequent customer support has been highly unsatisfactory.
Mis-selling and Incomplete Installation
Following a home measurement on 12/03/26 and an in-store consultation on 22/03/26, your designer, Neve, assured us that Wickes provided an "all-in-one custom bathroom installation service" and would "do everything" to leave us with a fully finished bathroom.
During the consultation, we were presented with 360° design images (please see attached: WickesPic1, WickesPic2, WickesPic3) showing a completed bathroom with a painted white ceiling and properly fitted fixtures. We explicitly asked if the ceiling would be painted as pictured and were assured that it would be.
Despite this, the contractor has informed us that the ceiling will be left as bare brown plaster with the spotlights improperly fitted and left exposed. Furthermore, unsightly foam filler has been used to seal a gap where the ceiling meets the wall. I have attached photos (Ceiling1, Ceiling2) demonstrating the current unacceptable state of the work.
Poor Customer Service and Communication
In attempting to resolve this, I have been passed between the store and the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) with no resolution:
Birkenhead Store: Despite multiple attempts since 22/03/26, I have only been able to speak with Neve once. The store manager, Kate, advised me that Wickes does not handle painting and deflected responsibility to the contractor. She dismissed the design images as "generic," despite them being tailored to our specific measurements, and instructed me to contact the CEC.
Customer Experience Centre: Upon calling the CEC, I was told that Kate is responsible for the painting issue and that "logic dictates" I should return to the store. I was given a complaints number (0330 123 4123) which simply routed me back to the same CEC department. It was only after mentioning my intention to escalate to the Ombudsman that my concerns were recorded.
Delivery and Logistical Failures
In addition to the primary issue with the ceiling, the installation has been plagued by logistical errors:
Missing Items: Wickes failed to deliver two boxes of tiles (requiring a reorder) and the shower unit, causing significant delays. The toilet seat was also missing and only arrived a few days ago.
Incorrect Delivery: A bath was delivered and brought into our living room, despite our design clearly excluding a bath. The delivery driver initially refused to remove it, and our contractor had to intervene to ensure it was taken away.
Damaged Goods: The bathroom door arrived with a smashed top corner and had to be replaced, with the new one only arriving today.
Required Resolution
I expect to be left with the finished bathroom I was sold. To resolve this complaint, I require Wickes to:
Paint the bathroom ceiling white, as agreed and depicted in the design plans.
Ensure the spotlights are properly and safely set into the ceiling.
Rectify the exposed foam filler where the ceiling meets the wall.
If Wickes is unwilling to resolve these issues and complete the installation as sold, please issue a formal deadlock letter immediately so that I may escalate this case to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman.
I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution to this matter.
Sincerely,

We bought two bathrooms through Wickes and engaged local fitters to install.
The designer was fine but after that it became a nightmare as we received faulty / incorrect goods (or no goods at all!) over a long protracted delivery period.
Having engaged fitters for specific days (when we were told deliveries would have taken place) we then found the fitters were unable to complete the job due to faulty / missing products.
Wickes said we should not have engaged fitters until we had individually checked every item to ensure not faulty and that items were not missing.
We had a mountain of heavy boxes in our hallway and as laymen would not know for example, if all the components of a heated towel rail had been correctly delivered (they hadn’t). This only came to light once the fitters set to work.
We also had to change the bathroom designs when part way through unusable tiles were found to have been delivered.
All of this has meant we have had to engage our fitters to come back and do additional work later, which of course has cost us hundreds of pounds
You could say the moral of this tale is to use wickes fitters but our daughter used them and ended up with water coming through their ceiling so we avoided.
I would not recommend Wickes at all

Appalling from start to finish. Bathroom measured incorrectly by sales person, sold incompatible products, completely misquoted for extra installation costs. Wrong products delivered, months to install an ensuite, bits of plastic no attached, no water pressure, sealant that a blind person with one arm could have done a better job with. They are ignoring all of my complaints and my warranty claim. DO NOT USE

I have used Wickes many times over the years and found the shops good.
However I placed a substantial order ( over £500). I ordered on the first of July. I had received tree deliveries but still not received my whole order.
Last straw was I was upstairs and received a phone call. Nobody spoke I was unsure what was happening. I am disabled so it takes me a little time to get down stairs. I found three large packages outside on the path. I was unable to bring them in.
Finally I decided to cancel the order. Now instead of one collection they want to use various couriers for different parts of the order without explaining which courier wants what. Then when they receive back my part order they will take up to 14 days to refund. Wickes you have let me down and now you are not taking ownership of the problem and sorting it out. Do better

Just worked with Katie, would helped us totally redesign and remodel our bathroom. It was totally painless, she originally came out to our home and measured everything and designed the most perfect bathroom for us.

Ordered 5 fence panels to be delivered today, only 3 arrived. The driver said the other two were that damaged he would t bring them. Really annoyed about this it’s not good enough. Why Wickes even consider trying to send out damaged panels?

Ordered a kitchen 3 months ago, then less than a week before the worktops were due to be installed they told us the groove lighting we'd ordered under the worktops wasn't possible, gave us less than 24hrs to either pick new worktops or scrap the lighting. Not a quick decision as it was quite a big feature of the kitchen, so lost that installation date, and it's now looking like it will be a further 4 weeks with still no confirmation on whether the lighting can be stuck underneath. Sent e-mails, with no response, no one's called back, shocking customer service. Our kitchen installer has done a good job but certainly wouldn't recommend Wickes.

Went to Wickes in Loughton today where I was served by Al or Ali. He was having a lovely chat about football to his mate also behind the counter. I wished him a good afternoon to which I received no response as he was too busy chatting. He drew himself away from the conversation long enough to scan my purchases and tell me how much. Having made the purchase I then bid him goodbye to which he again failed to respond. This ensured that the whole transaction was carried out without any inter personal interaction and was a stunningly successful example of complete ignorance and Wickes should be ashamed of such staff members.
