Rapid and effective service to destroy wasp nests
They responded very quickly to our request for help with several wasp nests. Their representative Mark was effucient in destroying the nests and most pleasant to deal with. A return visit was also immediately made by him to reapply powder to one nest which survived the first application. Many thanks for a most efficient and effective service.

Efficient service
PGM came out the day I called and dealt with my wasp nest. I had a call to say they be calling later in the day. I was not going to be in but sent a picture of where the wasp nest was . The sent me a text stating the work was completed later that day and I received the visit report and invoice the following day.
Wasps are gone so my experience was first rate.

Mouse and rat treatment
I was able to arrange a visit from Phil promptly to deal with a potential mouse problem in the house and rat problem in the garden. I found Phil knowledgeable and helpful and would have no hesitation in recommending PGM.

Friendly, Swift & Successful
Joe was very friendly, knowledgeable, and able to quickly deal with vicious ground-nesting wasps in our front garden, the day after I approached the company.
Joe called in the morning, to confirm the appointment, and again 30-40 minutes before his arrival, to let me know that he was on his way. He also left after-care instructions, to safeguard other wildlife from being harmed by the powder he used to eradicate the wasps. I would definitely use again.

Fast, quality service

Consistently high performance and friendly service
Just when a problem with mice arises Phil and Joe put together a solution. Special service on Sunday meant a great deal with one of the family ill at the time. PGM has provided a friendly and highly effective pest control service on many occasions over the past three years. Their standards never drop. Dealing with mole, rat, mice and other issues over that time has been incredibly valuable. Thank you so much, Phil and Joe.

Speedy, knowledgeable and successful service
We have used PGM 3 times now, first with the extensive carpet beetle issue we found in our new house, a wasp nest, then a moths/woodlouse problem at a relatives home.
Each time Phil has been brilliant. He has been round to access and quote very quickly then back shortly after to treat. The pre and post treatment advice has been excellent and we are very confident that with his advice and experience each issue has been rectified.
PGM will continue to be my only contact for pest issues, and I will happily recommend him to others.

Joe, and the whole PGM team, are excellent and highly responsive. We use them at work, a mixed rambling establishment of houses, offices, sheds, a guesthouse and a monastery: they always come quickly when called out, identify the problem, deal with it and come back to check a few days later. They also provide a regular check which more than satisfies the local council's requirements.

Very unsafe practices
We were shocked at how overpriced this service was. The charge after an hour’s visit to deal with a mice problem was £288. This was apparently for three visits, but is still extortionate. Since adding the review we have found open bait boxes on the floor, next to my baby’s pram and amongst food in our pantry. We asked the company to return to remove the bait, which they did. The owner blocked our car in on the drive with his van and refused to move it when asked, so a 5 year old girl missed part of her swimming lesson. He wasn’t bothered that blocking in a car was illegal. He also told us in the house that he was recording us and had recorded our phone calls. We pointed out that this was illegal. He threatened to retaliate and get nasty if we didn’t remove negative reviews. He then started a tirade on the doorstep, caught on Ring camera (I’d told him we have Ring by text message to try to prevent any nastiness, but he had obviously forgotten when his anger took control), telling my partner to leave me and saying that he was tracking me on Facebook. This evening my partner discovered rat poison scattered around our house and floor from the open bait stations. Some of it was directly where my one year old stood today before I put her in her pram. I’m now paranoid she might have ingested some and scared that however thorough our vacuuming we might not get it all.

We are sorry you feel you have had cause to complain about our prices / value of our service. We would like to reassure you that our prices are reasonable, transparent, and competitive. We can see that your reviews have mis-stated the price which was £240 + VAT for x3 visits and not £288 for one / two hours as was stated in several reviews.
Our rodent visits are normally over a x3 visit program as the first visit allows us to carry out a site survey / assessment, where we agree the plan and cost with the client and start the treatment.
On the second visit, we check / confirm activity and take further steps as required to eradicate the infestation. A third visit usually confirms no further activity whereupon we will remove all equipment from the property and make any recommendations for preventative measures going forward.
As a VAT registered business, unfortunately we must charge customers VAT on our prices. VAT registered businesses must pass on the VAT element to HMRC. To operate a viable business, overheads need to be covered such as, for example, materials; mileage; salaries; insurances; stationery; subscriptions etc. The mileage cost alone for 3 visits to the property concerned would have been £73. Taking overheads into account, over 3 visits, the charge is very reasonable and so that you can compare us I have found an assessment of the council’s pest control charges for rodent infestations in your area here: https://pestmax.co.uk/how-much-do-worcestershire-councils-charge-for-pest-control/ as you can see, the public bodies charge almost double that we do as a private business. I hope this reassures you that we do not overcharge customers. As a small, family run business we are very mindful there is a cost-of-living crisis. Turning to the comments about the standard of the service, we are unable to respond online as we did not enter a contract for services with you. It is disappointing that the reviews do not present a full picture. We take instruction from the client when carrying out our work and it is regrettable that you did not agree with the plan / price agreed by your partner with us. However, we are aware that your specific concerns have been responded to.
The allegations regarding the behaviour of individuals you make are concerning, but recollections may vary.
Finally, we are sorry we were unable to assist with your rodent infestation on this occasion. We understand that a rodent infestation can be very distressing particularly if one has suffered from infestations previously and we hope you are able to find a pest controller to assist with eradicating your rodent problem for you.
