Really easy to use and find a car that fit my requirements. Was able to test drive a few cars and was happy with the service received. There was a really long wait for each part of the service though... See more

We were served by Jas who was just amazing,he made sure we got the best car for our money. He was very patient with all our enquiries as it was our first purchase of an EV. The part of the warranty was quite overwhelming but we ended up getting a good deal thanks to Jas and his manager.

⭐ 1 Star - Very Poor Experience, Misleading Sales Tactics and Poor After-Sales Service
I had a very disappointing experience with Big Motoring World Wimbledon and would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them.
I purchased a Tesla Model 3 2022 model and was sold a 3-year warranty covering the battery, drive unit, and other components. What I was not told at the time was that Tesla's manufacturer warranty already covered these major components until 2030, making this additional warranty appear unnecessary and poor value. Had this been explained clearly, I would have made a more informed decision.
To make matters worse, the vehicle was sold to me with faulty suspension, despite Big Motoring World claiming that every car undergoes a 200-point quality inspection before being sold. Based on my experience, I seriously question whether such a thorough inspection was actually carried out on my vehicle. A suspension fault should have been identified before the car was handed over to a customer.
The problems did not stop there. The car was also supplied with faulty wheel covers, which produced a loud banging noise whenever the vehicle went over speed bumps or potholes. This issue was immediately apparent during normal driving.
The after-sales service from the Wimbledon branch was particularly disappointing. I dealt with handover manager and handover advisor, who repeatedly assured me that they would contact me to arrange replacement wheel covers. However, after multiple follow-ups over several weeks, I was continually given the same response that replacement wheel covers had been ordered, yet nothing ever happened. I felt I was repeatedly misled and given false assurances instead of receiving actual support.
My experience has left me with very little confidence in Big Motoring World's quality control processes and customer service standards. I would strongly advise potential customers not to rely solely on the advertised 200-point vehicle checks and to carry out their own thorough inspections before purchasing.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would recommend avoiding Big Motoring World, especially the Wimbledon branch.
Pros: None that outweigh the issues experienced.
Cons: Misleading warranty sale, faulty suspension, faulty wheel covers, poor communication, and extremely disappointing after-sales service.

Good selection of cars and turnaround - however , the sales staff at Rotherham/Sheffield are extremely pushy - there are no prices anywhere for the add on services like alloy or paint cover - they pluck figures from thin air - clearly upsells are a big factor in their pay packet and they are relentless - like a rabid dog with a bone . We felt held hostage and couldn’t wait to get out of there …
Yesterday was absolutely brilliant. So easy to park up and get around the place.
All staff was very friendly and approachable.
We would like to thank Imogen for her help. She made Yesterday so easy and we cant believe we drove away the same day.
We will definitely be telling friends and family to use this place.
Thanks for the drinks and thanks again.

Very disappointing experience with Big Motoring World
After 4 weeks they still not resolved the issue and they just responding once a week.
I recently purchased a Volvo XC40 from Big Motoring World and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing.
The biggest concern is the accuracy of the vehicle checks they presented to me.
Their own inspection report recorded the nearside front tyre at approximately 3.3–4.3 mm. However, I raised concerns about the tyres on the first day after purchase, and I had the vehicle independently inspected by Kwik Fit approximately one week later.
Kwik Fit found the same nearside front tyre had:
* 2.0 mm on the inner edge
* 3.0 mm in the centre
* 3.0 mm on the outer edge
No even near to what they have in their reports.
They also identified an alignment issue. Again something that they reported as done.
Big Motoring World has agreed to reimburse the alignment cost, but they have refused to replace the tyre.
My concern is simple: if the vehicle was genuinely checked as stated in their inspection report, how was a tyre with only 2.0 mm on the inner edge and significant uneven wear reported as being 3.3mm?
I only owned and drove the car for approximately one week, and the issue was raised with Big Motoring World immediately. I do not believe normal driving over one week can explain this level of uneven wear.
This has left me seriously questioning whether the checks shown on the dealer’s inspection report were actually carried out properly, particularly the tyre measurements and assessment of the tyre across its full width.Plus the other x amount of inspection claimed as done.
I am not accusing anyone of deliberately falsifying a report, but the difference between the checks presented by the dealer and the independent inspection is extremely concerning.
For me, the issue is not simply that a tyre needs replacing. It is the fact that I relied on the dealer’s inspection when purchasing the vehicle, yet an independent inspection shortly afterwards found a significantly different condition.
I would strongly recommend that anyone buying a vehicle from Big Motoring World independently inspect the car before purchase and do not rely solely on the dealer’s preparation/inspection report.
I am still hoping they will reconsider their position and take responsibility for the tyre issue.

Post My experience with Big Motoring World has been extremely poor. I was without a car for months, the vehicle suffered repeated breakdowns, there were long delays and poor communication, and I did not receive a proper resolution despite giving Big Motoring World several chances to put things right. Court appears to be the next option Based on my experience, I would not recommend Big Motoring World.

We were sold a car which we did not initially see had a chip on the windscreen. We were assured that if there was anything wrong then the after sales team would sort it out ....no problem....
How wrong !! They lie! Because we didn't spot it, even though it was clearly there on purchase, it is now our problem. Didn't want to know about it saying it was cosmetic.
My other daughter needs a car of similar price so all I can say is their loss ...shall not be getting it from here.
Other buyers ...beware.

Clearly do not care about customer experience or doing the right thing, seem institutionally set up to churn cars through quickly without making sure they are suitable for use.
On EVs, don't do a full battery health check unless you put down a deposit. Was told I would get the deposit back if the battery was not at a minimum expected level, but then sales manager on the phone said this wasn't the case and inferred I was a liar for claiming another salesperson told me this...
I was relatively committed to dropping >£25k on a car, but they could not engage with me properly on the terms of this purchase. Been waiting for a call back, first one I got was from someone passing on a message for the sales person I had been speaking to, just saying "computer says no" and was unable to explain any more or engage in a conversation about purchase conditions. I chased up and was just left on hold for ages.
Three days later, still waiting for the call back I've been promised and chased up on!
Wasted my time on site and on the phone multiple times, staff all act like they don't want to be there. Reading other reviews, probably dodged a bullet as cars seem patched together to get them sold and then getting any after sales support appears hopeless.
Small caveat - a lad in Leeds was good on the phone.

Friendly staff, happy with our purchase but the process took over 3 hours which is horrendous on a hot day.
You sit and wait around for so many different departments to sort stuff rather than one person. It took an hour to wait and go for a test drive and then over two hours to sign paperwork/get keys etc.

We had a really positive experience at Big Motoring World. Everyone was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable while we looked around and explored our options.
A special thank you to Andres, who was incredibly patient and informative throughout the whole process. He helped us test out several cars, including the Ford Fiesta, Fiat 500 and Mini Cooper, and took the time to answer all our questions without making us feel rushed or pressured.
Andres made the experience of looking for a car easy and enjoyable. We really appreciated his knowledge, patience and friendly approach. Highly recommend Big Motoring World, and especially Andres, for anyone looking for a great car-buying experience!

Test drove the vehicle I purchased on 1st August, noticed the brakes squealed. Was also told the vehicle had been serviced and was even given proof of this.
Day of collection, everything seems above board then a couple days later once I return to work and have to drive any bit of distance, thebrakes are squealing again.
Contact after sales, wait almost a week for a reply to be told they won't be looking to assist until I've had a free brake test carried out. So off to Kwik fit I go for a free brake test, that comes back and confirms rear discs and pads are excessively worn causing the squeal. Contact Big Motoring world again by responding to the email chain so that I have everything documented, attached the report confirming the excessive wear on rear brakes and currently awaiting a reply (which I expect won't be quick based on hte last response time). In the mean time of all this, the service indicator has popped up on the dash to tell me the vehicle is due a service in 800 miles....?
Branch were quick enough to sell me a car with promises that any issues would be handled with no question asked, but the reality is aftersales is shocking and getting any kind of support is hard work. Doesn't fill me with any hope that their warranty is even worth the paper it's written on.
Add this to the fact that I part ex'd my previous vehicle and they assured me the outstanding finance would be settled within the week, yet 2 weeks later still not paid off? They currently have my old car, not paid a penny for it and I'm out of pocket since another direct debit payment has been taken.
Overall experience on the day was fine, sales staff great, accommodating, friendly etc. Completely let down by the aftersales and information that completely contradicts what I was told by sales staff on day of purchase.

Extremely disappointing experience with Big Motoring World — AVOID!
One of the worst car-buying and after-sales experiences I have ever had. I purchased a vehicle from Big Motoring World and, within one day, discovered a serious fault with the hybrid battery. I had to take the car for diagnostics myself after just one day of ownership — something that should never have happened with a vehicle sold by a professional dealership.
What made the situation even worse was the after-sales experience. I repeatedly contacted the rejection team and specifically dealt with Verity, the manager, who did not even bother to call me back despite numerous calls and attempts to resolve the matter.
Big Motoring World also failed to properly acknowledge or accept that the vehicle had been sold with a fault. I was extremely concerned that I had been put in a position where my family of four was potentially at risk because of a faulty vehicle.
In the end, I had no choice but to involve the finance company to help me return the vehicle and resolve the situation.
The amount of stress, time and hassle this has caused has been completely unacceptable. Buying a car should give you peace of mind, not leave you chasing managers, arranging diagnostics and involving the finance company just to get a serious issue resolved.
I would not recommend Big Motoring World to anyone considering buying a vehicle. My experience with both the sales and after-sales service has been dreadful. AVOID and save yourself the stress and hassle!!

Staff was very welcoming and nice but spent too much time pushing warranties and finance plans even though I made it clear I wanted to buy the car outright without extras. Ended up spending 2 hours and 37 minutes, most of it waiting. Same process can be done in 15 minutes at a dealership.

I am well happy with the service they provide they were very experienced with the information that I asked about the cars I wanted to look at. I came away with a Fiat 500X very pleased with my Choice well worth the visit put free drinks while you having to wait for all the paperwork to be sorted.
