I purchased a 2021 Vauxhall Corsa from Big Motoring World on 19 July 2026, expecting to buy a reliable vehicle that had undergone their advertised 200-point inspection. Unfortunately, within around two weeks of ownership I began experiencing problems with the vehicle, including difficulty selecting gears. I arranged an independent vehicle health check, which identified concerns with the wet timing belt, clutch, front brake discs and tyres. I also had to replace the front tyre immediately at my own expense after being advised by the garage that it had a dangerous bubble and was unsafe to drive.
Since reporting these issues, I have spent days making phone calls, sending emails, obtaining independent reports and chasing updates. Every time I provide the information requested, I seem to be asked for something else, which has made the whole process incredibly stressful and time-consuming.
Although some members of staff have been polite and tried to help, the communication has been inconsistent. I have spoken to multiple different advisers and have often been given different information, meaning I have repeatedly had to chase my complaint myself.
I was also surprised to discover that the advertised 200-point inspection is not an RAC inspection carried out by RAC technicians. When I requested the inspection record for my vehicle, the only documentation available was a generic pass/fail checklist with no technician notes, photographs or measurements, despite significant issues being identified by an independent garage shortly after purchase.
I was particularly disappointed by the response regarding the wet timing belt. After providing an independent garage report recommending replacement due to its condition, I was told that because there were no warning lights on the dashboard, their technicians considered the vehicle safe to drive. I did not feel this properly addressed the independent garage’s assessment or explained why they disagreed with it.
I have also had to pay £80 for an independent health check and £65 to replace an unsafe tyre while trying to resolve this matter.
At the time of writing, my complaint is still ongoing. I hope Big Motoring World resolves the matter fairly, and if they do I will happily update this review. However, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend buying a vehicle from them.

It's a weird set up with high pressure and big rooms full of men on computers, girls on recception and coffee. No cars in sight only the one you're interested in. Then glass cases with additional extras to buy of which there are many (all essential of course). I didn't realise this car salesmen thing still existed. I bought at a dealership, same price and relaxed.

I bought a small Toyota Aygo for £11,300 after explaining that I am a single mum with disabilities and needed a reliable car that would not require constant repairs. Within two weeks, I discovered serious issues, including severe corrosion underneath the car, heavily worn brake pads, and a badly cracked suspension component affecting the steering. These problems were not mentioned on the MOT.
I returned the car within the first two weeks, but the dealer refused to take it back and told me to get an independent diagnostic test, promising to pay for it. They did not pay, so I had to cover the cost myself. The inspection found over £2,000 worth of repairs needed to make the car roadworthy and indicated that several of these issues had likely developed over a long period.
I feel extremely disappointed and let down, especially as I was clear from the beginning about my circumstances and my need for a safe, dependable vehicle.

I have experienced the worst customer service with Big Motoring World. I purchased a car on 9th July 2026 - I notified Big Motoring world 12 days later a serious fault were the passenger door was not locking and the alarm would not go off upon locking the car. The car had collision reported on the service history however Big Motoring world had said they done a 200 point check, when I reached out to big motoring world they said you have 3 months contact your warranty provider the warranty provider told me to take car to their approved garage and the mechanic who looked at the car said how on earth have they sold you this car the passenger door isn’t closing properly it’s not safe to keep on the road, it’s not road worthy and your passenger life is at risk when this car is on the road. I have sent several emails and sent a recorded letter with several rejection emails I have even handed in rejection letter. Under the consumer rights act of 2015 due to the car being having serious fault being within 30 days i have the right of refusal and I have a right of refusal which I have exercised. Unfortunately Big motoring world simply have chosen to ignore me. I am absolutely disgusted with this level of service not 1 response I have spent over 14k on this car. I am currently on day 12 with no response. I will never consider purchasing a car from them they’ll be quick to sell you a car but the moment an issue arises they will choose to ignore you. Something serious needs to be looked into this organisation I cannot believe this day and age an organisation behave in such a manner. My next step to speak to my local MP about such rogue behaviours from an organisation, I am also considering speaking to my solicitors regarding this issue. I am also considering speaking to media outlets and journalists to share this story, I have 3 children who have been passengers in this very car it’s scary to think their lives where at risk during those 12 days.

When we first visited to look at cars, there wasn’t any disabled access available. By the time I came to collect my car, however, you had already installed a ramp, which meant so much to us.
Your team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly helpful, thoughtful and genuinely inclusive. My wife was especially impressed by how quickly you put everything in place to make the dealership accessible.
On top of that, every member of staff we met was exceptionally friendly, and it was such a lovely touch that several of them remembered us and even the specific car we were buying. Thank you all for making what could have been a stressful experience feel so easy and enjoyable. Your kindness and care really didn’t go unnoticed.

Spent time at the Enfield branch, test drove the car I'd reserved online, car was littered with dashboard warnings - tyres, brakes. Was advised by the salesperson that these would be rectified before I drove away. Completed the paperwork, couple of hours later drove away, it wasn't until I refuelled that I noticed the warning lights were still present. Called the branch the next day, was told to bring it back - not practical as it's a 5 hour round trip, used their app to book a local repairer, they spent a hour or so diagnosing the faults, but were not able to rectify as they said it needs to be looked at by a Mercedes-Benz repairer. Attempted to book in with my local MB but was told that Big Motoring World cap the labour rate they would pay and any difference would need to covered by me!! Fast forward two weeks now, several attempts to have Big Motoring World sort this out, they throw obstacles at you left, right and centre - use the ticketing system, can't speak to a manager, it's in the system.... terrible customer service.

Bought a car here, and just 15 days later found structural cracks on all alloy wheels — clearly painted over and hidden before sale. These are dangerous, illegal defects that make the car unroadworthy.
Reported the issue and waited 1.5 weeks — only got lies, excuses and no action. They refuse to take responsibility, even though this violates the Consumer Rights Act. I’ve wasted extra money on insurance/cover for a car I can’t safely drive.
Do not buy here: they sell faulty, concealed-damage cars and offer zero support.

All the staff were very helpful and Emrah’s good sense of humour set us right at ease! Couldn’t be happier with the car as well as the extra warranty with it, thanks! :)
