Lifetime subscriptions have been cancelled. Just received a mail, that the service was cancelled. Without refund. Just an information to a new service “fridayplays.com”. Really bad.

Stay as far away as posible....

Support is so bad. I've unsubscribe just after the next subscription payment was deducted from my credit card. So one would expect to either get a refund or receive the games one pay for. But not with this company. Look like they are luring people in with BIG promise. But all they want is to take your money and not providing much for it. It is a really nice concept but executing it in this manner is not a good sign.

It's a struggle to find anything on the website. You have to email the company to get basic info. And answers to question take forever to be answered, that is if it ever get answered.

My most regreted purchase in an entire year.

totally regret ever finding this company. , they supplied at the start but I think their supply of games has dried up so they are now unable to supply anything.

they sent duplicate games 2 months ago. the last months emailing there was 9 duplicates out of 10. they refuse to resolve the problem and should have a trading stands office go after them.

dont waste your money, add the games you want to your wish list and wait for them to go on sale to get a discount. Ubercrate is certainly not the way to go, just look in the steam forums for all the extra people who have made such an awful choice.

customer service is an alien concept to these people. why would anyone go to buy software only to return to the site to buy the same software. totally unreasonable, inflexable.

a GREAT SHAME i have been forced to give 1 star, would prefer to give zero stars or even a negative score.

I hope this is censored enough to fit with the demands of Trustpilot.

BUYER BEWARE

They keep lying that you will get your games in a few hours, contacted them 6 times, now they stop replying at all. I still don't have any games yet. They don't worth a dime, BUYER BEWARE. Purchase at huge discount from Slashdot Deals, they usually got good deals but this one don't deliver what I paid for.

Avoid this company - you will not get what you paid for

The first two steam codes I got from them were recycled and had already been used by other customers. When I asked why they were sending out codes that had already been redeemed, they said technical problems happen. They got belligerent and told me that unless I sent them a photo of my credit card AND MY PASSPORT they would cancel my subscription - even though it was already paid for through StackSocial in advance. They also said it was up to me to get a refund from StackSocial - they wouldn't give me one when they canceled my account for refusing to send them my passport and cc.

Stay far, far, far away from these people.

Abysmal customer support / billing support / product

This company packs the absolute bottom of the barrel indie games in a bundle of 10, sends it out and calls it an Ubercrate.

I've had the subscription for 4 months and I've received 6 games that are $14.99, and 32 games that are $4.99 or less, 4 duplicates, and 95% of the games have a user review "mostly negative" rating on steam, and 0% A or better rated games.

The company will not allow you to remove your credit card from your profile or they will cancel your subscription (which you pre pay), and cancel any future crates owed to you.
Many people are then forced into an additional subscription because they didn't remove theur card during the appropriate billing window from their account.

Their customer service takes up to 3 days to respond. The 2nd time I had yo contact customer sypport, I received an email after 3 days with 3 sentences. The last sentence being their generic "thank you for contacting us. ..." message. It was only after I complained about the company on Twitter (with multiple retweets), did yhe company reach out to me with more than two sentences attempting to resolve the issue. Which basically ended with " We are changing our system soon".

Paying for this service is the worst service I have ever made the mistake of doing business with and would greatly discourage anyone from selling with this company.

Cheated out of my money

I purchased a 3 month crate subscription. After 2 very bad crates, I decided to cancel the sub so that I wouldn't be able to get charged for 3 more months after this sub was done. When the final crate was supposed to be delivered, it wasn't. It wasn't until I contacted them twice during the week following when the crate was to be delivered that I heard back from them. They stated I wouldn't get a final crate because I cancelled my subscription before it arrived, and won't refund the money I paid upfront for the 3 month sub, as they don't give refunds. Worst business model and customer experience I've ever dealt with in my life.

Avoid like the plague

Short version - terrible games, multiple keys, over priced, not one AAA games in almost a year, very unprofessional, to cancel you must give up any months you are owed meaning it costs at least one months money just to quit which is practically robbery, can't believe it's still running even with name change.

Long version - I signed up with a heavy discount from a third party site and even with the discount I haven't gotten my monies worth. Each crate contains 10 very cheap, very poor games all of which have been given away for free or put in bundles for a couple of quid for multiple games.

You'll get multiple keys for the same awful games over and over, infact one month I had two duplicate games in the same month, I got issued another 10 keys by support in quick order only to find I already had most of the new keys from previous months. Despite giving away as many extra copies as possible I still have 2 x Super killer Hornet, 3 x Gold Rush Classic, 3 x Realms of haunting, 2 x Platypus II, 2 x Agent Awesome and 10 other single codes I cant use or even give away.

Even the games I've redeemed have no practical value because the games are so poor barely play them before uninstalling for life.

The name of the service/site was changed recently and promises about a better service made, nothing changed so far. My advice get a bundle you can see up front (indiegala, bundlestar) or something with a guaranteed AAA (like humblebundle).

Do Not Use

Saw a coupon for it before seeing reviews unfortunately... So got the coupon, then had to go through the hassle of setting up the actual thing with them. They have no order conformation, so force of habbit made me press enter before entering the coupon code and they have it set to "press Enter = Order" which immediately was a flag. They took so long to respond that support did not pay attention to the times each email was sent. Account was flagged for fraud the next day, no codes given. Not issuing a refund after claiming fraud and denying a product/service.... DO NOT USE. Will be contacting the regulatory body.

Edit for additional information: Most monthly subscriptions are set in such a way that "you pay for a specified amount of time" and you get that time, when you cancel that subscription, the only thing canceled is autorenewl AT THE END of that subscription. The way Uber rate does theirs is "when you cancel, you immediately lose the subscription regardless of time remaining on the subscription." That is not the correct use of a subscription model.

Update: They said they refunded a boost charge of £0.99, but not the charge that actually matters. It doesn't make sense to refund one of two charges, a small charge from a card you're saying is fraudulent, while keeping the far larger amount of the only other charge.

Update 2: It seems that they have understood what it means to keep the money after claiming fraud and have issued a refund. Will update once again at a later point because of the line "It can take up to 10 days for the funds to appear on your statement"

Update 3: As of today (04/21/17) I recieved my refund. It was an extremely fast refund all things considered. I would still reccomend staying away from this company (opinion) due to obvious reasons, you're better off waiting for games you want to go on sale.

Bad service, avoid at all costs. RIP OFF robbed in broad daylight

I gave Ubercrate a chance, got the 3 month package for me to test it out and for a friend's birthday gift. Apparently, when you get any crate/service from them, they put you on an auto-subscription. As someone else already said, I got no notification that my auto sub was due today. They just took over £170 from my bank account, out of nowhere. I tried to contact them to cancel my subscription, which they did[and by the way to cancel you have to contact them, another joke]. They however, did not give me a refund, because they say its in the T&C.

I contacted their live chat support[which is basically run by two guys who are more inactive than active] and I explained to them what I basically just said here. I told them there's no harm done if they give me a refund they can keep their game codes. BUTTT NOO they still want to send me these game codes.... what a joke. Defining a forced sell, great job Ubercrate.

All around let down

I am yet another customer to get stuck with another 3mos subscription since i missed their cut off day. No goods were delivered yet, but because of the 'nature of their business' they cant do refunds. No matter how reasonable i tried to be, ubercrate wouldn't budge. And the nature of the business is sending an email with key codes. If I have not received said codes, theres really no reason to refuse a refund, other than bad business. So here i sit now, stuck in another 3mos. Yesterday was the day to get codes.. i got nothing. I reached out to your slow help team. And got the canned message of check your spam! Yeah i did that BEFORE I reached out! Its now a day late and i still have received nothing. Not even a response. This company is a joke! Bill my account without a reminder almost a month before the next crate. Make me keep a 3 mos subscription. And now youre late on delivery.. i was late in trying to cancel and that lead to me paying you almost $90 US. Now you are late.. so what? No penalties for not holding up your side?

Terrible, terrible service all around!

Unsatisfactory In All Aspects

Regardless of the quality of games I have received over my 3 month subscription (all 30 were below mediocre standard and none were AAA games), the truly appalling issue UberCrate has is their auto renewal of subscriptions. I've been billed £71 with no prior warning, and their unsubscribing process involves you emailing them personally, meaning you have to wait on their staff.

I emailed them about cancelling my subscription, but their staff simply rambled on about terms of service and whatnot. Basically they don't want to give me a refund even though I specifically said I did not want to continue with their service, AND had not received their products yet! It's unacceptable, unfair, and unreasonable.

Keep clear of UberCrate. I was originally planning to give them another shot in June after I gathered up enough spare money, but with this sort of escapade I'm definitely not coming back.

Would not recommend Ubercrate formerly Steamcrate.

Definitely would not recommend this company based on the similar one star reviews you can already see. The process to cancel a subscription is not easy, you have to email the support team. The person I spoke to straight off starting going on about the terms and conditions for cancelling and that there are no refunds. All of the games I received in the introductory period were very cheap and not very good. I definitely would not have paid money for them which I have basically now done. I did not get any "Triple A" games as they call them.

I will be checking with trading standards as they have refused to provide a refund even though they have not yet provided a service for the £70 odd they have just billed me. Also as soon as I received my receipt email I was on the case of cancelling and getting a refund.

I don't feel that its right that they feel I have a contract with them as when I started it was Steamcrate not the new company that has taken over Ubercrate.

I will also be speaking to my bank about checking into the charges taken from my bank account.

Simply do not buy from this company it is a poor product and they are very unsupportive and unforgiving

I find it very unfair to other customers including myself that are requesting a refund and they don't get one but one of the reviewers on this site is allowed a refund as a one off. This is not treating all customer fairly.

Update 18/04/2017:

So I was charged for 3 months subscription yet last month and now this month I have not received any games. I will have to speak to my bank about getting my money back. I am not paying money and getting nothing in return. This really is one of the worst run companies I have ever dealt with.

Improved

I've had some bad games over the first few months, but I actually got a triple a game this month finally, along with some positively rated indie games. All in all, I've got my money's worth and I feel the service has improved. So can't really complain!

Awful Service!

The games you get are worthless for the price you pay, not only that they don't have a refund system and you have to send a email to cancel your subscription (which i have done and requested i get a refund but they wont and they still haven't canceled my subscription! I Highly regret buying from them. Stay away!

Stay Away

Much the same as Zach below, I purchased a discounted 3 month package from this company. The concept was intriguing and I am always looking for new, interesting games to play. The games were not received in a timely manner nor were they even worth the effort to activate within steam. Every game received from this company were already very cheap, free or were free at some point.

Customer service, while having received a response is less than adequate. I too, was opted in for the 3 month renewal automatically, and after having contacted the company to cancel and request a refund for goods that have not yet been delivered nor are desired, I received an unsatisfactory answer from the first support person. I requested further avenues of support from the company and was left with nothing. Not even an acknowledgement of my asking for further support.

For any of you lucky enough to be reading these reviews prior to jumping in, heed the advice and refrain from doing so. You can get all of the monthly supplied games for much less than what they supply and sometimes free. Besides that, instead of making the cancellation process easy and straightforward online, you must contact support to do so.

I will be following up with the FTC and Better Business Bureau and will make all efforts to have my bank investigate the charges to my credit card.

Stay away, is the take home advice if nothing else.
