Lifetime subscriptions have been cancelled. Just received a mail, that the service was cancelled. Without refund. Just an information to a new service “fridayplays.com”. Really bad.

Ubercrate is a journey of discovery, where you can uncover hundreds of great games, all for a fraction of the retail price. All games are entirely randomly selected, and everyone gets a different mystery crate each month – Meaning that you could get the latest triple A blockbuster, or some mind bending indie game that you would have never have stumbled upon before. Unlike other subscription boxes, ubercrate is different – We send out your games digitally every month, direct to your inbox. So there’s no waiting around for something to eventually show up at your house – That also means steamcrate is available worldwide, without any country or border restrictions! We’re not ones to tie you in to a lengthy contract – You can cancel at anytime you choose, and the games you’ve already received are yours to keep forever!

Do not subscribe to this service

Do not subscribe to this service, you will never get out of it. I have been trying for 2 years to cancel my subscription and have not been successful. Every time I try to contact them, the website is unavailable. This happens until after the due date and then I get a notice that my subscription has been renewed. If I then send an email, they say that I should have canceled before the renewal date! The games are not worth the price either. There are never big-name games available.

A scam.

I was using a code for a free month subscription, that I won in a giveaway. I could use it up to 50 times. They charged me but it was still 2 days before a next crate. I should had 2 days to use my code or to cancell my subscription. They refused to refund.

Scam

A complete scam, like many I was charged after my subscription had ended. Refused to refund, refused to provide the crate that had been payed for, then ceased contact. They have also now abandoned all of their social media accounts.

They charged me 300 for a yearly subscription saying I can't get a refund (which I accepted since it is a digital service) but when I began to ask to cancel the auto renewal of the service the customer service denied me, and terminated my ALREADY PAID FOR account. So I'm out 250 and there is no way to contact them. The email in their privacy policy/terms of services returns an error anytime it is sent anything.

Games are trash, absolute shovelware

Business practice is shady at best. Automatic renewals unless you cancel, but cancelling removes your access to the remainder of your subscription, leaving you with less than 1 month to cancel at any point.

Company policy is absolutely no refunds under any circumstance. Avoid at all costs, and save your money for Humble Bundle.

This company will scam you or rip you…

This company will scam you or rip you off with crappy games. They also dont let their customers cancel their subscription. You have to file a ticket support to do it. However that wont work and they'll charge you for their crappy service the next month. File their transactions as fraud and report the business for fraud.

Tried it out with a free trial. Worst service ever.

Tried it out with a free trial. Found out its totally a subscription scam. I got charged for a second month. At first I thought "No big deal, I'll just cancel and collect this last crate." Boy was I wrong. First after spending an hour clicking around the site trying to cancel my subscription I finally submitted a support ticket requesting help canceling my subscription. If only I knew what was to come. While I was waiting for a response I was checking out my banking records for an unrelated reason when I noticed my balance seemed off. Upon closer review I realized I had been charged twice by ubercrate. Slightly annoyed but thinking naively that it was a small glitch and should be no trouble to have fixed I submitted a second support ticket. Not long after I recieved a ticket (closed as answered leaving no way for me to respond) saying that contacting support was the only way to cancel but in doing so I would forfeit the right to open the upcoming crate I had already paid for and informed of their no refund policy. This is when I began to see through the scam. See the crate drops and an hour or two after you are charged for the coming month leaving a two hour window for them to cancel it and for you to receive what you paid for. This of course made me go from annoyed to angry. I began to press them on the double charge. Three times I recieved closed tickets stating that I was not charged double. Each closed ticket became more mocking of my plight and the last dripping with sarcasm. After a bit of research I found several places where ubercrate was violating UK (it's base of operations) and international internet laws. Only after pointing these out did I receive a halfway decent customer service ticket (still closed of course) requesting that I send proof of my double charge. After sending it however my account was banned and I never got my money back. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE. Humblebundle is a cheaper alternative with great customer service and better titles on offer.

They are a bunch of Thieves and Scammers.

Stay away. Bunch of scammers trying to milk money off of consumers. Avoid.

Games where supposed to roll in at the 16th of the month. No games came in. Still. They "handed away" a compensation tittle, a DLC to be exact, that requires the base game to be redeemed.

On top of that support is just "resolved" hammering the tickets without asking if it's final or any other questions are in place.

Bad Service. Bad experience. Scammer attitude.

Save your money on something good.

Cheers, Alexander.

Similar experience to others

Similar experience to others. Got a very heavily discounted year subscription, which i was happy with. When the year ran out, Ubercrate tried to renew my subscription for £260+ for the year, which was GROSSLY overpriced for the quality of games received. Fortunately, my credit card rejected it on security grounds, so I contact Ubercrate and asked them not to renew my subscription (you can't do this yourself - you have to contact support). They replied and said my account renewal had already been cancelled. They then spent the next two weeks attempting to take payment, until they finally succeeded. To be fair, after I wrote to them and complained, they immediately refunded me. They then banned my account, so any unclaimed games I had are no longer redeemable. I'm not particularly bothered, judging by the game quality up to that point, but I'd avoid them like the plague. Really poor!
