From the very beginning of my correspondence with Girlmeetsdress and in particular Eleni, it was a feel good experience. Eleni quickly showed me the attention we would want when looking for, and trying on a dress. Eleni’s customer care shined brightly and in the end it came down to two dresses. A hard choice as they are both fabulous! So since this special themed 30’s dress is meant for a special bride,
I have left the final decision to her. : ) Not forgetting that I would not have even had this choice if it weren’t for Eleni and “Girl meets Dress.” A wonderful experience. 🌸

Fab service. The GMD team is totally committed to making your event as special as possible. Plenty of choice and information om website. Selected choices arrived in plenty of time. Though sizes weren't quite right--that was my fault rather than theirs. Consider going a size up for materials with no give. Go a bit small/exact size for stretchier ones. Looking forward to using them again. Better for my storage, the environment and not being seen in the same stuff all the time. Love and dresses indeed.

I was so excited when I found this website: the dresses were beautiful and there was so much choice!

However, the availability of dresses on the website does not reflect the reality. After I placed my order, money was taken from my account and I was emailed to let me know that none of the dresses that I'd selected were in stock, despite the website displaying that they were available for the whole of June. This was true for the size up too.

The money was eventually returned to my account but as it was a substantial amount I was not encouraged to purchase any further dresses lest the same would happen again.

The website needs to be updated to ensure that the availability is reflected as it was super disappointing to search through all the dresses and not find any that were ready for the dates I needed them.

Won't be using again as it's just too unreliable. A real shame as there was so much potential!

Use GMD for years and always recommend them.

I was so impressed with this service - having left it late, my dress was rushed to me in time and in perfect condition. It was also lovely. 💕💕 I also loved the fact that there was no plastic packaging and the returns process was so easy. I will definitely use this service again.

Finally there is a way for us common folk to enjoy some very expensive and beautiful dresses! I love the idea of it and opted for the membership. What I love is that you can opt to not wear a dress for one month and so have two for the next month. Perhaps the only criticism might be the content of my emails which I send does not always get answered.

I went to the showroom and was amazed with all the options. I had the wonderful help of Eleni she was simply brilliant, attentive and very helpful! Look forward to renting more dresses!

After initial reservations on whether this sort of service was for me, I have been more than impressed with the efficient and comprehensive service. Really easy to organise and both dresses ordered were really lovely, one just edged the other. Delivery/Returns service has been brilliant so far and once the refund for the unworn dress hits my account I will be spreading the word amongst my friends and singing Girlmeetsdress' praises. Great success and will definitely be using service again.

I first used GirlMeetsDress many years ago and had a great experience - loved wearing an expensive dress for a special occasion.

Almost every other experience has been a nightmare. Like many other reviewers this stems from the fact that availability is not truly reflected on the website - so you spend a lot of time picking out the perfect dress, checkout, only to be emailed the next day with a list of alternative dresses which rarely match the brief of your original choice.

Really sour taste in my mouth after an initially good experience.

From the day I ordered the dresses I had a sinking feeling regarding the professionalism of this company and this feeling was ultimately proven to be right today.
The website clearly indicated that money would not be taken from my account prior to the dress being dispatched. The money was taken immediately. I emailed GMD and received a reply that I was mistaken and this was not the case and payment was taken immediately. I replied with a screen shot of their own website that clearly stated that payment wouldn’t be taken until dispatch but I never received a reply back.
A month before I was expecting the dress I decided I wanted to change one of my choices so I emailed GMD about a swap and didn’t hear anything so the next day I opened the chat feature which was a surreal experience in itself, the person I was speaking to believed my event was the next day, they also initially stated that they hadn’t received any email from me but then found it and said they would get back to me, again I didn’t hear anything back. So I took to Facebook messenger to ask the question again.
I then received what I can only describe as a passive aggressive email that stated I had been discussing my order on Facebook?!?!? And that I must be mistaken as they hadn’t received any emails from me and I may have accidentally been chatting to them rather than email?!?!
I replied that I wasn’t confused and would like confirmation that the order has been swapped. At this point I received another email explaining that mixing up April and May was an easy thing to do and there had been no confusion. It worries me that a company that it is essential to get the right dates to send dresses out thinks it’s that easy to confuse two months, its almost comical.
At this point I thought I don’t want to be left high and dry days before my event so phoned to cancel the order at which point I can only describe as the most bizarre conversation I have ever had with a company at one point the person on the end of the phone was almost singing in a ridiculous mocking voice “you’ll get your money you’ll get your money hahaha” all very bizarre when I tried to explain my concerns I was continually met with this bizarre tirade of laughing and sing song replies. At which point she slammed the phone down without answering the question I was asking which was when will I get my refund? I phoned back and my call was declined so I phoned from another phone and she answered. This time she answered that she will refund the money today. Unfortunately I have only received a partial refund. I’m sure that there will be a part of the website that explains why I didn't receive my full amount but I have lost the will to live with the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I wish I had read the trust pilot reviews first and saved myself the aggravation and lack of manners this company passes off as customer service is farcical. The only saving grace is I have a month to purchase something for the event and wasn’t left in the lurch like so many reviewers have been. Its a shame because I believe it to be an amazing idea however this absolute lack of customer care is astounding especially when there are so many other companies now that offer a similar service. Its also a shame as the company would have had a significant free advertising opportunity as I am attending a televised international awards ceremony. Oh well!!!!

I love Girl Meets Dress! Have hired from them three times now and been delighted each time with the dress (always even nicer than in the photo), the very reasonable prices and the customer service. Even on the one occasion my chosen dress became unavailable close to the event due to damage, they chose me a fantastic alternative. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Super service from start to finish. They even helped us out when the initial date was cancelled ..reserving the same dresses for the revised date ..we didn’t even have to think about it....the team at Girl meets Dress did all the thinking for us! Effortless. Dresses were beautiful and arrived pristine and with goodies for us to share too! Will definitely use them again. Thank you 😀
