This is the first time I have ever hired a dress . I have 2 dresses booked for my daughter’s wedding in Rome . This company is fantastic they are so helpful the ordering was very easy and the communication is unbelievable.they literally do everything to suit your needs by pre ordering in time for your event.
The clothes are lovely and they are so reasonable priced .i give 200% to this company and delivery is so fast and returns then you are refunded your postage

Dress was incredible. Double hit of confidence from wearing designer dress that I probably would never have had the courage to buy outright and kudos for the greener element of rental v buying.

I really liked the idea of being able to rent a dress for a black tie and being able to try it on as well as lots of other renting places don’t offer this. The dresses were gorgeous and comfortable. It’s also great that there are petite versions as other places also don’t really offer this. The only thing I’d like to see being improved is delivery times as I’ve ordered twice, first time parcel didn’t arrive on time and the second time it was delayed but arrived just in time for my event.

I never received my item. DHL said I signed for it, then left a photograph of the package left in front of my door. Sadly, my package appeared to have been stolen off my porch before I could collect it. Even though I filed a report through DHL, Girl Meets Dress have refused to issue me a refund and the customer service department have been horrifically unfriendly, acting like I am to blame. I am now thinking that they are not a real company and do not intend to refund me so I have now had to dispute this charge through my credit card company. When I informed Girl Meets Dress that I had begun the dispute process, they magically came back over e-mail, telling me that I had now delayed the refund they intended to provide, even though they had not originally informed of their intent to refund, despite my repeated emails. Total nightmare, and add to that I didn't have time to find another gown for my event in time, so I had to wear a repeat gown. If this is a real company, they have the worst customer service ever, so either way I do not recommend.

Fabulous customer service . The ladies were really helpful suggesting which dresses to try in their try before hire option .
They were very flexible and accommodated me very close to an event I needed a dress for . The dresses are good quality and arrive well packaged and in great condition.

The dresses arrived at 4.30pm on the actual day of the hire. Rather than pay for postage twice GMD held all the dresses for a late dress return making all the dresses late to me. They are uncontactable by phone and their messages made out they were doing me all the favours. If you hire for the 8th you should have them on the 7th not at the end of day on the 8th. They were really hopeless. This was my first time hiring, it was stressful, and I ended up having to wear an old dress as the dresses sent were not to my liking. Two fitted one didn't, which is fine. A blue grey one turned out to be grey though a nice fit and cut - grey is not a colour I wear and the Ralph Lauren plain blue safe choice dress, whilst fitted, it was tired looking and the holes where the belt went through showed flesh beneath, not quite the finish I would have expected. I won't be hiring again it was such a stressful experience. And bold of them to presume I was only needing the dress after 5pm.

You still don't seem to realise if you hire something for the 8th you have paid for it from the start of the day. For all you knew, because you didn't, I might have had needed the dresses for a daytime event, or had a few hours travel to the event I need the dress. Delivering in the evening of the day is the problem here, you still seem to be missing this point. Fine the dresses didn't work, but I had no time to rectify this or buy a replacement dress given I was heading out the door. At no time did you answer the phone, I tried a few times. Also you advertise that the customer doesn't pay postage, I had expected therefore to have a free postage returns bag but ended up unexpectedly paying for my return postage. This should be clearer.
I realise you are working hard behind the scenes, that's life, we all are, it's not something to worry the customer about or guilt them as to the lateness of your service.
I think that 1 star was a fair rating as you could have sent me 2 dresses on time and chose not to.

I loved the dress I hired but was a bit disappointed when it arrived creased. I managed to get rid of some of the creases with a steamer but I did expect it to be ready to wear. I felt really nice in the dress though and would definitely use the site again, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends
