I've recently pre-paid for my funeral with Co-op Funeralcare plan. It was very easy and quick to do online. Within a few days I received a letter with all the necessary documents in a lovely folder detailing the contents of my funeral plan and chosen Co-op funeral home. The folder also contains two very handy small cut out funeral plan cards with my plan number on them. I kept one and gave the other one to my daughter. I made a mistake about the chosen Co-op funeral home, so I called customer service care to change it, which was not a problem and I was able to change it. Customer service care were very professional, polite, patient and kind. Within 2 days I received a letter with the amended Co-op funeral home. I did a lot of research and I'm glad that I chose the Co-op funeralcare plan. I now have peace of mind that everything will be taken care of.

I bought my plan online and the instructions were quite clear to follow. I could also nominate someone else to receive the information which is good as it lets someone else know that I have a plan in place. I’ve chosen the co-op direct cremation as the staff at Bishop Auckland were brilliant when my mum died.

I lost my mother and father a couple of years ago . Couldnt fault the cremations . But comments at maidstone and herne bay co op funeral care branches were upsetting . Both branches made comments about bodies could smell .

My husband and I were given time to discuss our uncertainities. There was no pressure to make quick decisions. We appreciated any advice given and believe we took the best plan for ourselves.

We dealt with Brookfields Funeral care in Shakespeare St, Southport. From the beginning to the end we received the utmost respectful care for my sister, who passed and my family. The empathy and attention to detail from Jules and Debbie and the rest of the staff, was perfect. Even through all the sadness, they were there with cups of tea and advice. Thankyou for everything, you helped my family at our most vulnerable of times.

We met Jake who dealt with us in a very professional and caring way. We were able to see him at a local venue which was convenient and we now feel more confident about our funeral and that our family will be looked after in respect of organising our funeral.

No delay on replying to our call. Great staff member (Mudasir) who initially spoke to us and who helped us cancel a current funeral plan for my mother-in-law as we now wanted to book a direct cremation for her.
He then put me through to another department and I spoke to someone else who asked if we had POA for my mother-in-law, which we don't. She then said she could not arrange the direct cremation. She did not, at any point, ask whether we were paying for the funeral and was rather peremptory. We therefore went to Pure Cremation who were happy to arrange our direct cremation plan for my mother-in-law. We did feel, that as we had just spoken to Mudasir, who we could not fault, and who had refunded the original plan money to our account, that there would not have been a problem as she would have had all the details in order to arrange the direct cremation for us. It would appear not.

I liked the comprehensive Funeral Plan but disliked the process of purchasing it. Paid for the plan on a Thursday, no automated reply confirming payment. Just mention in the during the purchase process that I would receive the plan in two working days. Feedback email request received the Monday before any acknowledgement from the Co-op! Hard copy of funeral plan received lunch-time post. Nominated representative has still not received promised email!
