Selecting a funeral plan and then paying for it was simple, quick and straightforward. I can rest easy, before I rest easy. it's all sorted.
I found the whole process extremely efficient, the stress and upset of arranging a funeral were taken away from me,which was such a blessing.
Karen Mason was so supportive and caring throughout it all,and I can't thank her enough for all she's done....I would recommend Co-op funeral care to everyone.
I picked Co-op to handle my pre-paid funeral after having a positive experience previously when arranging a family members funeral. This time however was completely different and I was extremely disappointed with the service. Several times I was promised someone would call me back but they never did. I had to chase them at least x3 times. I really hoped that I would have someone visit in person to discuss my options but it is all done via the phone. I ended up having to get a family member to assist me. I felt the whole experience was very stressful and considering the amount of money I was spending, I got little support from the company. It felt more like a DIY service as I did all the legwork. I honestly don’t feel co-op earned their fee and wouldn’t recommend them.
Just like to say a Big thank you to everyone at the Walton Branch, for looking after my Mum and making her funeral so special .
All plans were easily understood to make the right choice. Cost very reasonable. *****
Harry, your representative, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and explained the choices available. Also, a competitive price compared with rivals including the reassurance that Co-op is a well established company.
Applied on line for a Co-op funeral care.
Very easy and well explained the various options. Picked the best for me and my family. Paid in full. Very easy transaction. Now have peace of mind that my family know what I want after my death.
All of my previous family members have been dealt with by the Co-op. *****
Both the Loughton branch and my local branch on Chatsworth Road proved to be excellent and efficient. Communication was very prompt, clear, and respectful. At such a sad time, the empathy and care shown were deeply appreciated. Thank you, Chelsea and Faith.

I found everything easy and straightforward for my specific needs.
As a trusted company I highly recommend.
Initial contact very disappointing. I emailed local branch to arrange personal visit. Could not deal with local branch, told I had to speak to a funeral plan arranger. She contacted me to arrange a direct cremation plan over the phone which I felt was very impersonal. I was on the point of cancelling when Joanne Byrne phoned me to say she was in the area and had a cancellation so I met her and she talked me through the whole thing very sympathetically and I paid then and there. Without her input I would have gone elsewhere. Funeral planning ahead is less fraught but is still an emotional decision and I needed that personal touch. The seemingly endless, repetitive and over-the-top administration makes the process seem soulless and uncaring.
Thank you so much Pam and the amazing team at Walton on Thames Co-op Funeralcare.
You have been thoroughly professional throughout the process of arranging my husbands funeral. Your compassion, your understanding, attention to detail and helping us through every step the way. The celebration of my husband’s life was perfect. Thank you Pam.
They were very patient very understanding, answered any questions that I had, never tried to sell me something that I didn't want, I felt like the whole experience was very personal to my needs, first class service,
The Funeralcare representative was most welcoming, knowledgable and helpful. Eveything was well organised and informative. Our needs were met and we feel confident that our wishes will be honoured.
During the most difficult moments of our lives, Matthew and kettle funeral home provided exceptional care and compassion from the very first call. We are deeply grateful for all their professionalism and kindness which made a painful process a lot easier, Thank you
My experience was very pleasant and straightforward. I knew what I wanted and all went well. The 2 gentlemen were very kind and asked several questions to make sure I was happy with my arrangements
Very good experience excellent customer service staff very helpful and knowledgeable and explained everything really helpful and very knowledgeable
I first met the salesman Steve McDowell on 05/05/2026. He didn't seem to know what he as doing and it took two further meetings before I was able to pay for the plan for my wife. I received no paperwork through the post and he did not return my calls after leaving messages from him. I eventually spoke to Emilio in the Co-Op head office and he explained that the plan had been sold to me in my name and not my wife's name. We then spent more than an hour going through the process of cancelling the incorrect plan and setting up a new plan in my wife's name. Emilio had to use scripts that were not appropriate and I had to answer questions in oblique ways to get the job done. I have now received the paper work through the post. It was not a good experience.
Made an appointment, very helpful and informative assistant ,no pressure to buy on the day.
Accessible, important that you could speak with someone face to face. Zoe was very personable; took us through the option we wanted with no pressure to purchase a plan.
I had my partners funeral arranged by the Co-op Funeral Care in Addlestone Surrey.
They were so helpful, compassionate, professional and everything was carried out with dignity. They helped me cope with the arrangements and on the day. I am so grateful to them especially Jake and Joyce.
