Great customer service

Adam looked after me and made the experience straightforward and easy, he was great. There were no issues at all and everything was explained well.

Paid £7000 for a plan chose family…

Paid £7000 for a plan chose family undertaker and 5 years later they changed our choice of undertaker asked for our money back lost £500 and 5 years interest our undertaker of choice is still trading no Explanation other than they have chosen not to use them be ware I'm in the process of reporting them to the ombudsman.

My funeral plan.

I wanted to get everything sorted out about my funeral.
Contacted Golden Charter, and spoke to Paul Dugan who explained everything I needed to know about the funeral plans. The customer service was very helpful and thoughtful, with friendly advice and no pressure at all. My mind is at ease now.

Taken the dread away of any financial worry

Precise and concise information supplied by Paul C. Allowed for swift decision making in purchasing ideal funeral plans for both of us. Questions were responded to swiftly and directly in a polite and professional manner. If you want to fix your costs this is the way to go as all the hassle and arrangements are taken care of without fuss or bother for family members. We can now enjoy our retirement in the knowledge that Paul has assured everything is resolved in readiness.

easy funeral plans

I have just taken out a funeral plan with Golden Charter by phone and the it was easy peasy. No pressure, No rush, everything was explained in detail. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

LORRAINE AT CHARTER SERVICES

I spoke to a very nice lady called Lorraine, she made the process simple and so easy. This lady even after I paid for the service was still ready to go above and beyond saying, you have my number and if you have any questions don't hesitate to call me. I now have peace of mind

I took out a no frills basic cremation…

I took out a no frills basic cremation plan in 2018, paid in full. However October 2025 I was told it wasn't guaranteed to cover the full cost of cremation. But I could take out a new plan, which was cheaper & guaranteed.
They just needed to find a Funeral Director who would accept this. I heard nothing for 4 months. Then I received a letter stating they couldn't find anyone who would accept the plan. I was angry really as " it wasn't my fault, but theirs". I cancelled my plan and was CHARGED A SUBSTANTIAL ADMIN FEE. WHY? I wasn't cancelling for the fun of it, but simply because THEY COULDN'T FULFILL THE GUARANTEED PLAN. I
I strongly urge anyone with a plan, which changed to guaranteed May 2025, check if they're really covered. I feel cheated & it's not fit for purpose ( contrary to the Consumer Act 2015). Seeing TV ADS for this company just add to my anger.
I have found a much better plan with another company. I DON'T SEE WHY I WAS CHARGED DUE TO THEIR INABILITY TO FULFILL THEIR PROMISE.

Very Prompt Service

I went in May of 2024 to my local Funeral Directors (I live in Co. Armagh) and chose this Funeral Plan. I am very Happy with this Funeral Plan.

Even though I live in Co. Armagh and HQ is in Glasgow (so the money had to be sent to Glasgow) within about a week of the money being sent to Glasgow I received my "Funeral Plan Documents", which I thought was incredibly prompt.

As I said before, I am very Happy with this Funeral Plan, and I would certainly recommend it to other Family Members.

Very good Service indeed.

Great company

Spoke to Adam who went through the plans to me very patiently and was very thorough with all the details and made it easy for me to understand so I will be able to take the pressure away from my family so will recommend them to others

Sound Company

Good company, application was very smooth. Did it all online and got a £100 M & S voucher to boot. Obviously the proof of the pudding will be in the eating but this company also looked after my late father in law with no problems. So I strongly recommend them.

Peace of Mind Funeral Plan

Spoke to helpful gentleman about current funeral plan (sorry didn't catch name). Wanted to ask about taking out another plan for family member and he arranged for colleague to call me. Lorraine called and everything needed was discussed, price given and agreed upon within a short time. Lorraine was very clear and helpful and plan was put in place.
