Told them I have jaguar I pace to trade they told me to bring it in then after travelling over 100 miles they told me they don’t accept electric cars poor experience and poor customer service
Excellent dealership
I bought my first car from Car planet. I went to view the car however they helped me drive off the car the same day itself. Quick and prompt dealing and even helped finance the car by completing easy steps and minimum formalities. I hope to continue receiving the same treatment when I go for service and other fixings if any.
Overall good service, just allow yourself a LOT of time!
Overall, the experience was good. There’s the usual sales pitch and negotiation but nothing too uncomfortable or unexpected for car sales. Office had great AC during the heatwave and they offered drinks throughout. The car so far has been amazing and no issues!
However, this is a busy centre and everything takes longer than it should! It took nearly 2hrs to pick-up my car despite completing the bank transfer and documents within 15minutes. A bit disappointing that you have to book in a time which I turned up for, and then an hour and a half later, my car was finally ready. If I could rate these separately, I’d give the pick-up process a 1 star.
Excellent Sales, Extremely Poor After-Sales Service
I purchased a Peugeot 5008 from Car Planet around six months ago, and unfortunately my experience since then has been extremely disappointing.
The vehicle was clearly not quality-checked properly before delivery. On collection, the left wing mirror auto-fold function wasn't working, and I later discovered that the boot trim had simply been held in place with double-sided tape, which eventually came off. Car Planet fixed both issues.
However, after repairing the mirror, the blind spot monitoring system stopped working, requiring yet another visit to have their own repair rectified.
A few months later, I experienced an engine oil pressure fault, which was diagnosed as a cracked belt affecting the oil system. Again, the vehicle had to go back for repairs. Now, after that repair, I'm once again receiving a "Top Up Engine Oil Level" warning, meaning I have to return yet again.
This is an unacceptable number of issues for a vehicle purchased only six months ago.
What has been even more frustrating is the after-sales service. Every issue has required repeated emails and numerous phone calls. Emails often go unanswered, there is little or no acknowledgement, and waiting times to reach the after-sales team can exceed 30–60 minutes. Chasing updates has become a regular task, which is simply not what any customer should expect after spending a significant amount on a vehicle.
The sales process was smooth and professional, but once the sale was completed, the level of customer care dropped dramatically. A company that prides itself on its reputation should invest just as much in after-sales support as it does in making a sale.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Car Planet's after-sales service. I sincerely hope they improve their communication, responsiveness, and quality control, as no customer should have to go through this level of inconvenience within the first six months of ownership.

When you fux the car properly
When you fux the car properly. I will give you a review. The sales lady was lovely but I'm not entirely satisfied with your tech service
Car is missing load cover
Car is missing load cover. No big deal, only a small expense. One I thought Car Planet would have no issue covering. Turns out they've hidden behind it not showing in photos. Nothing mentioned in the ad and the car has a place in the boot for the load cover which I assumed is where it was. Would have been so easy to make this right but for all intents and purposes I've been told to sod off. Poor show.

Do your self a favour and buy your car from another dealer
If you value your sanity. Avoid at all costs. They will promise to call you back they don’t. They will promise to email you they don’t. They will ignore you for weeks. They will refuse liability although an independent expert examined the vehicle. They provided// evidence that they used the wrong oil at service pre sale and ignored main dealer correspondence. A complete joke.
What you fail to provide is the TRUTH.

We bought a car from this dealership…
We bought a car from this dealership two years ago. Because it was our first major car purchase, we trusted the many promises about having the best protection and coverage available, so we ended up purchasing three additional insurance/protection packages.
1. RAC Platinum Cover (60 months):
We have been calling for months trying to find out exactly what is covered under this policy. Nobody seems able to give us a clear explanation, and we have also been unable to cancel it.
2. Five-Year Service Plan:
Every time we need assistance, we spend more than 50 minutes on the phone, only to be passed from one person to another. As an example, the day before a scheduled service, the car displayed a warning that it needed coolant. After the service was completed, the same warning was still showing, which raises questions about the quality of the service provided.
3. Supagard Protection:
This product seems great as long as nothing happens to your car. However, when you actually need to make a claim, even for something as minor as a small dent, you discover that it is not covered because of exclusions hidden within lengthy terms and conditions that most customers are unlikely to read in detail.
Overall, we spent thousands of pounds on additional cover and protection based on promises of exceptional service and comprehensive coverage. Instead, we have faced poor communication, excessive waiting times, unclear policies, and disappointing customer support. We would strongly advise potential customers to carefully research these products before purchasing and not rely solely on the assurances given during the sales process.

I recently bought a car from Car Planet, and the entire team provided outstanding customer service. They were friendly, helpful, attentive, and made the whole process smooth.
A special mention goes to Haydar at the Barnet branch, who was an excellent salesperson. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of.
Overall, I had a great experience with the company and would definitely recommend Car Planet to my family and friends. Thank you for the fantastic service!

Horrible service
Staff members were so distracted by each other. We were at CarPlanet Barnet for 4 hours and were constantly given conflicting information. "Our car wouldn't be ready today because the valets weren't around" to "Give us 45 mins, and we'll be ready to go." All around a confusing experience.
Our first salesman was friendly, but didn't seem sure of the processes. The HP contract we were given says that there's an optional payment at the end of the 5-year period (which seems like it should be in a PCP contract). I asked him about it, and he went to double-check with his manager. At that time, I overheard one of the finance people shout at him, "Get them to sign the contract now!".
We sorted out the tax and car registration with someone else who would obviously rather be somewhere else. Constantly talking to her colleague on the next desk, picking up tasks for him as we were discussing the car being transferred, and vaping at the desk. Completely unprofessional, but we got there in the end. We tried to ask a few clarifying questions as we were leaving (warranty details, SureGuard details, and whether the V5 would be mailed to us), but we didn't receive substantive answers as she seemed to be in a rush. We walk out, and she's vaping in the passenger seat of a car being brought to the reception area with the person she was chatting to during our meeting... We've yet to receive any further information about the car we've financed, aside from the contracts the first salesman sent us and the last MOT slip that was in the car. We left not knowing how to access the warranty deal we paid for in order to leave this headache of a place.
The whole business model is to get you to commit early, so beware (it might be a common thing with a dealership like this, but I'm inexperienced). They pressure you to hand over your keys as soon as you're in reception for a part-exchange valuation. They take you through the extra services they can provide very well, say to think about it, then produce a quote with all services included. The total came to around 5k more than advertised online, and we had to argue to get some things removed. The deposit was taken 3 hours before we could sign a contract.
Horrible service and experience, but the car's fine.
