For Baby bunting Melrose park branch.

For Baby bunting Melrose park branch.
Literally they don't even deserve single star.
I have bought stroller in November 2021 on lay-by when it was in special buy but it wasn't there in stock and still waiting for it in February 2022. Called Dozens of time but Literally no response at all and even Manager asked me to get your refund back thats all we can do. Second time bought item and asked them to do price match with Big w and they have done but charged me $6.95 as delivery fees even though I have bought the item in store. This is how they are doing price match and ripped off the clients.
I would recommend to go The infants boutique or the baby Junction or go somewhere else then this store. Even try further up at baby bunting Richmond branch.
Definitely not recommended to anyone.

Poor click & collect experience

Poor click & collect experience
The website advertises 3 hour click and collect, but the store is not geared to meet this. There is no correspondence when there is a delay with an updated timeframe.

This is an issue when the potential customer is a time poor/sleep deprived parent to a newborn needing an urgent item and is counting on the advertised order fulfilment timeframe.

I had an unpleasant experience which I’ll spare the detail of, suffice to say I spent half an hour in the store after calling ahead 2 hours earlier when I hadn’t received an update 6 hours after my order. (Turned out they had a backlog of a couple of days due to the year end and New Years public holiday).

I did not appreciate the staff member’s justification that I had been ‘bumped up the queue’ and the way she distancing herself from the store policy ‘they say 3 hour click and collect but…’.

It was apparent that the operationally the store will not deliver consistent customer experience, and does not cater well to online/hybrid shoppers. Unless addressed, costumer loyalty will wane as they discover other options which meet expectations consistently.

Should be NO stars! Faulty product! Supposed to be a musical toy but it had no sound. I was ordered to send a video of the toy with no sound - can you believe it??

FALSE ADVERTISING

Very disappointed about Baby Bunting customer service. First time I ordered Grandeur Caprice online and expected to receive this car seat same as the photos they showed on website. But the one I receive, the design is totally different from the photos on the website. That is the FASLE ADVERTISING and cheated customer. Never ever order anything from this website again!!!

Mary had a little whinge

We purchased the Essentials by Tasman Eco Florence Cot Sandstone online. On the website, it clearly states that a mattress is sold separately and the suitable size of the mattress is 1310L x 750W. This is what we purchased and collected from the Bentleigh Store as that is the only store where both were available for collection.
When we got home, we removed the plastic on the mattress and put it in the cot. It was too big and didn’t fit as it needed to be a size smaller. As Doncaster is our closest store, we took the mattress to the store.
We were attended to by cashier who escalated it to the manager Mary. Mary argued that this was a dead investment as we were returning a mattress that had been opened but ultimately agreed to exchange the mattress with the correct size.
Whilst she went to look for the mattress, we stayed at the cashier and heard her say through the intercom that the sizing of the mattress on the website was wrong. My husband questioned the cashier as to why Mary had been so rude if we had bought the mattress based on the incorrect advice on the website. Mary got to know that this is what my husband had said and through the intercom said “when I return with the mattress, should I be nice or rude?” To clarify, my husband heard this comment but didn’t say anything looking to keep the peace. When Mary returned, she argued with my husband that she hadn’t been rude but had to exchange 8 other mattresses this week and now had a dead end investment of $1000 worth of mattresses due to the same error of the website. To be clear, this is not our problem. Mary also kept repeating that she was not at fault and she was not wrong and it was in fact the website that was wrong. Mary showed no ownership nor took responsibility and was a poor brand ambassador. Given that we have spent more than $3000 at Baby Bunting and that we ordered the mattress based on the incorrect advice on the website, returning a $150 mattress shouldn’t have been this hard. We expect better of a national store like Baby Bunting, particularly from someone that carries the title manager. Mary’s blatant disregard for customer service and the fact that she was continuously rude, argumentative and took no responsibility was unnecessary and unwarranted. Needless to say that this was extremely poor customer service and we are unhappy as to why we were treated so badly.

Baby Bunting don’t care about Dads

My husband is going to be the primary parent as I go back to work after 3 months. We went to baby bunting and were looking at baby slings that my husband could wear and be comfortable in, the sales lady was completely rude about a Dad caring for his daughter full time and said the mum should be the carer.. we did not ask for her opinion either. We went and looked at some baby bags and the lady came over and we had said there isn’t anything here we like cause they are all covered in flowers and the lady said if we wanted Dad stuff there is a BCF across the road for Dads. We walked out. Rude, dismissive, know it all old women who have no care or customer service.

Extremely bad customer service

Very bad customer service. The floor sales woman was very uncomfortably rude. Not at all considerate in may be helping out first time parents with their recommendations. Either you buy or don’t, didn’t show any interest. And also wanted to exchange a newborn cosleeper, which couldn’t use after a week, had to rely on online shopping due to coronavirus, the so claimed manager was so rude and unkind over the phone. Will never buy anything from them, everything purchased has been a waste due to quality so far. Kmart has much better stuff for cheaper prices. What a letdown of a store. Overpriced and extremely rude employees. I would give a 0 star is possible!!!!!

I liked their service

I liked their service. I ordered a high chair for my baby, it had some problems but because of the monofacturers' fault, I complained and they solved my problem very fast. I returned this high chair for free and got my money back quickly.

Not even one star for this shop, pathetic!!

Not even one star, is there a negative five stars?
How bad is the service, I spent thousands here with rude service only to return , caus that’s the only store available, and put aside a couple hundred dollars of stock, they just put it back out, and offered nothing until I offered my feedback.
Sorry baby bunting but I’ll be bunting you!
Suggest everyone else do the same.
FYI for food - go to chemist warehouse, cheaper bigger range, for clothes Kmart or target are half the price, but everything else online, you won’t get worse service that way.

Great product range but really let down by poor customer service

I'm giving this company two stars for its product variety. There is no question that it is fantastic for this. But if it didn't have a monopoly on the baby products sector, I doubt the company would survive because of its (a) abysmal customer service and (b) high prices. But mainly (a). I have shopped at Baby Bunting stores - across Melbourne and Adelaide - many times, and I have yet to be served by a friendly person. The working conditions must be poor there, otherwise why would every staff member be so bitter, unhelpful and at times sarcastic and sour? Every question is met with a response as if you are a pathetic parent for asking such questions. Honestly Baby Bunting senior management, it's time to look at your company culture and do something about it.

I will never step foot in the…

I will never step foot in the Thomastown VIC store again. I have been to this store many times and have spent a fair bit of money there. Each time I have been I must admit I never got a genuine or warm service from any of the customer service staff - the only one was a younger girl who was selling me & my partner a car seat. Each time I have been I have been an easy customer and friendly. They are rude service ladies. I have been at the register paying whilst the staff were talking amongst themselves about other customers, bagging them. They are condescending and pretend to be nice. The last time I had went in (during all this COVID stuff) the lady had some pretty mean and generalist opinions about the way our society was handling it all. I wore a mask at the time because I was nervous to say I couldn't wear it. Yesterday I went in (now having a note) the girl at the door didn't say anything and let me and my partner in. As we were shopping around the manager approached us and told me to wear a mask, I didn't explain to her as I was on the way out anyway, but she had went to the back to give me one. I had also this lady, since she approached us, about a product - she made no effort at all to help. As I was walking to the counter I had 3 of the staff attacking me. I explained I had a note and a new service lady at the door said they didn't allow exemptions, I told her I had no idea and that we will pay and I will leave and won't come again. She continued to tell me off and tell me to wear it. We didn't need more than one staff member to explain the rules, and bully, nor should they discriminate in the first place. Before this incident I had already felt like not wanting to shop there because of their attitudes and that just sealed the deal! There's so many other baby stores out there with baby products, and another local Baby Bunting, I will not go back to the Thomastown one...I'd suggest to hire better customer service staff. I also work in customer service and the service makes the atmosphere and the shopping experience.

One of the worst businesses in Aus

Almost every experience I've had with Baby Bunting has sucked but today was by far the worst.
I bought a portacot a few months ago and the dodgy cheap product you are selling has completely warped in the middle to the point it is unsafe for bub to sleep in. I took it back to the Fyshwick store today and while the manager and two other staff members acknowledged it was unsafe and not fit for purpose in the state it was in, the manager continuously tried to imply that it was my fault - asking how much my baby weighed and if he was over the weight limit in the product description, and telling me the manufacturer said "the only possible way for this to happen" is if I didn't assemble or store the product correctly. Pretty gross of him to accuse me of putting my kid's safety in danger by not following the manufacturer instructions.
I was then told that I would need to sort it out with the manufacturer myself (even though they kept the product in the store). The ACCC website states "The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer" - pretty bad practise for your store managers to not have a basic understanding of consumer rights, you might want to fix that by providing adequate training to staff ☺️
I enquired about this and am yet to receive a response so I guess my next step is to make a complaint through Fair Trading.
Baby Bunting is an absolute garbage company who put babies safety at risk and don't particularly care- any potential customers, spend your money elsewhere!

ONLINE SERVICE IS DYSMAL - DON'T BOTHER WITH THE PRICE BEAT

BABY BUNTING ONLINE (NOT IN-STORE)

I tried to request a price beat as per the Baby Bunting 5% Price Beat offer.

I had read other reviews about how painful the Price Beat process is - but today I lived it for myself.

They try to use every possible excuse to not do the price match, some of them outright illogical or petty. Was really strange and unexpected to hear such childish "dog ate my homework" type excuses to not price beat - unexpected because they aren't a small business, they're a nation wide conglomerate. Spent over an hour of my life on the phone to no avail.

In short, the Baby Bunting "5% Price Beat" is just a marketing gimmick, to give people the assumption that they'll always be the cheapest option - a common well established marketing tactic used by corporations to give the impression they'll always be the cheapest to dissuade you from shopping elsewhere. Do your research, there are plenty of baby stores that often have cheaper prices.

Personally, I can't stomach rewarding a company that has such abysmal customer service behaviours.

Companies like Baby Bunting are a stark reminder why people should shop at smaller/local businesses - Baby Bunting don't deserve your business.

The BB Online store deserves 1 star, but the 2 stars is because the retail employees are much more level headed and helpful.

I went to Baby Bunting Munno Para…

I went to Baby Bunting Munno Para today.
There was no one at any of the registers, but there was an assistant serving someone within sight and earshot of the register. I was clearly in her view. She did not acknowledge me in any way. Not a smile, a wave, a greeting, eye contact or a nod. Any of those things would have kept me in the store, happy to wait.
Another customer came from somewhere in the store with a child who was now also waiting.
The assistant (in the course of still serving her current customers) passed through the register area where I was, totally ignored me, and said to the other lady who had come after me "I won't be a moment".
I waited about another minute, and then left.
The sad thing is, I was standing there with a gift registry card in hand, ready to spend cash on something for my friend who has a baby due in about 5 weeks.
I would have been the easiest sale of the day.
I don't need to know the features and benefits of half a dozen products, I don't need to decide on anything or compare anything.
My friend has already chosen what she wants.
And I am ready to spend money on her.
Well Baby Bunting, you won't be getting my money. I will be checking out what she wants on your registry for sure - and I will be buying it somewhere else!
