I Ordered a wedding gift at a cost of $150 from Amazon through Zola’s registry. The gift never arrived; Zola is only party that received confirmation information Regarding transaction. Zola can confirm the gift is paid for & sitting on Amazons platform. Zola refused to aid in resolving issue. Zola is only party that has any info on transaction. I received no tracking or confirmation information. Just a quick screen flash saying transaction went through. On Zola’s site it lists the gift as purchased. Zola informed me that they have no responsibility in matter I was to call Amazon and product manufacturer to resolve issue.
Obviously product manufacturer has no responsibility & can not assist since I did not purchase through their website. Amazon said all monies are in Zola’s hands & Zola should resolve problem. Relayed this info to Zola. Zola’s instructions to me were and I quote
”call Amazon and DO NOT tell Amazon I went through Zolas site to order gift this way Amazon will resolve issue.” What kind of sketchy dishonest site is Zola?!!!
I saved email responses from Zola to support the statements written in this review! This review is not fiction & not statements IT’S ALL FACTS!
After months and hours on phone calls with Zola I was absolutely nowhere. The wedding was coming up I reordered gift directly from Amazon without issue. Now I have to pay my banking institution to dispute and refund my money for original gift purchase.
My questions are numerous
Why is Zola refusing to provide confirmation/ tracking or any information on purchase if Zola can see gift was paid and sitting at Amazon?
Why can’t Amazon see this info? Amazon can’t Use my banking account information or social security number to find transaction? Although it really is Zola’s responsibility not Amazon’s. I didn’t go directly through my Amazon account so Amazon reports they can not look any info up
Why did I not receive transaction information at time of purchase?
Why at time of purchase was I not returned to Zola to write a note to a company my gift?
Whether my purchase was a glitch with Zola’s site or not it is Zola’s service that was being used Zola should resolve problem.
Purchasing gifts is the entire reason Zola exists. Must be nice to provide a service and if something goes awry pass the problem off to another web site. Zola Just washes their hands of any responsibility!!! I am not the only customer to get the run around from Zola.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR GUESTS TIME,MONEY & AGGRAVATION DO NOT USE ZOLA!!!!

Terrible business practices

Terrible practices. We ordered a 300 pounds grill, and they specified "no signature, unattended drop-off, no assistance".

What am I supposed to do with a 300 pound box at the bottom of our stairs on a hill-side house? Literally every retailer in the world provides "rescue assistance" - Home Depot, Ace, even Amazon.

But not Zola. I complained to the delivery company Estes Level 2, I complained to Zola, and both claimed no responsibility.

Do yourself a favor if you find yourself using Zola - post all the registry items yourself without looking through their store, and ensure it's a cash gift. None of your guests will know, and you'll get all the money in the end. They mark everything up 2-5% more than their competitors anyway.

The worst part is they hold your cash hostage. Credit cannot be converted back to cash. So that $1300 we dropped on a new grill through their credit system that they are now refusing to refund (even though there's a 90 day return policy) because the pickup and return is too expensive - that credit is not available to us back as cash since they weren't able to complete the delivery.

Phone support essentially told me they're not responsible after drop off, but they never even gave us drop off options.

I'm so tired of these people.

Zola is the absolute worst.

This company is a joke I ordered my stuff last month October 14th we are now November 20th and I still have not received nothing I am about ready to go to the courts and file stuff by deception charges against this company

Never again will I ever use Zola

Never again will I ever use Zola. If I could go back in time, I would have chosen another platform for our registry. Since Zola was not able to fulfill several items bought for us on our registry, I was forced to use my Zola credits on miscellaneous gift cards. Then Zola issued these gift cards in the wrong amounts (less than the value of my credits) and are now holding $600 of my money hostage! Customer support doesn’t listen and hasn’t been able to resolve this issue for weeks! Completely soured my experience with Zola. You can bet I will never order off of any Zola registry in the future nor would I recommend to anyone.

Ordered an item over a YEAR ago, and keep getting emails about delays. I can find this item on other sites in stock, so I think they are scamming people for their money. AND I initially got charged twice.

Tried using their site, no good

Tried using their site, and they are so aggressive in trying to push you into their registry, its crazy. it makes everything really hard to use and not user friendly. I went with say I do for invitations and wedding website, and didn't use a registry in the end at all, so Zola was no good for us.

I know i should have done my research first but i was too "excited" about the $1 OFF for everything for today that i got scammed. I need my refund money back ASAP. or else i will file a claim against this website.

Never received item ordered

Very dissappointing experience, I ordered a Southpark Igloo cooler, it never arrived, no updates, no nothing.
I sent an email got a response that the cooler would indeed be arriving shortly, NOPE, sent another email... waiting for a response, I requested a refund.
In the meantime I started checking reviews, wish I would have done this in the first place, (I can't add a link per TP rules), if you search influenster.com you can find reviews there as well.
Customer service is slow and lacking, I will file a claim with my CC if I don't receive a response or refund soon. This is my experience with this company sad to say.

Don't do it

Don't do it. I ordered a table which gave a delivery date between the 4th and 12th of the following month (approx. Two weeks out). Those dates came and went. I called the support line, and after waiting on hold with the most annoying, repetitive hold music I've ever heard (clearly designed to get you to hang up), I spoke with an employee who lied and said the order had shipped and that I would get it the following day.

I interjected stating I hadn't seen a shipping confirmation, nor received tracking info. She again insisted it would arrive.

The next day, it didn't arrive. I wrote customer service who informed me that it had been placed on backorder, and that they had placed my request for cancellation with whatever department. My refund wasn't issued. Basically, I had to threaten a paypal claim to get them to finally refund my money.

Do yourself a favor and just spend an extra 10 bucks and order from someplace else. This place is apparently notorious for being out of stock on items it has available on it's website.

Zola is a terrible company.

Zola is a terrible company.

They sell you things before they have them in stock. If they aren't able to stock and ship them by the time they promised, they will email you a ship date change.

These emails will happen multiple times per week, and you will never actually get the product you ordered.

They know this happens, and have made order cancellations and refunds automatic.

Their entire business is based on them hoping that they can minimize the number of refunds they get without providing any customer service.

Their CEO, Shan-Lyn Ma, hides behind the internet while she knows that her chosen business practice is disgusting.

Run away from this company as fast as you can.

This is my genuine experience.
