I have contacted the Westminster collection twice and each time the person on the phone has been brilliant. They have on both occasions been polite and helpful and have resolved my problem. Well done 👍

I purchased the free Concorde 50 commemorative coin via a Facebook ad where you just pay the postage and get the coin free, as I have done with a number of other coin collection services with no issue at all.
I received the coin a few weeks later and though the packaging was very poor compared to other free coins I have ordered, I didn't really think anything of it and just noted that I wouldn't order any of their free coins again.
A few weeks later I had a notification from my bank saying The Westminster Collection had attempted to take £31.98 out of my account but were unable to due to insufficient funds.
I contacted my bank as I assumed this was an attempted fraudulent transaction but was told that I had been enrolled in a monthly subscription with The Westminster Collection without me knowing anything about it. The person I spoke to at that bank said this inertia selling happens all the time and advised I cancel the subscription.
I emailed The Westminster Collection telling them that I had NOT signed up to any subscriptions with them and to please remove my details from their database.
A few days later I received a letter from the Westminster Collection saying my next delivery for the Complete Concorde Commemorative Collection was enclosed and that I owed them £31.98 though nothing was enclosed apart from the account statement and an empty piece of cardboard packaging.
I received a letter today from their Debt Recovery Department today saying that there is an outstanding balance of £31.98 on my account and that this had now been passed to their debt recovery department for further action and that if I failed to make the payment within 7 days, a further admin fee of £30.00 would be added and they would seek legal action to recover the monies owed!
This is obviously very threatening and concerning, particularly as they haven't even sent the Coin that was apparently the second delivery in the Concorde commemorative collection that I didn't even sign up for in the first place.
I'm not quite sure how they are able to get away with this as having now done some research, it seems there are lots of people having the same issue. Absolute low life scammers -AVOID!

I received 3 envelopes on the same day. 2 had coins inside which I had ordered. One did not have a coin and the envelope was not securely stuck closed. Maybe the coin had fallen out, I do not know. After telling Westminster collection they have said they will replace the missing coin.

Bought a single item.
Did not realise it enrolled you in a collection/subscription service nightmare, I checked and looked before buying anything, it is not on the Original Internet listing it is sent to you after the fact in an email😠 That was sorted into my junk folder
Contacted them to cancel.
Received written confirmation on 23 May that the collection had been cancelled.
Today Received another pile of junk in a unmarked box nothing to distinguish whom it is from.
Returns process has been difficult practically impossible as the post office collection service does NOT recognised the address 🙄
You're disabled and dealing with unwanted deliveries creates additional hassle, cost an wastes the time of my carers who are here to help me with care needs not to return cancelled unwanted toot!

The lady I spoke to was more than helpful and very kind as I had got myself into a terrible muddle. Much appreciated to have someone who takes a bit more time and doesn’t make the customer feel bad. Thank you

They advertise free coins in which you only cover the cost for delivery, and then automatically sign you up to a self-renewing subscription. They evade legal action by making details regarding this unwanted subscription sign-up as unnoticeable as possible, as this company relies on the customer not noticing the fine print. I am a student and have very little money, thankfully that also means the funds did not exist in my account to unknowingly pay for this coin in the first place. It does not matter that you state information regarding this subscription sign-up upon purchase, as multiple people have expressed that this has happened to them too. This emerging trend suggests that this company has not accepted any responsibility nor taken any action towards ensuring the customer does not so easily sign up to this subscription service unknowingly.
If this standing charge is not cancelled after my return is made, or if my return is not received within a reasonable timeframe causing the 30 day return period to conveniently elapse, I will make it my mission to bring greater public awareness to this automatic-subscription feature so that others may not fall to this company's questionable sales approach.

Absoloute farce of a company. Purchased a pin badge via their offer through facebook. The offers are only to sneakily enrol you in a subscription package. The subscription is not clearly stated on facebook or at checkout. I am now being threatened with legal action. I advise anyone considering a purchase to avoid at all cost.

In the four years I've been collecting coins and other memorabilia, I have always found them to be understanding, considerate, and very knowledgeable when offering new items to add to my ever growing collection. I cannot find anything to fault them on. I would highly recommend them to you whether you a new collector just starting out, or an established collector, you cannot go far wrong with Westminster Collections.
