Rabbie’s small group tours are driven by curiosity and guided by storytellers. We find the stories that go deeper and live longer in travellers' minds. On our journeys, everyone’s hungry for the little-known or just-happened, and we can go after them: no track too small, too trodden or obscure. No need for scripts, because our guides know places like the back of their hand.

2 day tours... highly recommend
We took 2 Rabbie's tours while on our visit. The first, with Eric was a West Highlands 1 day tour and a 1 day trip to North East Coastal tour with Neil. Both were knowledgeable and interesting guides. Offered enough toilet breaks and restaurant/ cafe recommendations when we had lunch on our own. The scenery was spectacular. If you have a short stay or aren't driving, these tours are a great option. Shout-out to Neil for pointing out an Orca and taking us to a puffin nesting sight where we enjoyed watching the birds. Amazing days! 10/10
Fantastic Outlander 4 day trip!
We went on the 4 day outlander tour with Rabbies for my husband’s 50th Birthday. The minute we stepped onto the minibus wi the our Scottish dressed guide and Outlander music playing I knew this was going to be a special tour and it didn’t disappoint! Our guide and driver - Simon was incredible.. his knowledge and passion for Scottish history and Outlanders is phenomenal and the way he tells us you makes you feel you are the first person he shares it with.. The schedule was jam packed with fantastic outlander (also historic) film locations so if you are an Outlander fan you will love this tour!
Russell was a fabulous tour guide
Russell was a fabulous tour guide! Loved his stories along the route explaining the history of the area, clans, and Mary Queen of Scots. The route taken through the Highlands was absolutely breathtaking.
The best day out!!
Bus was spotless and comfortable. Duncan our tour guide was fantastic, just the right balance between insights into Scotland's history and culture and some awesome music on the bus. Beautiful scenery and an awesome day out!
Great tour!
The tour was as described in the write up. The guide was entertaining and informative. The sights were wonderful to see!
A great trip with great guides
Jim Scott Magnifique
Our tour guide, Jim Scott, was engaging and gave excellent recommendations for sights to see and food to eat.
Jim was superb at rolling with the punches and replanning when the road to our destination was closed due to an accident.
I was also assured my boat tickets would be refunded for the Loch Ness tour by email before we even returned from the tour.
Tour with the best guide, Darryl, to Loch Ness
A long day tour to Loch Ness, with beautiful stops and stunning views. Culloden is such a special place. But the best thing was our amazing guide and driver Darryl who made this journey unforgettable.
Two Tours with Rabbie's - We Recommend Them!
We did 2 tours with Rabbie's out of Inverness this past week - the Loch Ness tour with Neal and the Isle of Skye tour with Ryan. Both tours were excellent, the buses were very comfortable (ok - except for those super tight seatbelts!), and we really enjoyed the smaller size of the tour group (16 vs 30-40 on other tours I read about). Our guides were both outstanding and each had great information, stories, and answers to questions along the way. If you do Loch Ness - we definitely recommend adding the optional boat ride on the Loch. Isle of Skye was gorgeous - a longer day but very different scenery than Loch Ness. So glad we had the opportunity to experience both places.
If I could make a suggestion for improvement, it would be to not only send a confirmation when you book the tour, but also a reminder confirmation with specifics about where to meet and at what time 24 hours prior to the start of the tour. We were able to find our original tour confirmations by searching my email, but I found I had to go back to the Rabbie's website to research where to meet and at what time as it wasn't in our email. Not an insurmountable concern, but could be made more efficient by an email the day prior to a tour.
Highly recommend Rosslyn Chapel and the Borders!
Nathan made our Rabbie's tour to Rosslyn Chapel and the Borders entertaining and timely. He enchanted us with stories of the area as we traveled, some well-suited Scottish tunes, and incredible tales. Our time at Rosslyn Chapel, Melrose, Scott's View, and the Wallace Monument were perfectly plotted. Not once did we feel rushed nor that we were lagging somewhere too long. Plenty of time to enjoy lunch in Melrose at a pub and then to walk around the Abbey.
Our Tour Guide and driver was really…
Our Tour Guide and driver was really great, made the trip interesting and we never felt that we overstayed our welcome in one place. We often felt that we wanted a bit more time. Time management is critical and we managed to depart on time and Francis would go and find people who were lost.
On the bus all day - captive audience to self-centered driver
Rabbies was well organised with a nice welcome at the meeting point and everything was on time. Unfortunately my family and I have nothing more positive to say. Firstly, the tour that we selected was the one-day tour of Glencoe, Highlands and Loch Ness. This was a 12 hour day in a small, crowded, completely full minibus. We knew it would be a long day but we did not think we would spend all day on the bus. Other then some quick on/off toilet stops the only time you are out of the bus is 1-1/2 hour at Loch Ness. Which means over 10 hours of just sitting in the crowded suffocating bus. I am sure some of their other tours might be better, but I wouldn't recommend this particular one. We thought we would be spending more time outside of the bus enjoying the scenery and fresh air.
Secondly, all of us were very very very very unhappy with our tour guide. So unhappy that we tried to figure out how to leave the tour and get a train back to Edinburgh, and we even bought ear plugs on one of the stops. I don't believe in public shaming people so I won't name the driver here, but imagine 12 hours of non-stop (and I do mean relentlessly never taking a breath) rattling on about his personal music taste, movie trivia, incredibly bad jokes, and the occasional tidbit of relevant Scottish history. It was excruciating. We were desperate to escape. He seemed to enjoy forcing us all to listen to his personal show and did not seem the least bit interested in the comfort or enjoyment of his paying passengers. He even said " if all you want is to see lovely views and take photos this isn't the tour for you". And at the end of the tour, after many many mentions of tipping, he stood at the door of the bus and force hugged everyone as they exited whether they wanted to or not. I saw him doing it and I held my bags in front of me and tried to side step him but he grabbed me anyway, it was incredibly rude and inappropriate.

Oxford University and surrounding villages
Tom was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, professional, and a good driver! Really enjoyed Oxford on our own as well as the small villages. However, I think the last village warranted a visit, but I didn’t think the first two warranted them that much. The last village I thought was the prettiest, had more available to see/do but we barely had enough time to look at the Arlington Street let alone get something cool to drink, etc. I suggest subtracting one of the first two villages from the Tour, adding additional time to the last village so that we can more enjoy what it has to offer.
The Isle of Skye tour with the best…
The Isle of Skye tour with the best guide, Adam, was truly the best. It was an unforgettable tour.
Great tour!
The ease of booking, checking-in, and the actual tour itself all made this experience wonderful. Shea, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She told great stories that centered on history, fun facts, and current information. We loved the timing of the trip and saw a lot in a short day trip. We did the Highlands, Lochs, and Castle day trip tour.
Cornwall exploration …
I was searching for a tour of Cornwall that fit my timetable of five days. Rabbies came up in my search. I liked the way they structured the tour with airfare and hotels not included in the tour price.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve always used large tour companies. The tour ended up being one of the best I been on. We really enjoyed the small number, only 15 people on the tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information about the area and culture. Which I really liked. Our day was structured very well with just enough time at each stop.
I plan on using Rabbies again when we tour in UK. They fit my budget and tour style.
I don’t recommend it at all
I don’t recommend it at all
The guide haven’t said a word in the entire day, I was hoping to learn a lot from Scotland and just got a really long full day transfer. Disappointing and a waste of money. I expect a refund as it was a terrible tour due to the guide.
