Just returned from our Ancient & Modern Japan trip. A very busy 2 weeks. There is a lot of fast paced walking, around 8-10 miles per day. But if you want to see the variety that Japan has to offer... See more

We have just returned from our Exodus cultural/ walking trip to Rome, Assisi and Umbria. What an absolutely superb trip! (And we've done 20!)! It is a brilliant blend of different experiences. We saw some of the key sites in Rome, which was wonderful, but, personally, I particularly loved visiting the gorgeous mediaeval hill top villages in the glorious countryside of Umbria, which must be one of the most beautiful regions of this beautiful country. The hotel ( a converted monastery) was superb, and very friendly, with excellent food. The included walks (on three days, as well as town tours on other days) were lovely, especially the last one. There were some steep slopes but generally they were not that hard - at the easier end of a 'level 2' for sure. The included 'experiences' were also very good, particularly the wine tasting which we all loved, and the cooking class (great fun and delicious too!). The beer tasting was much less successful with our group, mainly because most of us didn't like this particular kind of beer, but that may be different with other groups of course! Needless to say the chocolate tasting was also popular...!!
Our leader, the truly brilliant Gabriele Garbangelo, was easily up with the very best we've ever experienced. He went 'the extra mile' at every opportunity, had amazing local knowledge about everything we asked about (but particularly the complex history of the area) and was so friendly too. We feel so lucky to have had him. We were lucky to have a small( just 6 of us) but really nice group too!
Overall I'd highly recommend this trip. It's one of the very best!
Just returned from a hiking trip to Chamonix/Mont Blanc. It was amazing. From the selection of hikes to the food prepared by staff to the accommodations this trip exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!
It was my second cycling trip with the company and it was equally good from all perspectives. Very well led and guided, mostly very comfortable hotels and all were clean and welcoming. Great choices of local restaurants along the route, very informative historically and environmentally.
Very helpful friendly & not pushy.Did what they said they would do.
Recently returned from a Highlights of Ecuador and Galapagos trip. First time using Exodus and will definitely be travelling with them in future.
Well planned itinerary, excellent tour guides, good standard of accommodation and smooth booking process meaning this is one of the best group tour companies I have used.
The booking on the website didn't work, maybe because I wasn't in the UK.
When I phoned , however, they were able to make the booking very quickly.
I learnt a lot about the countries I visited in a fairly short space of time. The guides were knowledgeable. Our guide Mindaugus was excellent.
The hotel accommodations were in the main excellent although one was not as good as the others due to its size and coach party clientele. This is why I would give 4.7 stars if I could and not 5.
On the whole this trip was all I wished for and I am looking forward to processing my images to remind me of all the places I have seen.
I have been with Exodus on quite a few trips and have always enjoyed holidaying in a small group with like minded people from different parts of the world.

I have been on about 13 trips with exodus, I love the itineraries, the off the beaten track locations, the activities, the care they take of their customers and the guides are top notch. The group sizes are not to big. They often have discounts and I benefit from a loyalty dicount. I won't book with anyone else.
Answering queries quickly and providing any requested information accurately. The booking process is simple and providing a contact is very useful
I loved my Sardinian adventure. The bike ride was challenging and certainly not for beginners. The kayaking was amazing and the sea clearer than I’ve ever seen before. The tour guide Michele was absolutely the best and went above and beyond for all of our group. I’d highly recommend this trip, just make sure you are fit enough so that you won’t be disappointed when you get there.
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday : Southern Africa Safari: Kruger and the coast. It was an excellently constructed tour with sea and safari encounters working in tandem. We had complete trust in our leaders, the wildlife encounters were stunning and we learnt much about the environments of the two countries we visited. Heartily recommended.

The walking week was really fun. The hotel was beautiful
And hosting generous. Chris, our tour leader, was exceptional - very professional, kind and full of knowledge for walking in mountains and local history. The dining experience was also outstanding and fellow walkers a pleasure to share walking and time with.

We travelled to Uzbekistan with exodus. The trip couldnt have been better. The sightseeing culture food was amazing. Homestay yurt and travelling by sleeper train added to the experience. ATMs were available everywhere no need to take dollars. Though you can pay on dollars if you have them. 1m som is about £62 so seemed strange take huge amounts out. Cheap for food and drink. £15 for 2 at dinner. Would recommend exodus to anyone. Never disappoint

8 Day cycling adventure along the coast of Portugal from Porto to Lisbon. Excellent, knowledgeable English speaking guide who lead us through Pine and Eucalyptus forests to the dunes of the Atlantic coast. We cycled past agricultural fields, estuaries, small farming towns, and castles. Great communication throughout the whole process of booking with this company. Great communications with our group through WhatsApp. I would recommend this trip to any bike enthusiast.

Just back from three weeks camping (overland truck) which covered 5,100 miles from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to Cape Town in South Africa. This is the BEST trip I have ever been on our guides, Ian and Ende, worked tirelessly for three weeks solid to ensure it was the best experience ever. This is an adventure not a holiday!

I doubt there is a better tour operator for adventure holidays out there. I've taken well over 12 trips all over the world and Exodus is a brand that generally delivers most consistently from cycling to activity to culture. Stimulating, well organised itineraries with good back up, accommodation and food all made possible by selecting and recruiting excellent guides, who they hopefully pay well and it's not just our tips. (apart from that one time in Kerala cycling when the guide was consistently irresponsible but we all got money back!)So Exodus do listen, do care and will do everything they can especially in the very unlikely event the guide is rubbish. I would use them without hesitation whether you are travelling singly or as a couple.

They are always very helpful and keep you updated on everything related to your trip.
Very easy to book, great communication and everything worked well and went smoothly from the flights to transfers to the activity. Excellent leader who was very well organised and knowledgeable, as well as being very sociable and friendly. We stayed in some great places, the cycling was very enjoyable with plenty of stops and a good pace. An excellent holiday.
