By and larger I really like 2025…
By and larger I really like 2025 Moneyspire, however, the form to “Add new Transactions” is so small it’s very difficult to read and see if you typed the correct information in the fields. I asked for Help and only got a reply to change the Scale in Windows. That helped but didn’t correct the issue. In some way it made viewing the register harder because thing because now they will not fit on the screen. When I went to the Help section and reviewed the “Add New Transactions Form” the example is quite larger and easy to read. So, why can’t you make the form bigger in the register with out having to change the scale in Windows.
I found doing reports difficult to figure out how to get what I want. Example:! “Expenses by Payee” only not with income.
As I said in the beginning: I really like 2025 Moneyspire, it’s much faster than Quicken in most ways.
Moneyspire doesn't honor unsubscribe…
Moneyspire doesn't honor unsubscribe requests.
I've tried probably a dozen times over the last few years, but it never works. It's not surprising though, because they ignored my support requests back when I was trying to get their product to work. (wouldn't properly download my investment transactions).
The irony though, is that if they had simply honored the unsubscribe, I never would have had the opportunity to give them this bad review. :-D
For the record, I attempted again to unsubscribe today - 2/17/2025
Converted from QuickBooks to Moneyspire
I have a small contracting business and mainly needed a checkbook register, that would allow me to print checks and print invoices. Moneyspire does way more than I need, and I no longer pay the annual fee to use QuickBooks.

Really good software
We migrated from Intuit's Quickbooks…
We migrated from Intuit's Quickbooks Desktop in January 2024 when they forced an outrageous price increase. Moneyspire is a comprehensive, yet very lean application. The conversion process was easy, and using it is intuitive.
It is faster, easier to correct mistakes (such as changing an item from 'Withdrawal' to 'Deposit'), and it allows changing account names directly without having to delete and renter items.
Moneyspire is reasonably priced and offers annual updates with a 50% discount if purchased before publication. We are very pleased and highly recommend it.

We use Moneyspire to track our spending.
The ability to easily share among our computers works great for us.
I spend the money to upgrade every year because it is worth it to me.
I always receive answers to my support questions.

I used MS Money for decades and had to find a replacement. I still print checks for various accounts. Moneyspire does an excellent job. Its intuitive and simple to use, but is also powerful and loaded with features.
I really like Moneyspire
I really like Moneyspire. It is logical and certainly adequate for my needs. It has a pleasing appearance that is easily customized. I like the cloud feature that keeps the data safe from "computer glitches" etc. After years of other competitors my vote is for Moneyspire.
Moneyspire 2025-Buggy interface-inconsistent opening view
Moneyspire 2025 (paid upgrade) has a buggy interface, with inconsistent opening views.
The upgrade itself works OK, but the opening views for the different sections (Accounts, Reminders, ...) don't always open correctly, requiring resizing of the
sections, or restarting the application to be able to view the sections correctly.

Program is an efficient financial tool
Have used Moneyspire for the past six years. The program is an efficient, easy to navigate way to manage our current personal finances plus quickly look back at historical data.
Periodic updates, based on user input, is also helpful.
Overall it's OK.
Overall, it is ok. There are many bugs such as issues connecting/downloading from banks, downloads accurately marking items as reconciled. The Windows and Mac version feel different. I have been using it for several years and some of my reported bugs have been in existence for several years without a fix. It is usable but you have to double check everything.
Moneyspire stopped syncing with Chase
Moneyspire stopped working with Chase. Couldn't get my transactions. Contacted multiple time Moneyspire customer service; they never cared to respond. Went back to Quicken

Reports are just bad
Reports are just bad, failed to list investment income, no special tax report. No thought in this product.
I was a long time quicken user
I was a long time quicken user. Quicken price structure changed so I took the risk to move to Moneyspire about eight years ago. I have NEVER regretted it. It is easy to use and reasonably priced. Their response to my few concerns have been timely. They annually provide improvements. My son also made the move to Moneyspire.
Just what I needed for my checkbook…
Just what I needed for my checkbook needs. Short learning curve, basic, no pop-up windows trying to sell you crap you don't need!!! Nice transaction duplicate function for those monthly entries.
