Great support service
Great support service. The support officer was very prompt in his replies and quickly identified the mistake I was making which was causing the problem. He was able to do this from the limited information that I sent him. He obviously had a very comprehensive technical knowledge of the software. I'm very happy with the outcome.
Things look good on paper
Things look good on paper. Only. Refreshing bank feeds was 'challenging'. I understand that technology isn't perfect for that, and living in Canada seemed no exception. Customer support person initially helpful, but then was abandoned.

It's free
It's free! It works! So far, I've not have any problems. I use it to track my banks and my credit cards not for any thing else.

I've used Quicken personal financial software for Windows, going on 40 years. I mainly use it to keep an eye on banking and investments, in one view and also to allocate upcoming monthly expenses to gauge cash flow.
The last several years, Quicken had added so many useless bells and whistles that it's become cumbersome and unstable. If you prefer reliability over frills, take a serious look at Moneyspire.com. I've been running Moneyspire in parallel with Quicken for over a year, and I'm about to pull the plug on Quicken -- after 40 years! Plus, Moneyspire offers an outright purchase (you own it), rather than an annual subscription like Quicken (you only own it if you keep paying).
Communication/help desk reliable and great!
Asked a few questions and the response was quick and decisive and favourable for me. Ive never had to wait long at all for every query Ive had over a number of years now. Reliability is paramount for me.
program works well once you input all the required info.
I like how the program organizes all of the info and provides the necessary reports ands reminders.
I just love it and rely on it SO MUCH
I use Moneyspire for ALL my financial tracking at both home and for our small business. The absolute best part is the forecasting ability. When I had a problem accessing my account, I really panicked. I reached out to the support team and within minutes, they responded and fixed my software error. Crisis averted!!!
This was my replacement for Microsoft Money, and I'm WAY happier with it's functionality.
LOVE IT!!!
Support is first class
Support is first class, and Moneyspire is good software. I switched from Pocketsmith and I'm glad I did. Moneyspire makes tracking spending and planning budgets very simple.
Great customer service
Even though the program didn't turn out to be what I had hoped for, they took care of refunding my purchase price without any problem.
Moneyspire Connect
It's an excellent program, however the Moneyspire Connect for downloading transactions is flaky and inconsistent at best. When downloading transactions from an account that has worked in the past, they either won't download, or I have to do it several times to get all of the transactions to download. Sometimes I have to delete the connection and start a new one. Downloading transactions is the most important feature for me and I would give 5 stars if not for this problem.
Support is always quickly responsive.
Preferred Over Quicken
Around when Quicken went to a subscription service, I switched to Moneyspire (around 2018?). I have been satisfied ever since. I download transactions from 8 bank accounts and 12 credit card accounts daily.
Only wish I could download with mobile devices and not just my desktop.
Other than that, this is a great product.

When I paid for a newer version a couple of years ago. It took months to hear anything so, I had to send email regarding pre-paid version before the link was sent I do not recommend buying the product before it is released.

I moved to Mac and needed a replacement for Microsoft Money. Moneyspire is excellent. It is a shame you need to pay a full price each year but after all it is a business.
Quicken user since 1990
I had been a Quicken user since the first Windows version (1990 I believe) When I got unhappy with the new owners billing changes, I searched for a replacement. Moneyspire sounded good, and I could try it without risk. When the conversion happened error free, I ran both Quicken and Moneyspire for a month. No problems, stopped updating Quicken. That was 5 years ago. Last upgrade was July 2024.
I like the basic product, but . . .
I like the basic product, but inquiries, suggestions and reported issues often go unacknowledged. I have been upgrading every year since 2020. They started at $15, but are now up to $40, and for my purposes that's too much for too little. I have read that if you don't upgrade, Moneyspire nagwares you to death. This concerns me greatly. I don't want a sales pitch every time I use this. It's the main reason I abandoned Quicken.
A very exciting Software
The product is improving each year and that is a step in the right direction. The product still has a way to go to be like some of the other online products. However, I will continue to support this product and the direction it is heading.
Perfect software for home accounts.
Perfect software for home accounts and keeping track of expenditure and investments. It is easy to use and does everything I need.

This is an excellent money tracking and budgeting program that does NOT reside in the cloud. It is linked to all your bank and credit cards making it easy to insure you are tracking everything. It has an inexpensive one time fee and no charge for the bank linkage. Easy export to excel which I found was not necessary. Overall, the best decision I made in financial software.
