Great visit to the Jorvik York Showroom.
My long journey from Paisley to visit York Showroom to test ride the tricycle. The team was very helpful from start to finish. I arrive early well before my appointment slot and they offer me refreshment and let me walk round the showroom to look at tricycle on display on my own. Had one in mind what I was looking for to see if it suit me or not. Try couple of tricycle around their showroom track and the team rise the handlebar for me due to my short arms. The tricycle that I had in mind was perfect and end up buying it on the spot. Very glad to made the journey and left happy.
It's only took four days for delivery and the courier phone the day before with time slot. The delivery driver was brilliant he took the tricycle around the back of my house since it's on a pallet.
Very easy to build up and follow the instruction in the pack. Very happy indeed. Well done to all team at Jorvik.

Difficulty in sourcing spare battery.
Staff were polite and friendly but to source a battery for a four year old heavily used trike I was asked to pay upfront with no timescale of when I could expect delivery. In effect an interest free loan so I looked elsewhere.

Great service from Jake.
Jake was welcoming and clearly had excellent product knowledge. What made him exceptional was his previous experience working with mobility challenged people such as my self. He really made the difference in being able to assess my needs and show me the best options from the Jarvik range. The facility was immaculate and I was able to ride the bike around the factory unit. All questions were handled well and I was able to leave there with every bit of knowledge I required. Did I buy a trike? No not yet but I was impressed with the build quality of the trike and the ride experience. It’s a matter of making the right decision now. BUT….i was able to leave the showroom without having been pressured into a decision. Which was great and full credit to Jake. I will make a decision in the next few days but it will be a Jarvik or nothing.

The Eastleigh shop
We used the Eastleigh shop. The two members of staff were excellent. We were shown the trike we wanted by the gent (sorry name has completly gone) who is an excyclist. Have to say, he was a walking cycle manual, very helpful and knowledgeable with a great person to person approach which is a must have. Now just waiting for the trike to arrive, we live on the Channel Islands so a bit of a way to deliver. Would recommend this business to anyone looking for a trike.

Awesome bike. Poor communication by Jorvik
Rang Jorvik up to purchase the JMT 3 250W in green. I mentioned I had a herniated disc and was told by the lady that I would get the VAT knocked off. Brilliant. 3 days went by and I heard nothing, so I rang and was to " there was no one from dispatch in,however we will ring you back today" ( I rang in the morning). 3pm I rang them as I heard nothing but was told that there was a problem with the order and I could have the bike in red but it would take 2 weeks as it will need modifying. WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE RING ME TO TELL ME. I shouldn't have to ring them to find out!! 2 and a half weeks later there courier arrived UNANNOUNCED!! ( which seems to be a common complaint) with the bike in a box mark "fragile" and " do not drop on edge" I was expecting the box to be horizontal on a wooden pallet, not vertical!!! I have a poor back which is why I got this trike. How the hell was I going to get bike out! Luckily my elderly neighbour has a better back the mine, managed to push the box over. The bike is amazing, apart from who ever put battery holder in, put it in too low so I couldn't get the release key in. I did send Jorvik pictures and how I solved the issue however ,no one got back to me to thank me for resolving the problem. Jorvik, you need to communicate with customers allot better

Jorvik Drakkan II - Visited the Southampton showroom
Visited the Southampton showroom. Very impressed. All the models were available to view and try. Indoor track is very good.
Customer service excellent. Terry took us through the bikes and got us riding around in no time with a very pleasant relaxed demeanour.
Bikes seem very well made, stable and quite powerful. I did not feel pushed into making a purchase but Ordered 2 anyhow, now we just have to wait.
If your looking for a well made, stable tricycle I think this might be the one

delighted with my Trike
I had wanted one of these trikes for a couple of years, have seen people out and about on them in the area where I live and when I spoke to them they all seemed happy with the trike, zero negative reviews (I spoke in person to 4 owners). I even got to try one and loved it from the first push of the peddle. Glad I got one, great service, lovely people and people are important because I know I have support if for some reason something goes wrong. Quick delivery, and clear communication, Trike arrived with minimum fuse and the last 5% put together was simple. Arrived charged so I was off on an adventure straight away. Delighted.

Drakkar II
Ordering my Drakkar II online was a doddle, the delivery date was a little vague to begin with but after getting in touch with the lovely peeps at Jorvik, Einar (Norse for lone warrior) was delivered a month later. He arrived very well packed.
I'd never ridden a trike before, and over 30 years ago since I rode (and fell off) a bike. I was hopelessly naïve in assuming the trike would be a passive ride. It's not. The first day was a mix of exhilaration and fear. I don't think there's one flat road in our village, so I had to learn on a slope, this was a challenge. I would recommend watching videos on youtube that discuss leaning, your upper body plays a big part in staying seated if you take the trike on anything but a flat surface, more so off road.
Before I took him out on the trail, I fitted an oversized seat - trust me it's worth it, your bottom will thank you. Day two, I completed nearly 13 miles on forest trails, some of which were quite hairy but lots of fun.
Yesterday I had absolutely no idea about the power assist and gears, one day later I feel competent enough. There's still a lot to learn off road though, let the adventures begin! :)
