IH are a small, local, sustainable, and ethical business so I love to support them when I can, I bought the amazing sequin face masks during lockdown and I've bought many other fab pieces over the years. I bought a gorgeous top recently and the quality is amazing, but most of all when there was a small delay Sam was so helpful and even checked the delivery arrived safely. So grateful for the quality and attentiveness from IH!

My fifth (?) purchase from IH. The new system is working well, received this within 10 days of ordering. A sequinned dream!

Absolutely love my ‘til death do us part’ denim jacket for my wedding. Asked for a personalisation and it was done without any problems and came out beautifully. The jacket seemed to be the talk of the wedding. The team were so helpful getting it to me in time, couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks again 😊

Was keen to shop from this company due to their sustainable approach and size range, not to mention gorgeous clothes. Hugely disappointed as their website asks to allow 21 days for delivery. Have been waiting almost 5 weeks for my order and have yet to even receive a dispatch notification. Emailed twice to no response. I understand they are currently downsizing but these are not cheap products, if you need to adjust the volume of orders you take on for the size of your team please do that instead of increasing wait time without notice and ignoring customers. Will not order again.

I am absolutely blown away by the service from Samatha and her amazing team! I ordered the gorgeous teal carnival sequin dress after much debate (I already have gold and black!!) but eventually went for it as the style is just perfect for me. Knowing I was hoping to wear it just a few days later Samantha did everything she could and got it to me with time to spare! With each purchase, I have received customer service like I have never experienced before. The dress is beautiful and wearing it last night I felt amazing! Thanks again for pulling out all the stops for me! Xx

First of all, what a dress! I love it. Secondly, an amazing turnaround from Sam and her team - I tried the dress on Friday, it needed alterations, and I received it on Wednesday in time for an event. Very pleased :)

Amazing service, requested before I ordered if they could do it in a week for an event. Got a quick reply that it would be possible so ordered and received within the week and delighted with my dress. The communication has been brilliant. Sam and her team are fabulous to deal with. Thanks so much.

Another review similar to some recently. I ordered and paid for 2 items six weeks ago and they have not arrived and I've received no reply to several emails. I've sent messages on Instagram which get an acknowledgement but no one has come back to even offer a timeline or set an expectation. I love to support small businesses who make stunning plus size clothing available but basic customer service is required.

I ordered two items in August and had not received them so I emailed the company in October. They responded saying it would be shipped on October 30th. I never received a confirmation my order had shipped. I’ve emailed them twice without receiving a response. I contacted my CC company yesterday to dispute the charge. I’m so disappointed. I wanted this to be a good experience. I like what they stand for but wouldn't order from them again.

Beautiful jacket & great service

I had the best time at the Christmas dress workshop - what a great concept. Sam and her team created a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. There was plenty of time to go through the different dress making stages and someone was always available to help. I was amazed at what I could achieve in such a short (4hr) space of time with a bit of help and guidance. I left with a gorgeous dress which I'll be very proud to say I made myself! Can't wait to attend another workshop. Thank you x

I’d first heard about Isolated Heroes from a TikTok, and I fell head over heels in love with the sequins and fun designs of Samantha‘s dresses. As they are handmade and slow fashion, I decided to splurge on a piece for a special occasion in May, and made sure I ordered way in advance to insure that I would be receiving my dress in time.

Well, that was in February and it’s now November.

I have never received my dress, let alone a refund. Unfortunately, I can only agree with the negative reviews on here: This has hands down been the most frustrating and irritating online shopping experience I have ever had, and it’s been so long, that I sometimes actually forget I’m still owed quite some money.

I understand that they are a small business, and Sam is apparently handling all the customer service by herself, but this is no way to conduct business or build a reliable reputation for slow fashion brands.

The customer service, for a lack of a better word, is horrendous. I’m sure many people have had lovely shopping experiences and I hope many continue to, but as soon as something goes wrong with your order, you’re essentially on your own. If I want empty promises, slow responses, and always having to text first in order to get a follow up information, I text my favourite emotionally unavailable man, not a fashion brand I’ve ALREADY paid to receive my item. As a customer it is incredibly frustrating and frankly, a little rude, to be made to feel like a nuisance as well as constantly being forgotten about.

This is my first bad review EVER and I really hate to complain. I truly think that if you are lucky and everything goes well with your order, you’ll be happy and absolutely look gorgeous, but for me it would not be worth it again taking the gamble with their lacklustre customer service and communication.

This is the second sweater I have brought, the second one was ordered as soon as I opened the parcel with the first one in. Excellent quality, well made, and super designs. Customer service was superb and very friendly. My second one is coming tomorrow, and I have already purchased another one for my daughter for Xmas.

I ordered a jacket recently and I was so so pleased with it - the team were also great in adding pockets at my request. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience, will be back to book more with my daughter and other family members to do something personalised. My daughter is adhd and aus this didnt phase Sam at all, the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly and inclusion was at the heart of everything Sam did. Nothing was too difficult and she went out her way to make sure my daughter had everything she needed to enjoy the experience from positive emcouragement to additional help on the day. My daughter couldn't manage the fiddly bits and i wasnt great either but we were encouraged to try our best. Fantastic experience and we will be back to add to our jacket

It took a long time for my item to arrive. There was a lot of emailing and messaging from me to find out when it would be arriving. My item looks slightly different from what was advertised. Not so much ruffle netting as advertised on the photo!
