I’d been eyeing up dresses on Isolated Heroes for ages and was sorry to hear they were closing, so was really happy to see a dress I’d been coveting in my size offered on their Instagram page as they sold off their last pieces of stock. Communication was great until I sent the money, at which point I never heard from them again and never received the dress. Scammed or just poor admin? Hard to tell given the number of 1* reviews here. Wouldn’t have minded if the delivery was slow if I got a response to any of my messages. I eventually opened a dispute on PayPal and got my money back. Really disappointing cos I really wanted the dress!

Placed a final order with a gift voucher back in Dec 2024 so I wouldn't miss out after the announcement of closure. Never received my order (currently May 2025).

When contacted by myself and friend (who gifted the voucher) initially we were told item was on its way, offered to call me, apologies etc then they stopped responding.

Sad considering I'd purchased a few items before, always had good service and recommended to others.

I’ve bought multiple pieces from isolated heroes over the years, most recent last week, and have always been happy with 1) the quality of the product, 2) the communication and dedication from the team 3) the variety of styles and products available and 4) the ease of exchanges if necessary (I had to exchange a size once).
They’re a true grass roots brand, with items made in Dundee.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this brand again.

I have been window shopping on Isolated Heroes website for a while, as I love their designs, and I wasn’t disappointed with my first purchase. I bought the Oil Slick Midi dress and I absolutely love it! The quality of the fabric and finish is fantastic and the dress looks and feels great on. I can’t wait to wear it over the party season and beyond!

I found the website easy to navigate and completing my purchase was very smooth. I was in touch with Sam with some questions after I made my order, and she was incredibly helpful and friendly. I received my dress a short time after ordering. Having tried it on at home I realised I had ordered the wrong size, but Isolated Heroes were really accommodating and I was able to exchange the dress for another size.

The service I have received from start to finish from Sam and the Isolated Heroes Team has been 5 star. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend to my friends.

I’ve ordered a couple of times from Isolated Heroes and both times I’ve had to chase up for delivery updates. First time I waited a month for a T-shirt to be delivered. I haven’t bought any of the higher value items (they do look amazing) but I’ve ordered a T-shirt and a pair of earrings. In terms of quality, the T-shirt material felt quite cheap and thin. I love my earrings but they do feel cheap but then again, they only cost me £15. I will buy again from Isolated Heroes as I do really like their designs.

I got a custom jacket made for my wedding, whilst the jacket was well made it literally got delivered to the venue one hour before I was getting married. The Mongolian scarf came with 4 safety pins for me to attach to the collar of the jacket myself and it just didn’t sit with the jacket as it did in the pictures. I’m not sure if that’s a standard way of sending out the jackets or if it’s usually attached and they ran out of time, but it was annoying trying to sort that out on my wedding day. There also weren’t enough safety pins to make the scarf attach to the jacket in the right way. There was a 7 week lead time between ordering and the final delivery date.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The website is easy to navigate and check out was super smooth. Quality of products is absolutely fantastic. I ordered a couple of boxy crops and some scrunchies and was amazed by the products when I opened my parcel. Friends have commented on how beautiful the items are and how good I look wearing them which made me feel super special 😌💫

Sam & Kat made my custom wedding dress and from start to finish it was a complete pleasure. The consultation was great and they made it very easy for me to understand all the details.

It arrived today and I cannot even believe how amazing it is, Kat is a magician! For a tulle dress to have so much substance and to feel so soft and luxurious, I am lost for words. It absolutely exceeded my expectations.

I cannot believe I get to own this dress, I can't wait to wear it and I cannot thank the Isolated Heroes team enough for making my dream dress a reality.

If you're thinking about getting something from them, DO IT! Support this amazing business and you won't be sorry.

Would give zero stars if I could. I ordered my dress on July 31st with an estimated delivery time of 21days. I’m writing this review on 28th October and I never received my dress.

I contacted the company 3 times before they answered my emails then at the end of August I was told that my dress would be posted out that week and that I would receive a voucher for my long wait. The dress wasn’t posted and I didn’t receive a voucher. I sent a further email in September asking for a refund and I was told my dress would be posted the next day and I would get a voucher neither was done. At the end of September I got a dispatch email saying it was posted but a whole month later the Royal Mail still hadn’t received the parcel.

Luckily I paid via PayPal and put in a claim for a refund through them. Isolated hero’s didn’t even answer the PayPal claim, I had to escalate my claim to enable me to be refunded.

I really wanted to support a small local business but don’t waist your money.

OMG! I’ve just received my order from isolated heroes yesterday and I am so bloody happy. The needle cord balloon trousers are amazing, so roomy and comfy. But I am overwhelmed by the leopard print jersey midi dress! I’m wearing it to work as we speak. Such a gorgeous dress. So comfy, so nice. I just feel so good right now!🤷‍♀️ I’ve only ever purchased sweaters before which I adore but I’ll definitely be keeping a look out for more dress styles in this jersey material. Hint, hint! 😘

The items are amazing and I wish I could afford to buy more of them.

The reason for three stars is that I ordered this item - advertised as ready to ship - on 1st September and it was delivered on 17th October.

I messaged IH on 22nd September to check in on what was happening as I hadn’t heard anything. I know things can take a while and I certainly wasn’t expecting next day delivery or anything! I got a message back right away apologising and saying it would be sent the next day.

Again, I heard nothing at all so messaged again a week later (28th September). There was no response so I messaged again the next day with more information. Again, no response. I gave it a week or so and messaged again on 7th October. I did then receive a response to say that it had been packed and shipped on September 30th. It was with Royal Mail, but had not been delivered. I was sent another dress and received it today on return from a family holiday.

I really don’t like to complain, especially about a small business, but it’s the lack of communication on 28th and 29th September that gets me, when obviously these messages had been seen and then the order packaged on the 30th. There was no apology or update after the initial response, when I’d been told it would be shipped on the 23rd and then it had obviously been forgotten, or this wasn’t possible and I hadn’t been informed. I just feel like it wasn’t brilliant service. Even a quick “Sorry this was missed- it’s on its way to you now!” on the 28th/29th would have been appreciated.

Love this small business so much gorgeous clothes and fantastic quality. Being size inclusive is the best!!!

I absolutely love what I ordered. It took a bit, but that's to be expected with it being handmade and living on a different continent. It's even more beautiful close up, I can't wait to wear it out!!

I cannot rave about this dress enough. Very comfortable. I dont want to ever take it off.
I'd say sizing is generous. I'm a 22/24 and got a size L. Fits perfect with room to move, can be belted and still won't look too tight.

Love the leopard print dress. Realise I probably should have purchased it in a smaller size but it’s great. It’s really comfy and looks fab!
