Easy to order

Easy to order, bought insulation for my garage conversion, they were helpful when I enquired by email about how much we would require and the thickness. Delivery arrived on a van as their truck could not get down my road so I needed to help the driver take the boards off but they did tell me about this beforehand so all good.

How can bussiness using the Internet for it's sales suddenly, after 5 days cancel an order with no explanation? On calling them I was informed that it was possibly lack of stock in my area. £90.00 delivery should cover moving branch to branch. Thanks a lot for nothing.

Great company

Talked to Emmet about type of insulation needed. He then arranged a forklift as access is difficult.Ordered and arrived on time with forklift to deliver next to building.

I am having to repost this honest…

I am having to repost this honest review for a third time because this company keep flagging it for removal.
Customer service is lacking. Waited almost a week to get a quote and then they never even bothered to read the initial enquiry.
Follow up questions ignored.
Head of Sales then sends you gaslighting emails.

Anything you say on Trust pilot that they do not like, they flag it for removal
Welcome to 1984 where your opinion no longer matters.

Your initial enquiry was received on the Friday afternoon of a Bank Holiday weekend. We responded to your message in under an hour, requesting further details about the products you wished to order and the delivery location.

In your reply, you asked for advice on which materials would be suitable. We advised that a member of our Sales Team would be in touch the following week to assist further.

When our offices reopened on Tuesday, we received follow-up messages from you expressing dissatisfaction that no one had contacted you sooner, despite it being a Bank Holiday and our offices being closed. Our Sales Manager responded to explain this, and we then had a Sales Agent reach out to clarify your requirements and offer suitable product recommendations based on your request for guidance.

Following this correspondence, our Sales Agent provided you with a tailored quotation based on your conversation. It was after this point that you chose to leave a review on Trustpilot, stating that our customer service was "lacking". We respectfully disagree with this assessment, as our team member went above and beyond to assist with your query and provide product advice based on the information you provided.

Regarding your Trustpilot review, we flagged it only after it contained statements that were demonstrably false and in violation of Trustpilot’s content guidelines. This was subsequently confirmed by Trustpilot, who removed the specific claims in question following their review.

We always welcome constructive feedback, positive or critical, when it is fair and accurate. However, we do not believe that to be the case in this instance. Our team is committed to delivering the best service possible and are always happy to assist with any concerns directly.

My experience was terrible

My experience was terrible

The item was badly described online.
I tried to return but they wanted to charge £30 to collect it
then I said I’d send a different /cheaper way they said they would then add £15 additional fee.
I have kept the unwanted item.
I tried to do an exchange but the information was again badly listed so I gave up uncertain of what I would receive. Do not buy a loft ladder or parts from this company.

Poor customer service and clear supplier damage.

We placed a large order of insulation from this company and its not the first time we've placed big orders from them. More often than not there is some damage but we deal with it as in the building trade its extremely fast paced and you havent got time to argue over material damages. However on this occasion the damages were just too great to ignore, we've left the whole order to one side and were forced to place this order again with another company, Now normally companies tend to have some form of understanding when it comes to damaged goods, especially when we supply photos but on this occasion all we got was the standard (You didn't report this to the driver at the time) yes well i didn't report this because the order was accepted by our labourer. despite all this the damage was clearly done by a forklift trick or lorry, equipment we dont own. and all this company does is close the ticket out as resolved without actually doing anything. no follow up phone call nothing.. just the standard (did you relay the damage to the driver) its like its from a scripted.. I guess the clue is in the name but if you want good quality products then please use any alternative supplier.

Terrible service

Ordered 2 fence panels on 16th April. Payment processed ok with confirmation emails. Expected delivery within 10 days but did not arrive. Emailed several times questioning where they were, received emails back with no resolution. Finally on 7th May I am told I was sent an email on 23rd April informing me I could only buy these panels with 3 as a minimum order. Never received an email to that effect. Ended up requesting a refund as they would not budge with honouring the original order. If items can only be purchased with a minimum quantity then it should not let you order less than that on your website. Shocking service. Out of pocket for nearly a month with no delivery to show for it.

In that message, we asked whether you would prefer to add another panel to meet the minimum or receive a full refund. It’s possible this email may have landed in your spam or junk folder, and we’re sorry if it didn’t reach you as intended.

Fake delivery times

I ordered roofing materials from this company on 29th April, based on their promise of 3–5 day delivery. What I got instead was a complete farce. On 2nd May, I received a casual email saying the main items (timbers) were not in stock, and the insulations might ship after 12th May. No apology. No solution. Just an unacceptable delay without warning.

These people only think of you as money, they do not understand that your roof is wide open and your family is under the rain. Just fake delivery times to attract more customers.

This is hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If you're looking for a reliable supplier, look elsewhere.

Save yourself the stress and avoid this business altogether.

We’d like to clarify that the delivery times displayed on our website are estimated and can vary depending on the product type and delivery location. In this case, your order was for delivery to Scotland, and unfortunately, we were unable to meet the standard estimated timeframe due to regional stock availability, particularly with timber, which can be limited in certain areas on occasion.

As soon as we became aware of the delay, we contacted you to provide an update. When you informed us that the wait was not acceptable, we actioned a full refund promptly, without hesitation.

While we do our best to meet all delivery expectations, there are occasions, especially with certain materials, where regional availability impacts lead times. We apologise that we couldn’t fulfil your order on this occasion and appreciate your understanding.

Terrible customer service

We ordered a variety of insulation boards and two of the 30mm boards turned out to be 25mm. Although being checked when they arrived, the 5mm discrepancy wasn't picked up by eye, and was only found when the boards were to be installed two months later. Insulation4Less have been unhelpful – refusing to take responsibility for supplying the wrong boards, and refusing to replace or refund them. They have disputed the credit card chargeback saying we should have reported the issue in 24 hours of delivery. The delay has meant that our bathroom hasn't been completed on time for me coming home from hospital after a mastectomy.

Edited to add: Both the Credit Card company and Citizen's Advice have said that Insulation4Less have broken consumer law as they have failed to fulfil the order correctly and that a company's Terms & Conditions don't overrule consumer rights. Despite me telling them this, they are still unwilling to co-operate.

In line with our returns' policy, any issues with received goods, including discrepancies in specification, should ideally be reported within 24 hours of delivery and no later than 14 days. This allows us to properly investigate and, where applicable, take prompt corrective action.

As the order was delivered on 23 January 2025 and the issue was raised over two months later, we were no longer able to progress the matter under our policy.

We understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but we trust this clarifies our position and the reasoning behind it.

I’ve used this firm a couple of times…

I’ve used this firm a couple of times now and to be fare to them, they’ve been faultless. Excellent communications . Very prompt and professional delivery service. All the order was correct and in good shape. I would definitely recommend and for sure use in the future.

Ordering was easy

Ordering was easy, price including delivery was very good . Delivery was a day early so I was out but the driver very kindly put the sheets of insulation board in the garage as it was raining .
Proper job .
