It’s going to take 2 weeks to get my money back!!!

Insulation4less wanted an extra £380 to deliver my insulation. I declined so the order was cancelled. I now have to wait the next part of 2 weeks to get my money back!!!! 2 weeks!!!!

They now say it’s been sent…but it’s still not arrived….and my bank is pretty quick at processing payments 🤷…hopefully it will turn up soon so I can order my insulation with the new cheaper supplier.

Awful delivery experience

Used insulation 4 less many times. Always good prices, top notch products delivered on time! My last delivery was a great disappointment. Previous deliveries have come on a lorry with forklift off loading, superb. However my order this week was by another carrier, 20 sheets of 120mm insulation . Delivered by van. 20 sheets wouldn't go in one van but by the state of the sheets they had a bloody good try! Sheets had corners missing, silver foil scraped off, not impressed. Hence I had two vans turn up with my order the first van couldn't even close his back doors with out the aid of ratchet straps and the driver met me with the opening question.. " where do you want me to sling them mate "
Referring to my already damaged boards. Had I not already paid for them and was waiting to install them I would have rejected the delivery. But have made the boards usable with 2 rolls of silver foil tape. My next order will be a bloody of insulated plaster board! May have to order locally if the same cowboy delivery team is to be used.

Awful company

Awful company - ordered 14 rolls of Knauf loft insulation from Insulation4less - they had 14 rolls of soaking wet insulation from CCF in Norwich delivered later than they promised to me with their driver and CCF knowing they were soaking wet and unusable when they loaded them in the van
I rejected delivery and rang them and they couldn't have been more disinterested in resolving the problem or refunding my money
I will now chase refund and buy elsewhere but no compensation for al the aggro and waiting involved
Further to my review above they have now written on my PayPal claim that insulation roll arriving soaking wet is still as described
They are unbelievable

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. Delivery issues, while rare, can unfortunately occur and are often outside our direct control.

You contacted us at 12.20pm on the day of delivery to advise the goods were wet. We immediately requested details by email, which you sent, and we responded within a short timeframe with an apology and confirmation that we could arrange replacements for you. You declined this offer and instead requested a refund. Had we been given the chance, we could have delivered replacements to you the following day.

We would like to stress that we take such matters seriously and always aim to resolve them swiftly when given the opportunity.

Regarding your PayPal claim, at no point have we stated that wet insulation is acceptable. The response you received was a standardised message from PayPal that is automated in relation to disputes, and not a response from any member of the Insulation4less team. It is simply a request for further information on the issue with your order.

I can confirm that your refund is now being processed.

Overpriced!

Overpriced!

Prices were not very competitive. I found 25mm Recticel for less by a quick search on Google for my project, which required 41 sheets. For large orders, I would recommend checking other online suppliers for better deals.

Good website. Well organised after ordering

This company gives great service. Ordering was quick and entirely uneventful. Price was very keen,ie. a lot less than most of the other internet companies and much chaper than local depots, Wickes, Jewsons etc. Delivery was very fast, much quicker than the website predicted.

Super easy and delivered on time

Emmet made the insulation buying process super easy and entirely pain-free. He advised on an appropriate option, and the price represented great value for money. Thanks to a local delivery partner the insulation came exactly when they said it would. Would absolutely recommend!

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, my experience with Insulation4Less has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.

I ordered 3-meter plasterboards, but the delivery—sent directly from their depot—arrived with 50 sheets of the wrong size (2.4 meters). I immediately told the delivery driver they were incorrect, but he just shrugged and said, “This is what they gave me,” and left everything on the driveway—right before a thunderstorm. We had no choice but to rush and carry in over £1,000 worth of materials ourselves.

We contacted Insulation4Less immediately. They promised to “get back to us” but never did. We had to follow up repeatedly over the next few days, only to be told they were “looking into it.” Eventually, they offered an exchange date a week later, which didn’t work for us. We explained that we had no space to store the incorrect sheets and needed them either collected or refunded promptly so we could continue our project.

They went silent again.

Eventually, they issued a partial refund—without confirming anything with us. No call, no email to ask if we were happy with the resolution. Just money returned based on their pricing, not what we had actually paid or lost. For context, the 2.4m boards could’ve been bought from multiple other suppliers for at least 20% less than what Insulation4Less charged.

To sum up:

They delivered the wrong product.
They acknowledged the error but didn’t act promptly.
Their communication was poor and unprofessional.
They issued an arbitrary refund without consent.
I lost money on labor, time, and overpriced materials.
This mistake was entirely theirs, but I ended up paying for it in more ways than one. I will not be ordering from Insulation4Less again and strongly recommend others proceed with caution.

We fully accept that there were several areas where we fell short, particularly in our communication and how the resolution of your order was handled. The incorrect delivery, followed by delays and a lack of clarity in our communication, understandably caused a great deal of disruption, and we want to sincerely apologise.

We are also sorry for the way the delivery was handled by the courier. It is not acceptable for goods to be left without proper support or acknowledgment of the issue, especially under difficult weather conditions. We understand the added pressure this put on you and the impact it had on your project.

Our Customer Service Manager reached out to you directly by phone to acknowledge these failings and discuss the situation in full. Following that conversation, a further refund was arranged as a gesture of goodwill.

We are actively reviewing our internal processes and courier partnerships to ensure this does not happen again and that our service reflects the high standards our customers should expect.

While we regret that we did not meet expectations on this occasion, we are glad we had the opportunity to speak with you directly and work toward a resolution. Helpful Customer Service

I ordered 30 wallboards and 6 of them arrived damaged which I wasn’t too happy about. However, I rang Customer Service, they asked me to send pictures in and, in fairness, they had replacements out to me 2 days later. I understand damages happen so thanks to Aryan in returns for sorting it so quickly.

Ordered Celotex Insulated boards for my…

Ordered Celotex Insulated boards for my renovation on Tuesday. The wrong thickness was delivered on the Friday but I called them and they had it collected and the right one delivered by the Monday so can’t complain as these things can happen and was sorted quickly.
