Lousy delivery notification and poor customer service.

We were not notified about a Currys delivery to our home until 10,17 last night. We were already booked into a couple of appointments in Truro but found this message en route. It said delivery would be 1.15 -2.15 so we abandoned our second appointment and raced back home, arriving at 1.03, only to find that the delivery had already been made!! No note through door. I shan't use Currys again!

Deliveries consistently late and missed

My dog food company now uses DHL for it's deliveries of online orders

Historically, deliveries would be via DPD, which were always delivered within the notified time slot.

Now deliveries are via DHL and the service level is atrocious!

My last three deliveries have all been delivered outside of the 3 hour delivery window (DPD was 1 hour)

Today's delivery was notified as between 09:00 and 12:00

At the time of submitting this review,

NO delivery, and no tracking information available!

Use DHL at your peril!!

Literally THE WORST of a bad lot in the 1st place

Okay so it’s now still saying there’s driver is on its way to no.80 1.5 hours ago since I last reached out to you to say that had been stuck saying that since 10:31 this am & asking if there was a problem ? No response. Not even a fix on the tracker: dhl literally is the WORST and when your’e the worst of a pretty bad lot - that’s really bad

DHL could not find my address TWICE

I ordered one bike from Halfords and the delivery company was DHL they couldn't find my address it's in the middle of Fulham and I gave them my mobile number,they couldn't find my address I waited all day for the delivery,it was sent back to Halfords and I ordered another bike the same thing happened!!!!!!! I am having a nightmare with Halfords they won't return the refund on both bikes DHL are USELESS!!!! They don't have a sat nav in Thier vehicles and I gave the driver my mobile number ,all together I wasted 3 days .

Actually they deserve zero stars

Actually they deserve zero stars. Absolute sham of a company! But shame on those organisations who use them because they’re well aware of the shocking service! Why are they still operating with such a disgraceful record?? I’ll never buy anything from anywhere again that uses DHL and I will check before I buy.

If I could give zero rating I would! I was aware I would be getting parcel today and as I was busy in back garden I purposely left side gate open which is facing the main gate but ignoring that the delivery person has walked around other side and dumped 1 package containing 2 40l bags of compost and knocked a plant over in the process, I live alone registered disabled and there is no way I can move that to back garden had to get a neighbour to move it for me. Txt messages parcels cannot be left in safe place never mind at front door for everyone to see only reason I knew it was there that the helpful delivery person had also left front garden gate wide open!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!

Poor Service

An item was due to be scheduled for delivery today between 9am and 1pm. I have waited in all day and after calling and being on hold for 35 mins I was told that it was failed delivery as not home. I have CCTV that shows no one tried to deliver! waste of my time.

I am not surprised it is poorly rated. I wud give 0 stars as we never received our delivery. Fortunately we were not desperate for Dunelm chairs to be delivered by DHL and got a refund instead . Also we are busy and do not have time to track and chase poor delivery services- just get your refund I advise to shop somewhere that doesn’t use poor delivery service - I would check store’s delivery company next time before I order things.

Bunch of clowns…

DHL delivered a large rug from Dunelm on Friday 20/12.
They left it at a random address nowhere near my home. Despite my efforts, I got no help from DHL and my wife had to walk around our town trying to find our
parcel. These idiots wasted hours of our time, they cannot be bothered to even find the correct address,
they just dump things anywhere.

I was expecting a delivery today after…

I was expecting a delivery today after receiving a notification via DHL WhatsApp, and was pleased that it was arriving earlier than the scheduled date of Monday, the 14th. The delivery was supposed to take place between mid-morning and lunchtime, but it never arrived.
Then, at 15:51, I received another message stating that the courier had attempted to deliver the parcel but was unsuccessful. This is simply not true, as I was working from home, and there were no recordings on my doorbell.
When I contacted customer service, they informed me that there was a mismatch with the address, but the tracker clearly shows the correct address. The delivery has now been rescheduled for Monday, despite the fact that I mentioned the parcel contains food. What’s most frustrating is that the driver never attempted to contact me for clarification on the address and instead just marked the delivery as attempted without explanation. No apologies were offered—this is simply unacceptable.

DHL always delivers.

DHL isn't flawless, but compared to many other companies (such as Budbee or UPS), they are in a class of their own. Almost always fast and friendly service with a lot of convenient fallback options for missed deliveries.

Recommended

The delivery experience went really well. They give you online updates on your order, let you choose your delivery time, and the delivery drivers are really polite.
I had a terrible experience with UPS, but DHL is like top-notch. Highly recommended.

Parcel should have been delivered on the 23/11 still waiting for it to move from the London depo.emails to customer service just get the reply of I can’t tell you anything till it arrives in the Stafford depo. Worst company ever. Wish my seller had used yodel never had a problem with them

Seems like all main delivery companies…

Seems like all main delivery companies suck, except local posti, problem with others is that they come to your door realize it's locked, then come back next day repeat, no calls or anything, only posti has called and asked the code or are you at home (which I'm always), but impossible to avoid them when ordering from far. And my experience with DHL has been again bad, this time I ordered to local post office, so they won't keep coming here every day like brainless zombies and realize they cannot get in, I really needed this package for the weekend project, They got the package on Monday, promised delivery date was Thursday now Friday is over and no package, and still todays updates shows it's still in germany, same place it was yesterday, disappointing again.

EDIT: Had to give 1 point back, suprisingly they called and delivered to home, but from past experience this has not been the case, still took long time for them to get this packaged out from germany to finland, too long.

Parcel not left in safe place but taken back to DHL depot.

Parcel arrived when no one was at home - safe place details given to company when items ordered - Goods not left in safe place but taken to depot - no details written on delivery slip on how to receive parcel - phoned Number on delivery slip twice to be connected to automatic answering system and only information I could receive was that my parcel had not been delivered - In the past 20 years of receiving parcels this is possibly the most unprofessional set up in this category -
