Seat pads Miss sold soft and don’t fit properly expected to pay to replace myself
Purchased the 4 seater Camden and advised sales person in store I needed the firmest seat pad. Was advised to purchase the £100 upgraded foam which we did. On arrival the seat pad is far from firm and does not fit the cushion correctly with gaps. Checked DFS website which states that the standard foam would have been the firmest option and NOT the upgrade. Took it into store who compared it to the show model and my week old cushion is the same firmness as their 12 month display model sat on by 100,s. Manager offered to replace the foam at my own cost despite my complaint that I was sold the incorrect product in the first place. Each time I complete a customer contact form I get redirected back to the store. I just want to escalate this beyond the store as we are in gridlock with the store making their position clear that they expect me to replace foam at my own cost. Why can’t I just speak to someone centrally away from the store. I guess the furniture Ombudsman is my next option but very disappointing. I have been a DFS customer for 30 years but never again. Go to Next, my other sofas are amazing and their customer service exceptional.

If you wish to change the seat interior because it does not meet your needs, this would be considered a personal preference, not a manufacturing fault. As no fault is present, DFS is not responsible for the cost. The customer would need to pay for replacement interiors that better suit their needs.
After looking into the order I can see your concerns have been escalated internally to the regional manager and they will be in touch shortly.

Customer service sold us a sofa !
Went into DFS just to have a look and ended up having Joseph serve us. What a lovely happy guy and a joy to deal with.
We ended up buying a new sofa and we had a good laugh while doing it !
Very knowledgable regarding the sofa and how to maintain what we were purchasing !
