Attacked by a member of staff.

Well this is my experience of blackpool pleasure beach. After the experience of not being able to bring a small trolley in for my autistic daughter to have her essentials I went and purchased a back pac. Went in fine. My daughter wanted to purchase some items from the shop before it got busy. We has trouble navigating to the outside shop. At the entrance a lady jn a red top looked like she had big red hair and a piercing said when we try to get back in. The tickets will decline so we must enter on the right hand side and even pointed to where we had to go.that I must go to someone in a red top. We Left the shop and I saw a member of staff in a red top right hand side like I was told. As I was making a bee line for the lad d in a red top I vaguely saw a gentleman on my left hand side carrying a large sign over. Could not see what was on the sign as he was carrying it. Well all hell broke lose. This man was a very large man bald head I would say a good foot taller then me started screaming and I mean screaming pure anger at Me. I couldn't understand really what he was saying he was just shouting. I remembered saying it OK I need to see this guy in red. The guy in red explained I had to go in the other way. All the while I was being absolutely verbally attacked by this man. My son said which I didn't see he picked up the sign looked like he was going to throw it in my face. The anger and the aggression this man was shouting at me all because I went in the wrong entrance and I couldn't of gone anywhere because of the barriers. I asked him to stop shouting at me to which he did. I then went in I saw the lady who told me to go that way and said I just been screamed at she said must of been some confusion bent down looked at me said with the most sarcstic voice twice with a smirk have a nice day. All of a sudden the large man appeared and started screaming at me how I was stupid I should of seen the sign. I asked for his name he refused to give me his name he was pointing at me with pure anger then bizarrely started asking me for my name and was going to put in a complaint about me.he refused point blank to give me his name and contunined to point at me so angry he was spitting. Lovely lady catlyn appeared she had her back to him I asked if she could give me his name she said she did not know it and because they work and different departments she could not ask. All the while he and his 2 colleagues that obviously idolised him was laughing and joking at me. Other staff looked completely disgusted by his behaviour. I said to catlyn u do realise he laughing and joking at me. She said rest assured she will be notifying her manager about this. Out the blue he was going from pointing to screaming at me to which I did not respond to then laughing and joking at me. The girl with red hair was trying to get hi attention to roll her eyes . If the barriers was not there I believe he would of physically gone for me. He obviously wa a powerful man that had influence over some staff to feel safe he could attack a lone female and get away with it. I felt it was best to leave as he was not stopping. I then seeked comfort in the shop to which the staff was lovely. The ttallboy was really concerned as at this point I was in tears and shaken up by what just happened. He phoned a manager Michelle who was brilliant and got in touch with Courtney. She did her best for me and assured me it will be dealt with and was going to view the cctv. She also gave us some speedy pass to say sorry. But I don't think anything could of helped. It had really affected me I just tried to hold it together for the kids. I wanted to go home and i spent the whole time feeling very unsafe and looking over my shoulder as I was convinced he was going to find me. At one point had to go back to the car and he was sat on the floor he spotted me and laughed a big bellowing laugh just to make his presence known. When leaving he was at the exit I was so scared i had to ask a member of staff to walk with me incase he attacked me again. No woman or man should be made to feel tgis way. he obviously a bully and a thug. who has no care to attack a lone female . In a public main sector. this will happen to someone else. I spent the rest of the evening in tears. i hope his next victim is brave enough to also speak up

I really enjoyed my time here!

I really enjoyed my time here!

I went with a few friends and had a great experience the rides are scary. The staff always make sure you are buckled in safely and were friendly. There are many places to eat and the prices are not bad for a theme park!

Overall I highly recommend if you are looking for a good theme park in the UK.

Warning

Warning: Only use cash on the outside vendors. My wife bought an ice cream for my daughter, and the vendor stated her card never went through, so she tapped again, and he said second time was good. My wife asked for proof of the first transaction being declined, to which he smiled and stated he had ran out of paper. I straight up told him that he had stole from us,he just smiled and said enjoy your ice cream. When we checked our transaction the following day, he had indeed stolen from us. Another conman from overseas! Also, I felt like i was in a third world country, not sure if blackpool hotels are housing these illegals coming over on boats, but my wife and daughter felt intimated by dozens and dozens of young foreigners everywhere staring at them, and shouting things at them in their language. We left after one hour and will never return.

Really disappointed!

I booked a trip last minute, which normally is not a problem, but on this occasion I was unable to get a disabled easy pass due to not having an access card. I applied for one as soon as possible but these take over a week. I presented all paperwork, like I did on my previous visits, as proof of entitlement but was refused and told to pay for a pass instead. These cost £25 per person. This completely ruined my day as I was unable to access a lot of the rides.

In Nickelodeon land the staff on the Blue flyer rollercoaster were so rude causing my autistic son to not want to go on the ride again!! Thankfully, the gentleman that was there last year, Mark James I think his name was, was running another ride called the Krusty Krab. Just like last year he was fantastic! Always had a smile on his face, fantastic with the kids, a real pleasure to meet. This man deserves a pay rise for his fantastic work and should be put in charge of training some of your staff on customer services!! He is the only reason I am giving 3 stars otherwise it would on a 1!

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF OF A PLACE.

Arrived at the unpleasure beach car park and paid my £18 parking charge to a man who i think was embarassed taking my money and so had to explain that i was covered till midnight. Even although your unpleasure beach pass only lasts 3 hours so thats the first CON. After being directed through the new merchandise shop and out the other side we headed down to the main entrance as there was no directions to the ticket office and common sense dictates thats where i buy my ticket. I was then sent back through the way i had came to stand in a queue, get fed up waiting as it hadnt moved in half an hour and so purchased our tickets on line. When the online tickets didnt work, although my money was taken i then had to go back and join the queue that i had already spent half an hour in to have that sorted out. After asking the person on the desk if the tickets i had bought for my three foster kids was enough to get in and being told yes i was then informed by a stranger that i needed to buy two more tickets for me and my partner to babysit the kids. What a total rip off. When we eventually made it into the park, (over an hour later) we were informed that the larger rides were closed due to some wind and rain. All in all i spent nearly £250 for the kids to have a go on half a dozen rides and then get fed up as they were freezing cold due to having no cover standing in queues. The place is an absolute joke and it is the most money i have ever spent to just be totally miserable, and so were the kids. I will never be near this place again and will be advising everyone i know to do the same. Having to spend £100 to babysit your own kids is rediculous. As if you dont make enough money from us. the money you charge for the kids, you should be supplying a baby sitter never mind charging us to do so. Stay away from this complete DUMP.

0 star.. Went with my family including my 3 year old child who has disability’s witch they can not walk got told at desk they will be able to go on a few rides then to be told no because they can’t walk even the rides I was going on with them over hight restrictions! Went to desk and got told that even tho they will be sitting down on the ride with my self or dad if a child can’t walk to the ride they can’t go on! I think it’s absolutely disgusting to be treated and outed like that my child was heartbroken they got told they couldn’t use the rides it’s 2023 you would think that a big theme park would be more accessible for children with disabilities will NEVER go back again! My child went on the pier rides with me with out a problem!

Sadly, Blackpool Pleasure Beach gave little pleasure

I just wanted to accompany the family to see them enjoy the rides. I was expected to pay £44 to do that, the same price as if I was going on rides. There used to be a non-rider charge of about £6 but now they don’t exist. Everyone has to pay the same. The family has already paid nearly £500 for the day 10am to 6pm and I decided that I could not afford anymore and could not justify giving the Pleasure Beach company any more money for nothing. Apparently the a Big One was closed as were other rides. The Pleasure Beach no longer lives up to its name and Blackpool in general was dirty and very disappointing. Will just have to rely on past happy memories now as I definitely won’t be coming back again.

Love this Park!

I have been a Season Pass holder since 2021 - and soon to be again in 2023 for my third year. The place may be a little rough around the edges, and the non-delivery of Valhalla did disappoint - but BPB along with other Parks are my happy place. This place holds a special place in my soul and well deserves my 5 stars for Icon alone! Keep it up Amanda!

The decision to go "CASHLESS" 👎

Their decision to go "CASHLESS" has left me and others within my circle to permanently boycott their establishment both themepark and Big Blue Hotel. Absolutely disgusted by this decision but thankful many others HAVE NOT gone down this bizzare & senseless path. Absolutely ridiculous. Bye.
