Amazing experience!
Amazing experience!! My first time buying a bike and they helped me figure out the best one. Very helpful and easy through the entire experience. Also worked well with my cycle to work scheme. The staff there is amazing!

Great Service
great service from both the Kingston Shop and Gatwick Home delivery warehouse. Bought the Specialized Creo 2 Carbon great bike. Only reason didn't get 5 stars is because I had to phone for my refundable deposit which was caused by a glitch in their system.

Overcharge
I got charged for two different cassettes so they took £43 too much.
The service was good quality and gears working much better now but it took over a week (waiting for a part) and then charging double.

Extremely disappointed
I give 5 stars to the excellent service given in store by the team at the Waterloo store but they were massively let down by the warehouse/delivery team.
I ordered two bikes and was told by the store that both bikes would come fully built as I asked for personal bike delivery.
First bike was delivered fully built……
However the second bike did not come fully built & when I called the customer service team to find out why and how I could to get this rectified I was simply told “you can do it yourself” the reason behind this was because it wasn’t delivered directly by Balfe so has to be delivered with the handlebars turned so it could be delivered. I explained that I had asked for the both bikes to be personally delivered especially the second bike costing £1500 and not being mechanically minded I wanted to make sure that it was expertly put together so I don’t make a mistake and potentially causing further issues in the future, again I was told “you can do it yourself” and was told “we don’t always deliver bikes” so why provide a personal delivery if at times you don’t?
I am throughly disappointed and the Waterloo store should be annoyed too because all their hard work as been out done but the warehouse/delivery team

We understand why this was particularly disappointing when you had specifically requested personal delivery and wanted the bike to arrive fully built and ready to ride. Being told to assemble it yourself when you had made those requirements clear was understandably frustrating, particularly when you did not feel confident doing the work yourself.
We’re reviewing the communication between our stores, warehouse and delivery teams to make sure the delivery service selected by a customer is clearly understood and consistently fulfilled. Where there are limitations to how a particular delivery can be completed, these should be made clear rather than leaving the customer to find out after delivery.
We’re sorry that the excellent experience you had in Waterloo was not carried through to the delivery of your second bike. We appreciate you highlighting this and will use your feedback to help improve the consistency of the service we provide.

I did a lot of research into which retailer to use before committing to making a purchase, Balfe's always stood out.
Not only do the provide an excellent, personalised service but their knowledge is absolutely insane!
Oli was my go-to man and he could not have been more helpful.
I was using Halfords Cycle to Work to make my purchase and unfortunately there were delays on receiving my voucher. No problem at all for Balfe's.
They were patient, supportive and did everything possible to ensure the items I had chosen would be available to me.
I am now the very happy owner of a brand new Scott Genius 920.
Oh and unlike other retailers, they do not add an extortionate surcharge for using Halfords!

Great bike and great service
The company delivered the bike personally and set it up leaving me with confidence that all was perfect and the paperwork was supplied along with great advice. It has been a pleasure buying bike from them at a great price.

Competitive pricing and excellent service
Have used Balfe's regularly for both maintenance and updates to my bikes. On this occasion needed a spoke replaced and asked about updating the twist grip shifters to trigger style and replacing bar grips etc. Price quoted was very competitive and work undertake to a high standard. My thanks to the team at Gatwick and will happily use their services again when the time comes.
