The Radiator That Never Arrived
Ordered an oil radiator from Appliance Direct. Simple enough, right? Apparently not.
The first delivery arrived looking like it had been used as a crash-test dummy. Box bent, battered and generally looking like it had been through a small war. I rejected it and contacted Customer Services, who confirmed the rejection and arranged a replacement.
Replacement due on the 7th. Nothing.
Called Customer Services. “It’ll be there on the 10th.”
10th came and went. Still no radiator.
Called again, complained, and arranged another delivery for the 17th.
Guess what? Nothing. At this point I’m beginning to think the radiator has gone on holiday without me.
Called Customer Services again and spent 30 minutes waiting while the lady apparently studied the notes with the intensity of someone deciphering the Rosetta Stone. Eventually, I was told the replacement had actually been cancelled by Appliance Direct because there were “no missing parts”. Then, like magic, it's been found and its due tomorrow.
Quite impressive, considering I rejected the original because it was damaged and I still haven't received the replacement!
So, after several calls, three promised delivery dates and enough waiting around to qualify for a new hobby, I’ve now asked for a refund or the item tomorrow.
Whether that actually arrives remains to be seen. At this point, I’m expecting the refund or it to be delivered sometime in 2029 by carrier pigeon.
Avoid. Unless you enjoy chasing appliances that don't exist and spending your afternoon on the phone.
** update it arrived, whoop.. but once again, looks like it's been dragged on the back of a chariot, lost the will so I'm keeping it. Hope ot works now 😬

I was initially pleased with the ease of ordering my fridge/freezer and the delivery by a third party, who delivered on time and with care. So why the low score you may ask, well, try the ripoff sales method that ensued after I received an email stating I’d successfully set up a direct debit for extended warranty which I didn’t agree to or authorise!! I then had to try on 3 separate occasions to get this resolved and cancelled, and that had to be by phone!!
If you want to be ripped off by modern day cowboys who make it extremely hard to cancel something you haven’t requested or authorised on top of a standard purchase, then order from Appliances Direct, or if you want good service from a genuine company that values their customers, shop elsewhere!!
Extremely dissatisfied and wouldn’t use them again!!

Fab quality
We did pay extra for the delivery, but it still arrived with in 12 hours of us checking out, very impressed. The units are of a very high quality. The bbq was used within 24 hours of delivery and it was brilliant. We haven't yet used the pizza oven, as it was all only delivered 3 days ago, but looks lovely. Think I am going to drive people mad, with asking them to take their fingers off the stainless steel, want it to look pristine. Overall, a fab experience. Will definitely recommend!

Barbecue purchase
Ordered and given a delivery date, took time off work to wait for it only to be told it would be the following Monday. On the Monday got told it was dispatched but no tracking number was given so had no idea when it would likely arrive. As of 13.30hrs I'm still waiting for notification and no reference number from Appliances direct works on the 'Palletforce ' website!!

All round good service
One of the few places where A/C units are available! Delivery was much easier with DPD compared to the independent courier that delivered before.

I placed an order for two range cookers…
I placed an order for two range cookers shown as limited stock but and a discount price. I bought and paid for them and they confirmed delivery for a few days time. On delivery day they said the delivery would be in 9 weeks. I called and they finally agreed to refund my money. How many trading laws did this company break in taking money for goods they did not have in stock offering attractive pricing to entice orders that they couldn’t fulfil and then expecting the customer to wait while they benefit from the money.
Trading standards should be looking into this company.
