Very easy to get quote for travel insurance and claim dealt with very quickly

I claimed my medical expenses and approved in just one day.

I found the person zI spoke to on phone very helpful and process easy to follow.

Was very easy to get the cover sorted especially as we are in our seventies. As it was a short trip to Australia we did not need to use it thankfully but was great to know we were covered. The follow ups and info were great too.

Easy to fill out online forms. Had everything I needed covered. Have used Southern Cross travel insurance for the majority of our travels overseas. The only problem is, which isn’t a problem, is not having made a claim yet Lol!

This was the easiest and best value company after exhaustive research . I have used them before so it was a no brainer really . It all comes down to the details. The other companies are a rip off in comparison . 5 stars all day

Easy and quick to deal with. My 7yr old son got sick and had to go to hospital while we overseas. Thank goodness for travel insurance, communication was awesome, we felt supported and the hospital bill was sorted asap. Follow up contact was greatly appreciated, awesome service.

We had a medical event that required urgent hospitalisation. Southern Cross call center were awesome, polite and tried to be helpful. They were let down by the support team.

If you make a claim, make sure you call them constantly to get action. Examples include, the did not reach out to the GP and hospitals to get medical information - after 12 hours I called, and then the emails were sent to both parties, delaying medical treatment and approval of the claim. We sent several emails to advise that change of flights had to be done by 2pm, I call 1 hour past this and flights had not been actioned. We were at the airline counter and the airline could not let us board as no medical clearance had been provided. Southern Cross medical, had to approve the flights and travel but did not inform the airline, and were not available at our flight time. The local hospital did spoke directly with the airline. The claim was an administrative nightmare with very poor systems to get information. We also did not get responses to our emails, follow up phone calls were always required.

If you make a claim or need urgent medical assistance, call them every step of the way.
