I don’t think I got the nectar card…

I don’t think I got the nectar card holder rate when ordering online as I was asked if I had one but not asked for my nectar number. I was also asked when collecting my euros if I would like to purchase a paper wallet to put them in…. I declined.

Hi,

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. If you select that you're a Nectar member when ordering online, you're asked to enter your Nectar card number immediately afterwards to receive the Nectar Prices exchange rate.

The paper wallet offered at collection is an optional purchase. The 25p wallet charge is a nationwide scheme to reduce our paper usage, the 25p covers the cost of the wallet and 40% of it goes to Just One Tree which is a registered Community Interest Company (Reg. 12067406).

We appreciate your feedback and will make sure we communicate this more clearly to customers.

Had Sainsbury's Travel card for over a…

Had Sainsbury's Travel card for over a year and used it for 3 holidays. We had used another Supermarket Travel card previously and had a nightmare when using it abroad, so we tried Sainsbury's. Never had any issues using it. The app is easy to use. However, their fees are ridiculously high e.g. converting currency back to sterling. They advertise better rates when there's a Nectar card linked but then kill you with their fees. Customer service is very good otherwise.
