ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Had my front windshield replaced. We had a horrible rain storm 30 days later and my car leaked water all over my dashboard and radio. Destroyed My Car cars interior. N... See more

I’ve been very disappointed with Safelite. They replaced my windshield and recalibrated the cameras during the first service. Since then, my backup camera has not seemed right, and I’ve had concerns with the lane-change system. No one explained what to expect afterward, and noticing problems while driving was unsettling.
Safelite is extremely difficult to reach by phone. When I finally got through to arrange warranty service, they gave me a five-hour arrival window, so I took at least half a day off work. Then, on the day of the appointment, they called to tell me they couldn’t fix it.
I’m left with unresolved issues and time away from work for an appointment that didn’t happen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Safelite.

Excellent service from start to finish. Received an appointment in a timely fashion. Desk staff were cordial and professional . Scott the technician did an excellent job replacing the windshield on my VW Jetta. I went to the Safelite in Chelmsford MA

First repair was for a chip. Two days later the chip became a crack across my windshield.
Windshield replaced, could not recalibrate due to not using oem windshield, after sitting in the waiting area for nearly five hours.
Third attempt used an oem windshield, still couldn’t recalibrate due, so they charged me my deductible and told me to take it back to the dealer, which won’t be free.
Don’t use safelite for your repairs if your windshield will require recalibration.
Update:
The inability to calibrate is an Infinity issue, not safelite. Safelite was very helpful instructing me on how to work with my insurance company for reimbursement, and Infinity is even unable to calibrate at this time.
Ad long as you don’t have an Infinity Safelite should be trusted.

Scammers! Do not use them. Paid them to seal a tiny chip on my windshield. Within the hour I had a huge crack! Now they want me to pay more money for them to fix it. Do not use them!

A perfect job by Safelite in Brunswick, Georgia.
Dropped my car off this morning to have the windshield replaced and it was replaced in a little under 2 hours! Ronnie had me checked in quickly and my car was in the shop before I sat down.
Great job, in and out in2 hours!
Looks better than new….
Thanks

I hope these facist piles of trash go bankrupt from this. Firing half of your part sourcing section of your company is utterly screwed up. Replacing them with AI YOU FORCED THEM TO TRAIN IS WORSE. I hope everyone who.had a hand in that decision never needs a human to help them with anything. In fact I hope they all become homeless because of what they are doing.
Go Bankrupt Safelite.
These inhuman pieces of garbage made their workers train the AI models that they laid them off for. In droves.
You don’t need the help of bastards who don’t even care enough about their own people, because they sure as hell don’t care about you either.
Any company that wants to cheap out on AI cheapens their own product. They’ve lost any credibility.
Go somewhere that respects human beings and will give a damn about you, and their own employees
8/14 I took my car to the queens location for a 12:30appointment for a 2 1/2 to 3 hour job.
Walking to a restaurant the shop calls me to say I have to walk back to put the top down claiming technicians don’t know how.
4pm I asked about the eta and the rude receptionist said they haven’t started on my car yet and would be another 2 1/2 hours.
Finally got my car after much frustration only to be compounded by the molding flying off the car 3 days later.
The shop tried to glue the molding to broken clamps instead of ordering new ones.
After sending photos ( see attached ) They claimed they ordered the parts. After 2 weeks with multiple calls to the shop who claimed corporate orders the parts and corporate claiming the shop does I emailed you directly. It was my position that any Mazda dealer can get the part within 1 to 2 days. The shop then wanted me to do their work and give them the name and phone number of the Mazda dealer which I did.
More incompetence followed by meeting the technician to no fault of his had the wrong part and couldn’t to the installation. This was followed by a second exercise of ordering the correct part but in the wrong color.
On September 14 my car was finally repaired one month later.
I drove the car exposed for over 30 days unable to wash the car where no normal car wash can remove the embedded debris. The least Safelite or Geico can do is cover a local professional detailing of the car . Hopefully this disaster will be reviewed by all parties and put in proper oversight so no customer has to go through the ordeal I did for a simple windshield replacement.
was promised USA GLASS would be installed by 5 pm called 2 LATE TO INSTALL BY 5. NO 45 MINUTE advance call. Show up with china made glass. dont trust these people no one taking responsibility- no one cares - i trust none of these people now- cheaper yes but not trust worthy--Colorado Springs shop manager hung up on me--i did not sware--seems rip off -- funny they thanked me for my input but not even an appology for anything

Safelite repairman arrived late into the "window" of service appointment. He spent 1 3/4 hr replacing the damaged windshield ( something struck my car's windshield with much velocity on the highway ). Prior to his replacing the windshield the wiper spray had worked fine, but since the windshield replacement it no longer works. Being able to clean the windshield on the road using the spritzer is an important safety measure when driving in many road conditions. You'd think that making sure everything worked properly would be a basic aspect of the work order. This man's carelessness, if that's what it was, makes Safelite less than an optimal choice. And I have to find a way to get my wiper spray to work. Perhaps the Safelite "warranty" will help. I'll see. But it's an inconvenience.

Horrible experience. Guy came out repaired windshield and told me that it was structurally sound but the crack still was visible and then if I wanted a new windshield, I would be credited the $136 towards the new one. I said OK thank you not knowing how much a new one cost after finding out that a new one is $724. I think that I will live with the crack three hours later I go out to my car and the crack has spread significantly after 45 minutes on the phone with two customer service representative. The best solution is that after paying them $136 to come make the problem worse I owe them an additional $600 to replace the full windshield and I am already discounting the $136 in this equation, horrible customer service horrible repair

I got a ding in my windshield headed to the big city & thought what the heck, maybe safelit can repair before it grows. No walk-ins which is reasonable so tech looked at and said they could repair so made an appointment the next week. Showed up for appointment, repair tech looked at and read me some canned legal mumbo jumbo about risk of repair, appearance & possible future failure (wish I’d heard that when I made appointment) but went ahead and signed since I figured it was just cya stuff and I already drove an hour. 5 minutes later tech comes out from shop and shows me my 1” crack now an 18” crack. Did try to sale me a windshield, what a scam. Dude, if you think 50/50 the repair will run tell me that. What a scam to sale you a windshield. 2nd time to safelit, first & last. Maybe I’ll might even get me a robo apology

I had an appointment scheduled and they gave me a window of 12pm to 5pm. About 3pm, I checked the appointment and it was still showing they would be here by 5pm. At 5pm, I checked the appointment again and it just said I needed to reschedule. They didn’t bother with a phone call or anything. I took off work for this appointment and they don’t even have the courtesy to let me know they couldn’t make it. It was the only day I have over the next 5 and my windshield will likely run now and have to be replaced. Safelite has a monopoly on auto glass. Every insurance carrier uses them and it’s the same garbage every time.

I had my windshield replaced on August 28th 2026. The technician suggested that I get new windshield wiper blades, because if the old blade scratch the window Safelite would not repair it. So I did get the new windshield wiper blades I did a test run just one swipe across the window. On September 5th I use the blades for the first time cause of rain it was horrible I felt like the blades was going to scratch the window. There was a horrible noise every time the blades went across the window. I had the hardest time trying to get in touch with Safelite. I sent a email with no reply, I called and was directed back to the website. So I finally had to make another appointment using my warranty. Now September the 9th I am waiting for the tech to come to my house and it is 12:58. And they gave me a scheduled time in between 8:00 and 1:00 p.m. this has been a frustrating experience. I determined to just go out and buy new windshield wiper blades. But by the blade being too long it has knock the rubber on the outside of the windshield over and I need Safelite to repair it. Not at all happy with my service.

Safelite is the worst glass repair shop nationwide, ran by Crooks and the worst quality of work, manipukating clients by the lowest quality Technicians,,,, this trashy Safelite is an insult to any american business.,,, stay way from this Dumpster

Incorrectly placed new windshield by not reconnecting rain sensors. Discovered months later. They knew it was a rain sensing windshield since they ordered it that way, but the install was faulty. Not knowing rain-sensing cause ( non-windshield sensor, software, etc), I took to my dealership as car under warranty. They recognized the issue, fixed but charged me since not a flaw in the original vehicle. I went to SafeLite for compensation of any sort. They could not have been more rude and uninterested.

We had a bad experience with Safelite three years ago, but decided to give them another chance to see if things had improved. That mistake is completely on us for trusting them again. I really should have read recent online reviews first, because it turns out countess other customers have shared the exact same experience: Safelite botched the repair, made the damage significantly worse, and pushed a costly, full windshield replacement. It honestly feels like a deliberate money-making scheme to force an expensive upsell.
I hired them to fix a simple chip to stabilize the glass. Instead, the technician made the damage far worse.
When I called to dispute the botched repair, the customer service was just as awful. The manager on the phone was abrasive, unhelpful, and utterly unapologetic. Instead of taking accountability for their technician damaging my vehicle, they hid behind a canned policy script, claiming the only "resolution" was to credit the initial repair cost toward a brand-new windshield.
Safelite refuses to stand behind their workmanship, and their staff treats customers with utter disrespect. We gave them a second chance, and they failed completely. Save yourself the headache and take your business to an honest, reputable local glass shop instead.

Terrible experience! 3 day delay to book first appt between 12-5PM contacted me at 4 to say he’d be at my home around 5 and would take 2 hours. Had to reschedule. Next appt was a week later. Schedule 8-12. Got a call at 10 that the windshield for my car got damaged and they had to order a new one. He showed up at 4:30 for install. Gave him my keys and went inside. An hour later he knocked on my door and said, “you won’t be happy!” He was right. The “new” windshield had at least 12 cracks in to stretching in all directions. Was able to get insurance to cancel them and book with someone local and more reliable. No apologies given for terrible service!
