Terrible experience with this company. Booked appointment through website for OEM replacement glass, the insurance company confirmed they would pay for OEM glass. Got to the appointment and safelite said it would be aftermarket. Spent hours getting it right with insurance, called safelite 12 times to confirm they now had the glass and they NEVER answered the phone at the install location. Drove over to get confirmation, a day worth of back and forth finally confirmed they would have the glass. Arrived for “appointment” at specified time, which website would take 2-3 hours and was told this is an all day drop. Entire process at safelite is poorly managed and not customer friendly. Would never come back. It is windshield replacement and they can’t get that right.
If I could give a zero I would. two days now I have had a confirmed appt and no one shows up, no one calls, you cant get a hold of anyone on their phone line. this company really does suck!

Don't let them attempt to fix a windshield. Loyal customer here, had two windshields successfully replaced and calibrated, no problem! This week I needed a small, tiny less then a quarter in diameter crack to be repaired only for the technician to say whoops, we broke your windshield and now you need a new one. Customer service was very unhelpful. Regret asking for the repair, could have driven for a long time with my little crack! Beware!

Terrible experience so far. Broke window trim during install. Said would install next day but it has now been three weeks and counting. Follow-up appointment failed because no one ordered parts. No contact from Safelite. Have to keep reaching out.

First my phone holder wasn't put back on my windshield when Safelite replaced it. 2nd I was told they would vacuum up the glass inside the car and that was not done.I gave my keys to safelite and got them back 2.5 hours later and the tech made no mention that he killed the battery letting the blower motor run without starting the car. I assumed he had locked the car when he returned the keys to me and the next day when I went out to get in my car the horn did not honk or beep so I checked the door and sure enough my door was unlocked overnight and some homeless people got into my car and rifled through all of my stuff. I pulled the battery out of the car and charged it only to return the battery to the car and the headlights were turned on. So why safelite turned on the headlights and the blower motor without starting the car is beyond me! Silver lining: i have a lifetime warranty! But im very disapointed!

Booked and confirmed a 12-5 window for home rock chip repair. Waited 5 hours at home. Nobody showed. They called at 530 and was told they don’t have mobile rock chip appointments on Monday’s even though they booked the appointment sent me text confirmation with technician that would be coming.
Made an in person appointment for rock chip repair. They break the windshield during rock chip repair (which I understand can happen) but what incentive do they have to offer a quality repair when if they break it they have no liability and get to replace a windshield.
Their cash price to fix windshield is double what the small business down the street charges.
Will never use Safelite again.

On August 15, 2026, I had a windshield replaced on a 2015 Audi Q7. After speaking with the technician, who was courteous and professional, we decided that it would be best to move the car across the street to a vacated business parking lot to do the work. The car had no issue with any of its functions, nor did it have a check engine light on. The windshield replacement took about 1 ½ hours. The technician explained the work that was done and instructed me to wait at least 30 minutes before driving the vehicle. After four hours I decided to start the vehicle and move it back to my home. As I approached the intersection leaving the parking lot, I panicked when I realized that I had no assisted brakes. I almost rolled into the intersection but eventually managed to pull the car back into my driveway. During that time, my check engine light came on.
The following day I had the car towed to Midas. I described the sequence of events with the mechanic. I would have to pay a standard diagnostic fee of $189 + taxes, totaling $202.10. After roughly 30 minutes, I was told the good news that the problem was resolved. The vacuum hose leading to the brake assist was disconnected under the cowl of the newly installed windshield.
I contacted Safelite's line concerning issues with work. Chris from the Chicopee, MA store reached out to me. Chris was also courteous in dealing with me but firmly explained that there would be no reimbursement as "You can't prove that we did it." He also said that had I called the help line he would have sent someone out to troubleshoot. This is ironic because during the conversation, he said that it's not possible that my brakes would be affected by the installation so it was contradictory when he said that he would have sent a glass technician to troubleshoot my brakes. Glass technicians are not car mechanics. A system diagnostic HAD to be done first to isolate the issue. This letter isn't to question the skill of the installer; it is about integrity. Things happen in business, but remedying the issue is just as important as the quality of the work being performed. It is no coincidence that Midas found the issue with my brakes underneath the windshield cowl where the work was done. I would not inconvenience myself by calling a tow truck to a mechanic's shop so that I could be reimbursed for the same amount that I paid to have the work done. What's even more troublesome is that someone would rather preserve the image of infallibility than resolve the issue. This would not be an email to Safelite had the car been involved in an accident or worse resulted in the loss of someone's life due to something that should have been a standard procedure. This issue would then have been an issue of serious negligence. The diagnosis from Midas: On 8/17/26 the vehicle was brought to us with concerns regarding the Check Engine Light and the brake pedal being stiff. Our diagnostic revealed codes indicating vacuum leak and upon inspection we found the brake booster vacuum hose was disconnected. We reconnected the hose, cleared the codes, and both problems were resolved.

Nathan did a great job for me in my driveway at home replacing the old cracked windshield with a new one on my 2018 Chevy Colorado in Marion OH.
I thanked him for the work he did and he told me not to drive it away to wait at least an hour I believe he said
I did not watch the process play out so I do not know how much other stuff he did but he probably checked all the boxes on your questionnaire
Im satisfied with the work preformed and would recommend Safelite as the place to go for new glass on your automobile
Thank you Safelite,and
Thank you Nathan
Job well done.
Thanks again
Customer Charlie C.

In March 2026 I initiated the process of windshield replacement with Safelite through my insurance company. What followed was months of difficulty, made more challenging because of the dishonesty, gaslighting, and misdirection of Concord employee “Dario.” He failed to show up at appointments he made with me, and forged my consent. Safelite charged both me and my insurance company twice, the first charge well before work had been completed, yet they promised no charges would be made until completion. (They reversed the second charge to me, but that the correction needed to be made shows sloppy recordkeeping at the least.)
One big roadblock was that Safelite kept ordering the incorrect glass for my vehicle, no matter what evidence I provided (photos, user manuals, etc) and Dario insisted there was no way to change it in “their system.” He kept saying I had the wrong VIN. Meanwhile, other entities including the DMV recognize the VIN as matching my car. The mistake was clearly Safelite’s.
Once the proper glass arrived, Dario blamed “the system” on a difficulty with recalibrating the windshield and told me I would have to take the vehicle elsewhere, but he did not provide the release to my insurance company. Instead, Safelite charged my insurance company for the unsuccessful recalibration and reported the job completed, closing my claim. It took until July 2026 to finally have a working vehicle again.
In May 2026 I posted a review on Yelp and other social media channels highlighting the struggles with the not-yet-completed job. My review became the “featured” one on Yelp for this business. Shortly thereafter, Safelite approached me with a Release Agreement and proposal for a settlement payment to avoid litigation and in exchange for my lifetime silence.
I removed my online reviews and signed the Release Agreement. Safelite sent a check, but then they issued a STOP payment. They have refused to send a replacement check, claiming that the money was intended to pay a third party that had worked on my vehicle, despite the Release Agreement saying nothing about payment to a third-party or that such payment was earmarked for repairs to the car. As such, they breached contract, and I no longer have to be silent.
Ultimately, my vehicle was fixed. But the ordeal was long and I witnessed falsification of records and other concerns that made me doubt Safelite’s integrity.

Just bought a 2026 Ford Ranger 3 days ago. Driving to have breakfast and a rock got me right in my vision line. So bummed. Somehow got a appointment at 9:30 am and made it right at 9:30am.No appointment showed but Tanisha at the front desk along with Virgil ( what a great guy) got me taken care of. Amazing service. At the Southgate location on Eureka rd.

STAY AWAY!!! Literally the worst company I have ever had work done from. Broke additional piece on my car. Overcharged by $300. Never again 👎

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had with any company. I had an appointment at the Safelite AutoGlass shop in Minneola, FL, and when I arrived, I was told they had ordered the wrong part.
A second appointment was scheduled for a technician to come to my home, with an arrival window between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. No one showed up, and no one called to let me know what was happening. I tried calling the shop several times, but no one answered the phone. I was finally able to get in contact with Safelite through my insurance company.
A third appointment was scheduled. The technician arrived on time, but once again, he had the wrong parts. Another appointment had to be scheduled for a week later. That technician also arrived on time, but this time he was missing a part needed to complete the job.
Yet another appointment had to be scheduled, and the service was finally completed.
What should have been a straightforward repair turned into multiple appointments, repeated issues with incorrect or missing parts, a complete no-show without a phone call, and difficulty reaching anyone for assistance. The amount of time and inconvenience this caused was completely unacceptable.
After so many mistakes throughout the process, I’m now left wondering about the quality of the work that was ultimately performed. Based on my experience, I would have a very difficult time recommending Safelite AutoGlass.

I was referred to this service from USAA, making an online appointment was easy and they are responsive in getting to the appointment. I decided to wait to make the payment, as I wanted to ensure the person showed up to do the work. As I reviewed the invoice- they threw an extra fee on the invoice- something that looked glass cleaning fee- $39.99 to be exact- it took some effort, but I was able to get the fee removed.
The installation was quick- but, the technician did not reapply my inspection stickers to my vehicle, instead he told me that I need to get new stickers installed- somewhere else. I can't blame the tech for this, however, I do blame the company for not disclosing this. Had I known this ahead of making this appointment- I would have gone somewhere else, and gone to a shop that could have handled transferring the window stickers. Now, I need to schedule a service to drop off my vehicle somewhere to get reinspection.

My original appointment was Monday 8/17/2026, I had a 9-12 window. I wait until 1 pm and call customer service they tell me in the notes waiting on parts, it’s a windshield so it clearly wasn’t there and I made the appointment 7 days in advance. I get told I’ll be the first appointment on 8/17/2026. I take another day off work, call and they tell me 1030-11 the tech will be here. I will never utilize safelite in the future. They can’t even call to reschedule when they know they don’t have the windshield. Terrible service and I’m sure I’ll get stuck with some worthless tech.

Was scheduled for Monday between 8 and 1, no one showed up and no one called. Rescheduled for Tuesday and the technician did show and did a good job. Then they gave me a promo code for $25 off, but when I paid it wouldn't accept the code. Worst customer service I have had to deal with. Almost impossible to talk to a person.

Avoid Safelite in San Mateo (S. Claremont St).
* Drop-off: very early in line with a morning appointment; told it would be completed by the afternoon.
* Communication: Zero updates, and impossible to reach a human by phone.
* Outcome: Showed up at 4:45 PM, as the store closes at 5:00 PM, to find they had barely started.
* Service: The manager made excuses and rudely suggested I could just take my unfinished car.
Finally received my car at 6:30 PM.
Zero communication, terrible management, and complete disrespect for customers' time.
Ask your insurance for a different shop!

I needed the windshield replaced on my 1970 Camaro. I scheduled an appointment to have them come out to my home. The morning of the appointment they called me and ask if I could come in to the shop because they had a guy that did all of their vintage vehicles but in the shop. Ok, great! I drive 45 min. To the shop the first time and they didn’t get a windshield either antenna wired into it. I rescheduled the next day at 3:00 so they could get the correct one in. They got one with faulty antenna wire in it and didn’t call me until 12:00. I did not receive the message and drove back to the shop. I scheduled again the next weekend on Saturday at 7:00 and the same faulty windshield they returned was sent back out to them and no one bothered to call me and tell me. Horrible customer service! Waste of time and money. Mount Vernon Washington location.
I had a windshield replacement set up with these losers, everything was confirmed. 2 days before my scheduled appointment, they call and say my insurance won't cover the OEM glass I ordered and that if I still wanted it, it would take another week to order. So, I agreed to accept their cheap Fuyao Chinese glass. When I get to the appointment, the guy calls me back into the shop and says he can't install my windshield because a locking strip/gasket is missing from the windshield package, and the parts lady is looking into ordering it, and they will call me when they have secured one. About 3 days go by and I haven't heard Diddley, so I called them. They proceed to tell me it is obsolete, no longer manufactured, and they can't get it, and my best bet is contacting a salvage yard (even though I already have a used one on my car?). I told them that I would get it done elsewhere and I did. I called AAA Glass Service. They told me they pulled the schematic, and all the parts I needed came with the windshield, and they could come to my house the next day and replace it. Which, they did with USA made PGW glass in a little over one hour. I would avoid Safelite like the plague, they are totally inept and incompetent and have cheap, inferior products. The Chinese windshield they wanted to replace mine with was thinner than my OEM glass and obviously and clearly not of the same quality. I will never be contacting Safelite again for anything!
