I have used Road Bear RV in Orlando FL every year, for the same event since 2014. They are by far, the best RV rental option, in my experience. Their vehicles are newer, cleaner and better equipped t... See more

Pick up and drop off were fine. On road service because of flat tire was unresponsive and we had to figure out the problem ourselves. The RV was nice but in some places a bit run down. The price was higher compared to competitors and I would not agree that road bear is much better.

Great customer service. We enjoyed the camper, the slide out extra space, good overall price for the rental. However there were two issues with the camper during our 10 day trip. First was the clean water tank would not fill up to full capacity and was leaking water as we were driving. Second issue was the refrigerator was not working, the freezer was, but not the refrigerator. We had to put bags of ice in the refrigerator for the food not to spoil. My recommendation is to check all the functionality of all appliances and equipment before you rent out a camper to a customer.

The Pick Off went smoothly, and the RV was explained to us thoroughly and in great detail. Everything was clean and in excellent condition, with a high standard throughout. The accessories were excellent, and everything we needed was provided. Everything was of very good quality.
We had a wonderful time traveling in the RV and would definitely book with Road Bear again.

The staff's explanation was insufficient, so it wasn’t helpful.

It was a great RV and pickup and drop off were seamless. Really great experience and can't recommend highly enough

We returned it an hour late and they didn't charge us. And the new vehicle works properly.

The motorhome was in good condition. The equipment could be improved; we received a number of items only upon request, or in some cases not at all. You have to check it all these things.

Tl;dr - Denver site. Not worth the extra pricing over the cheaper RV rentals.
We called to get description of two different RV types and the information we got was inaccurate which negatively impacted out trip.
When we rented the RV, the CO alarm started beeping. Staff said it was all OK and was fixed by opening the window. We then had it randomly beep for days until we got it fixed.
Fridge also had issues that would make it start beeping randomly and wake us up. Couldn't be fixed.
Leak of black water meant we had disgusting sewage dripping all the time which is pretty horrible when people in nearby sites notice.
The right side mirror wouldn't stay straight and I had to fix it. Hot air from the engine kept coming into driver side and I fixed that as well.
I understand we rented during a busy season but we paid more to get a newer, better maintained RV and we did not get it. Unfortunate.

Stay away from this RV rental company. It's literally the worst RV rental company we ever rented from. We've rented from another company 3 times before and never had issues like with Road Bear / El Monte.
We rented it from the Seattle location. We had a really worn out tire that got flat. Their roadside assistance took hours to even give us a an ETA for when it will arrive. Then the spare tire started leaking air.
When we rented it we saw another family that had experienced critical safety issues with the steering of their RV and it destroyed multiple days of their vacation.
For your safety and precious time of your vacation - stay away from this company - rent from any other - for the life of your love ones and yours.

Customer service was great and I would say the overall experience was something we won’t forget but the pricing is not as accurate as listed on their website. Be prepared to pay out the butt for gas, total mileage at the end was about 50 cents per mile, RV parks…etc. We also bought a package that included internet but they do not express that it is not unlimited at all, you get about a days worth and then you have to pay for more throughout your trip through the device app. Just be prepared to pay about 2-3 times the amount that is initially listed when you’re checking out RVs. I also wish they had a way to return vehicles early and get refunded the amount not used (similar to how enterprise works).

We had a great experience with the RV. We were to have WiFi included and they were out and unable to provide us with that service. However did compensate us with propane credit.
