I went to Sunninghill Post office this morning .I was trying to return some goods by post . The friendly staff couldn’t have been more helpful . They took the delivery imagine from my phone, printed out on their printer and used their own tape to put this on the package , so we were able to send it . I was so pleased and most grateful for their impeccable service .

Post Office Assistant Costa Coffee Spillage

If I Could Give 0 Stars I most definitely would. Handed over a large parcel to be sent overseas, only for the post office assistant to spill a very large Costa Coffee across the top of the parcel.
Had purchased a tri-wall box specifically for the job, so thanks to the Post Office, it was ruined before it even left the Post Office counter !!.

Racist comment made to me by Alkington counter staff Post Office

I went to the post office today at the branch in Alkrington Post Office Manchester M24 1LW and could not believe a clear stereotypical racist comment made to me by the cashier . As i handed my parcel to her , she went through the standard question of , What the contents of the postal, which i replied. She asked how much it was worth . I replied. Then she ended with " As long as it is not fish, as we don't want it to be stinking on other parcels". As an african woman, i felt that comment was extremely racist and incredibly unprofessional. The fact she felt confident to express her own prejudices whilst providing , what she consider as good service is beyond me. I will not be going back there and would advice black or brown people not to either . Disgusting

A warning about sending parcels Tracked 24 instead of signed for.

This is an email I sent four days ago to which I have had NO reply!

Hello. I sent a parcel Tracked 24 on 11/02/2026 which was never received.
I then entered the Ref. No. in your Track Your Item website together with the recepient's postcode and was told it was delivered on 12/02/2026 and was shown a picture of the rear of a gray and white van and a set of three steps with our parcel NOWHERE IN THE PICTURE!
That is NOT proof of delivery!!
I would like this investigated as there is obviously something amiss and see the results of your investigation before I contact the Ombudsman and Which?

Post office skating on thin ice, is this legal

This is my second post, after filing a dispute with Capital One credit card. The post office are advertising that you can get upto 12 months interest on balance transfers or purchases. But when the agreement goes to Capital one, they are the ones who decide and in my case they decided on zero benefits. So instead of getting upto 12 months interest free on balance transfers, you get zero, but the credit card company, Capital One, stings you from day one. I’ve always paid off my cards in the past, never missed a payment and always paid extra to reduce the debt.
The post office appear to be skating on very thin ice, advertising a product which is opaque to say the least.

So in conclusion, I’ll sort out the problem, will never return to the Post Office or Capital One again. It’s a lesson learnt.
What’s annoying, since activating my card, I’ve now had 3 calls from what sounded like an Indian Call Centre, about my mobile SIM card being invalid. The call centre for Capital One is based in India, so you can draw your own conclusions. The post office didn’t mention I would be hassled on my mobile, in their advertising promotion, maybe I’ll receive these calls for upto 12 months, but I hope not. You have to laugh.

Recently opened a new bank account and was expecting the card and PIN in the post in 7-10 days. Two weeks later I received a huge amount of mail including 3 letters from the bank, my new card, letter with my PIN etc. these are all supposed to arrive separately for security. Our delivery service is appalling, piecemeal and erratic. I don’t blame the post men and women but the management is shocking

Biggleswade Post Office-Simply the best

This is the standard all Post Offices should level up to. Biggleswade Post Office renewed 4 passports for me in a space of a week. I was served my 3 different members of staff each time but what a joy to visit. The kind atmosphere, how helpful the team are-this is how all Post Offices should be. Huge asset to the community. Will be recommending to everyone to use this Post Office.

A staff member rude and don’ know what post office…

Staff don’t know know what post office services sre available
The internet site says one thing and the staff disagree!
After being told to use local branch finder to find a branch that would provide a service I needed it just doesn’t work!
How on earth do you make sense of trying to find a local branch that is one of 535 branches meant to provide a service of exchanging old notes for new polymer ones as described in the post office website? … staff in the post office are rude and just dismiss the ability of the post office to provide this service

Post Office

Post Office, Fawcett Street Sunderland, absolutely terrible service serving a big city, massive queue on a Saturday and only 2 staff on, went to post a parcel to Jersey, waited 20 mins in the queue, got to the window only to be told to go and fill in a label then had to go to back of the huge queue again, walked out, avoid this Post Office at all costs.

Good manners unknown

I recently had an issue using Amazon’s new “Amazon Counter” app for parcel drop-off.

Before going to Norcot Post Office in Tilehurst, I tried Royal Mail. The system didn’t work there either, but the staff were polite, explained what they were trying to do, and genuinely made an effort to help. They suggested I try the Post Office, since the app specifically listed Post Office locations.

At Norcot Post Office, the experience was the opposite. One parcel was scanned. I politely asked them to confirm it was the correct location and then asked them to check a second parcel to avoid any mistakes. The response was visibly irritated and dismissive. The tone was rude, the body language showed clear annoyance, and I was made to feel like I was being difficult for simply asking for confirmation.

There was no attempt to explain what they were doing, no reassurance, and no basic courtesy. When the system didn’t seem to work properly, I was told to “check with Amazon,” even though this is clearly a Post Office-listed Amazon Counter service. Passing the problem back to the customer is not acceptable.

Technology can fail — that’s understandable. What isn’t acceptable is poor attitude, lack of professionalism, and rudeness towards customers who are simply trying to return a parcel correctly.

If new systems are being introduced, staff should be trained not only on the technology but also on how to communicate respectfully. Customer service standards here were disappointing.

Had an expensive Nikon DSLR camera sent…

Had an expensive Nikon DSLR camera sent to me from Wokingham Post office - never arrived. No tracking after initial drop-off at post office. Even now 20/2/26 RM tracking states: Your item was posted at Parcelshop, Wokingham Post Office [RG40 1AN] on 21-11-2025. More information will be available as it travels through our network. Looks like Royal Mail never actually received it from that post office! Anyone using that post office - beware!

Written on behalf of an elderly friend - I was utterly disgusted with the treatment I received in Woolston Post Office. They were abusive, rude, and wholly unhelpful. I am an elderly gentleman with a small dog I always carry, and not only were the staff unfriendly and rude, but some of the other customers decided it was acceptable to bully the elderly and take their bad moods out on someone who was minding his own business. When I wanted to withdraw £50, I was give one note, and when I asked if they could break it, they said they're NOT SUPPOSED TO. What sort of rule is this? This Post Office used their position as a way of looking down on their local community, and belittling someone who didn't deserve it.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally complain about the service I received at the Post Office branch in Westfield while completing an ID verification.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the verification process could not proceed because the tablet being used had insufficient battery charge. The staff member assisting me acknowledged at the start that the device was low on power and shortly afterwards it switched off. I was then asked to wait while it restarted and “restored,” which caused a significant delay.
After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I politely asked whether the tablet had charged enough for us to continue. I was told that it would take at least another 30 minutes. At this point, the explanation I was given changed, and the staff member refused to acknowledge that the issue was due to the low battery, despite having said so earlier. I found this response dismissive and unhelpful.
As a direct result of this delay, I had to pay additional car park charges, which would not have been necessary if the equipment had been properly prepared and fully charged before serving customers.
I am particularly disappointed not only by the long waiting time but also by the way the situation was handled. The lack of clear communication and the refusal to be transparent about the problem caused unnecessary frustration.
I would appreciate it if you could:
Investigate this incident,
Ensure that all equipment is properly charged and ready for use before appointments,
Consider reimbursing the extra parking costs incurred due to the delay,
Provide appropriate customer service training to prevent similar experiences in the future.
I look forward to your response and to hearing what steps will be taken to address this matter.
Yours faithfully,
AA
