I just remembered that when I filed the 1040 option was not available and so the money has gone to my personal vs. business account. Maybe some of you had that same experience? I do remember now that the 1040 option was not available when I filed so I picked the 1041 and this is the reason for the MANY hours and days spent figuring this out. Thanks for that PayUSA! This could be the reason for your current troubles.

But even if not…call the IRS. And plan on long wait times. I started at 7:10 this morning and 1.5 hours later still holding. I DID get answers today though. PayUSA cannot help you with this problem. I was on hold with PayUSA for FOUR hours and nothing. No return emails and no representative. Guess who I am NOT using next year.

Do not use payusatax.com to pay your taxes. Do anything and everything else in your power to avoid using this payment provider authroized by the IRS. The absolute hell of the stress this company has put me through, not to mention the countless hours of being on hold with the IRS And payusatax.com to no avail is unbelievable. How do all of us file a class action lawsuit again payusatax.com and the IRS? This is fraudulent behavior from both the IRS and payusatax.com. You cannot threaten and harass people who have paid their tax debt in FULL and on TIME via the system the IRS asks you to use to pay it. This is absolutely ridiculous!! I want to know who has my $7,000 + in taxes I paid to the IRS via payusatax.com? What CEO or top federal official is currently on vacation with my hard earned money?!?! Ridiculous, right?!?! Well, so is this crap they're pulling on all of us taxing paying citizens!

I'm in the same situation as everyone here. i thought its only me who didn't get a refund and got a notice of non payment from IRS. I called them with no answer for hours and hours. is any one of you got a refund? or im not gonna have a refund wait till the payment is posted?

I had the same problems as everyone else. I did as one writer said and filed a complaint with BBB and got a response with the reference number of payment. Sent to IRS. Now the next big problem is getting some from one at the IRS to answer the phone to get them the track the darn number. Its ridiculous you have to wait on the phone for hours to get anyone to listen to you. They have no problems sending you a letter demanding payment for something you already paid.

It is alarming to think the IRA approved this company PayUSATax as a trusted third-party provider to pay taxes due to the IRS. Taxes were paid and proof of payment was completed, however a letter from the IRS indicates no payment received. Contacting PayUSATax is useless. The IRS needs to get involved and help the taxpayer. This company has many complaints and should be shut down.

Paid tax bill in April, received penalty notice from IRS in June. Called IRS and gave them confirmation information and they claim I have to call payusatax.com. Called multiple days in a row and waited on hold over 2 hours each time. Sent an email requesting information on payment and no response.

same as everyone elses I pay my taxes every year and this is the 1st for me I pd. in March but IRS has no record. Ive tried for 3 days to get ahold of pay usa on hold 3 hrs. 2:45 yester and today so far 3 hrs

Stumbling upon all of these reviews filled me with anxiety and questions but please read below before you stress any further & before you decide to pay again.

Please reach out to the IRS via telephone. Take the number directly from their website. You will find it under the “Help” section. Scroll down to Phone numbers & tax options.

There’s currently a large delay going on due to all of the payments that went in at once. It is likely that your payment is still stuck in processing and therefore you received a letter. The representative will explain this to you and be able to help locate the payment. Although, you may be on hold for some time before you can speak to them. Be prepared to provide details of when the payment was made, amount, when the bank approved it, etc. Also, log into your PayUsaTax account and check the status of the payment (approved by IRS or rejected). If no luck calling, you can also see if there are any nearby IRS agencies in your area on their website as well and book an in-person appointment. I’m sorry that this has impacted so many of us but hopefully this can help someone!

There is a lot of us out there who used Payusatax thinking we were using a creditable company since the IRS is backing them on their website. Only to get stabbed in the back with a letter saying our taxes were not paid, but our credit cards were charged. I would like to see a lawsuit against them.

Looks like many people are not alone with this. We paid our taxes in full by the due date and we received a notice from the IRS in June saying that they have not received payment. Interesting that the IRS has chosen this company as a way to collect payment, when in actuality it seems like it is a scam site. DO NOT USE PAYUSATAX. They will create nothing but problems for you. Now I have to spend time trying to rectify this. Uncle Sam and PayUSATax are the real enemies!

Multiple fraudulent transactions hit my checking account IMMEDIATELY after using this "IRS approved" payment service payUSAtax. After reading all of the horror story reviews on numerous sites I have no doubt they will also never send the almost $700 to the IRS either and it'll be yet another call(s) to my bank to dispute that fraudulent transaction as well. What a nightmare. I believe the IRS should be doing a better job of vetting whom they approve to handle our $ and go after them when they steal from us. Instead it appears what they are doing to stop them is NOTHING!

I had the same issues above, and it was a pain to get a response from PayUSAtax until i filed a BBB complaint which they responded to in minutes. Their response was no different from the tracking number i already pulled from 'payment verification' link on their site.

The issue appears to be with the IRS, not the payment facilitator. I called the IRS twice before with same tracking (EFTPS) number...both time they said cannot be traced. Today I called again and the IRS was able to trace it within no time. I was told there is payment processing delay on IRS side (credit cards payments) and I should ignore the letter I received from IRS since they can trace it.

I had to go in circles for two weeks because two incompetent IRS customer service associates.

That does not release PayUSAtax from their horrible customer service....an on-going issue IRS are aware off but still direct taxpayers to their site.

IRS never received payment. On hold with pay usa tax for 5.5 hrs. And still waiting . Have confirmation #. Money was removed from acct. Over $2000. Need to talk to someone to resolve this please. Getting penalties

Oh wow...I see I'm not alone! I made an initial payment of $500 to the IRS via PayUSATax after filing my taxes with TurboTax. I received a receipt and a confirmation number. All seemed well and good...I checked my bank account...the money had indeed been withdrawn, BUT I just found out that IRS never got the payment. I tried contacting PayUSATax....no luck. Contacted TurboTax...no luck. Are we all just screwed or is there some relief available??

Pay taxes in March received a letter in June taxes were not paid. Try to call the company numerous times on hold for three hours. Never answered, called IRS did not pay them. Still trying to get the matter straight. Sent quite a few emails to.

As many people had or have the same issue (including me) of not transferred payments to the IRS and getting a notice from IRS, here's how I could resolve this in 3 days.

1.) Call IRS 833-678-7020. If called at 8am, you won't have to wait too long (30-45min).
Let them know about the issue, they might set your account "on hold" (Because you called, took care of the issue and trying to cooperate / resolve the thing)

2.) FILE A COMPLAINT at BBB (Better Business Bureau) about "Catalis Payments", they are the heads of paytaxusa.com. Bad reviews seem to be useless.
I had an answer in 1 day with a provided tracking number that I should tell IRS.

3.) Call IRS after having received this said tracking number - I didn't even need to do that, the payment was received over night, problem solved, crisis averted, worries wiped away.

So, frankly, I can't tell where the glitch actually happens. Is it paytaxusa or IRS?

I will join the others and say this company is scamming and I’m surprised after reading here and after a quick search finding out this is not an isolated incident as per news reports on Yahoo news, Wral News and ABC 15 Arizona, that the IRS would still have this company listed on their site. I went thru pretty much the same thing as everyone else. IRS did not receive my payment and none of the confirmation information listed on the site or given by the site matches anything the IRS has on their end. I tried reaching out to the company and was on hold for what seemed like forever. NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE . In the end of it my only options was to wait for the IRS to get back to me after near 4 months for a callback. And yes they said this 120 days to receive a “callback” on a company known to mess with taxpayers dollars.

Ultimately I disputed the charge with my credit card company and made the payment directly from my bank account. So now I’m waiting for my bank to basically fight to get me my money back after they failed to provide a promised service.

Scam! Scam! Scam! Paid via credit card through Turbo Tax. All seemed fine. Charge went through to my credit card on 4/17/23. Two months later IRS sends me notice stating they have not received any funds. Impossible to get PAYUSATAX on phone! NIGHTMARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
