Payusatax 

Paid taxes due in full plus a convenience fee through payusatax.com, received confirmation number for successful payment. Today, I received notice from IRS that I still owe the money. This transaction even shows on my card statement as us treasury. IRS says, they cannot find my payment. I've called, emailed and filed a complaint. (Fingers crossed)

I paid $500 to PayUSATax as well as a $9.95 convenience fee when I filed my extension with them. They fraudulently took my money and never sent it in to the IRS, nor did they file the extension. The charges were both on my credit card. They refuse to acknowledge this, and I am having to dispute the charges via my card company. This company should be taken out of business! They are stealing and defrauding customers.

Useless service that steals your money.
Payment taken and then declined, returned funds were $150 less than I paid.
Do not use this service.

This company is should be removed from the IRS website. I submitted my Federal tax payment through their website but they never sent the payment even after a week. When I called, I was on hold for 50 minutes before I hung up. Also, it's been about 2 weeks since I messaged them with no response. Furthermore, I can't log into their website which the reset password never works. Hence, I paid my taxes directly to the IRS website and frozen my credit card to prevent PayUSATax from charging. Beware of PayUSATax!!

They are terrible. I'm not understanding how they are still allowed to do business. I was told by ---- to reach out to them and see if they would reverse a payment. I was on Hold for 8 hrs. I was originally on hold for over 2 hours someone answered and then they hung up on me after answering. I had to start the process all over. I ended up with a negative checking account and other issues relating to the company not responding in a timely manner and reversing my funds. we need to start a class action suit...

My card failed the authorization twice, and went through on the third attempt after i called my bank. As several have reported, they charged three identical inconvenience charges instead of one. I suppose I have to try to get these charged back because calling their support numbers is a waste of time. I spent 6 hours yesterday, and was hung up on twice. Today i called at the beginning of their business hours, and have been on hold for almost two hours now. I also submitted a support ticket 4 days ago. Heard nothing.

I tried using the service to pay my taxes with my credit card. It didn't go through the first time, so I tried two more times and it never went through. I ended up just paying directly with my bank account through another avenue. However, payusatax.com charged my credit card the convenience fee three times! The first time I called them, I waited over an hour for them just to tell me to call the IRS to get the convenience fees reimbursed. When I called the IRS they told me to call payusatax. What a joke. I'm calling a payusatax.com a second time and I've been on hold for 1 hour and 57 minutes!!! I am appalled that the IRS and basically US Government endorses this horrible company!

Update: 09/16/24 I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and within 3 days I had a response from payusatax parent company Catalis Payments. I didn’t get a chance to call them today, but saw that they reimbursed all three “convenience fees”
So now I don’t have to.

I tried to pay my federal estimated taxes three times and the site timed out each time and said try again. NO payment was ever successfully made and yet they charged me a large service fee. Three calls to customer service with no answer after waiting 30 minutes. I have also sent them two emails with no answer. Fourth call after waiting 30 minutes again and customer service rep took care of it and reversed the charges.

This company should not be an option for tax payers. Their website timed out after I submitted my payment with no confirmation. So I submitted a second time and again it timed out with no confirmation. I then went to another option - Pay1040 - and it worked. I now have three charges on my credit card. The first two with PayUSA were never confirmed and the website timed out. I called them and was on hold for 50 minutes. When I finally had someone on the line, they hung up. Absolutely horrible!!!

Awful service. Why does state and federal government use them?

They don't even deserve 1 star. I made a payment they marked it as accepted but the IRS never received it. I have been dealing with this issue for the last 6 months and whenever I call pay usa tax and talk to somebody on the phone they tell me theres absolutely nothing they can do about it and were extremely rude to me. I'm now 8k down the drain and nowhere in sight if this money will even come back to me, all because some stupid scam website that is actually offered on the IRS website. INSANE. TERRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Why is this company on the irs website as a source to pay your tax debt. When clearly they are a scam company. I paid through them using irs.gov now I don't know where my payment is. And when I tried to login to the account using my email that I registered with,now they say that they don't recognize my email in search of an account. This company needs to be investigated by the government asap.

I paid my estimated taxes through them, but the IRS never received my payment. I contacted them by email from their website and am still waiting to receive a confirmation or answer. UPDATE: After three transfers and many attempts, I finally had someone by phone. The person I had told me that my address didn't match the EFTPS number. It makes no sense. I provided all the possible addresses I had before and after 2023 but have yet to be successful. I asked her to try using my phone number or email, but she said that their procedure requests the address ONLY, so they will keep the money they have since July 2023 until I find an address that is not mine!

Unlike attempts to talk to anyone at regular IRS departments, or payusatax this service is a perfectly run and has people that answer and actually help. Live person picks up sends you to advocate, I chose to get returned call and the girl got me straightened out. She could see my account, she could see paid on time, she says the interest and penalties would be credited as soon as the charge posts.
Why it takes over two months to post the transaction is unacceptable and no one should use these third party credit card pay sites.

Fraud company! I used them to pay amount I was owed to IRS in April. Today I got letter from IRS, demanding my original amount plus penalties. They NEVER paid IRS!!! Scammers!!

Long story short, I got robbed by Payusatax, they didn't make my payment to the IRS not I have to pay again.

Let me be honest, helpful, and constructive. THE OPPOSITE of this fraudulent website. PAYUSATAXES are thieves. I received a letter from the IRS saying I hadn't paid however when I go back to April 11th the day I had everything process and paid for (as indicated by records, tax person, and bank statements) it looks like they just stole my money. THIS IS ridiculous that that website shows up onto of the actual IRS website on google. AND YES they will make you feel like an idiot "are you sure you entered the correct email"

Received a notice from IRS. No payment received. No response from payusatax.com. no answers. Please include me in any lawsuit. My son was scammed here. F****

I’ll recommend using taxslayer or other website.

My friend is an international student and had to use this website to file tax. But when she had to make a refund payment, they charged her bank account without sending to the IRS.
They hung up on her after giving 0 care about their suspicious behavior.

I wanted to Thank, PayUSA. I used them for all my IRS payments, for years. Never, any problems. I actually, wanted to write them, to tell them Thank you, for their years of service.
