Its about PARK DEAN themselves.
We are a young family looking forward to our hols at a Park dean site in north wales.
The issue only started this week when our friends thought they may join us, when they enquired about the same size pitch and time etc THEY found it over £200 cheaper on there online brochure.
which after a few calls and not getting anywhere, I found out its a live booking system, SO BOOKING WITH PARKDEAN IS A LOTTERY...… we booked in march ,so not last min
I've spoken to a few people and they have promised me a call back,ive left lots of messages at the Head office ,I've sent emails to head of service, and now the CEO and not one of them have bothered to reply.
I noticed that they dont bother putting the trustpilot review numbers on there main site.
on reading there key values etc They say a a customer we get a fair price, what's fair about me paying over £200 more than the pitch next to me....
I'm sure the site will be ok as its not the staffs faulty.
i put something on Google and will copy and paste this aswell.Because no one has got back to me.
£200 may not be a lot the them but an awful lot to us,

Following issues with the cleanliness of our holiday caravan on arrival, they quickly responded offering full apologies and rectifying the situation accordingly.
All staff that we have come into contact with have been friendly, polite and helpful.
We will be happy to return in the future.

Had two weeks booked at Camber Sands and lasted one night, absolutely filthy caravan, freezer was full of brown frozen liquid, mattresses we stained as well as the quilts. Actually saw bugs crawling around and foyer one night I am covered in bites. Packed up and left that morning. 4 days on and still waiting for a call from the manager. Manager has been in a meeting every time I have called to speak to him. Disgusting, would never go again

Parkdean Ruda,Clovelly Lodge Number 4
Family Bathroom had Black mould, cracked wall tiles, Cracked Bath panel that was in their own words "Dangerous " as it could cause an injury. Missing shower plastic strip between bath and shower screen so when the shower was in use the Bathroom flooded creating a slip hazard.
Ensuite off main Bedroom shower cubicle had the door missing & replaced with a shower curtain however this had Black mould on it, also the plastic strip off the missing door was completely covered in Black Mould, the shower tray also had a substantial amount of Black mould on it broken tiles & the shower plug was filthy.
There is no way any of this property had been cleaned to any standard that anybody would have found acceptable, the neglect & lack of maintenance of this property was clear for all to see including damage to the Microwave & kitchen unit damage.
My Son who has AUTISM found the lack of cleanliness very disturbing and could not bring himself to use either of the showers or bath for fear of catching a disease, the distress that this caused my son was disgraceful & unacceptable, you don't spend £900.00 for 4 nights to expect that.
I reported this to the reception staff who after seeing the photos I had taken asked if they could put things right as the Bath panel was in a Dangerous state of disrepair.
I gladly agreed and made arrangements for them to resolve the situation.
They also stated that the property was due to be cleaned next week when the property was not in use !!! & it was unfortunate that the property had been in constant use, I did not find this situation acceptable & informed them that I wanted a refund.
As we were going off site for a few hours they could come immediately to address the issues. When we returned nothing had been done.
I went back to reception they sent maintenance to fix issues, 2 staff arrived had a look stated they didn't have a replacement Bath panel & plastic strip to stop water from pooling on the bathroom floor. They just kept saying they worked on heating & boilers & would try to fix the problems. The solution was to gaffer tape the Bath Panel, place a strip on the glass to stop the water going on the floor, the fix failed water still leaked all over the floor. Nobody came to clean the BLACK MOULD OFF !!!!!!.
My Son has been traumatised over this experience.
I have phoned, emailed Parkdean sent them a recorded letter with photos to which they have not replied to.
I have also sent photographs of the conditions that we were faced with when we got into the accommodation in emails after waiting for the cleaning team to finish up on the day we arrived!! What they cleaned I have no ideas.
Parkdean have said they carried out an investigation & have said that they have reviewed your complaint and can see that the General Manager of Ruda has upheld their decision to offer you a 20% holiday sales voucher. I believe this resolution is fair and reflective of the issues you raised and we wouldn't look to offer anything further.
Latest is I have now been offered a 20% gesture of good will which I informed them was unacceptable & I would not accept, but they still paid it into my account anyway after telling them I would not accept this.
I am still waiting for a response from 10 days ago where they asked for 5 days to respond to my latest email.
The treatment my family have received from this company is way below the standard I would expect, I am not impressed and will be taking my grievance to a higher authority & possible legal action.

We booked a long weekend on the Torquay site in March 22. On arrival at the caravan, we immediately noticed that the table was unusable, also a large group had appeared to have booked the surrounding caravans, they were noisy at this time so we did not wish to risk being disturbed at night. We attended the reception and informed them of the issues and our concern and the staff were very helpful in our request to be moved to a Quiter caravan. We were given what was classed as an upgrade, which they had no option to charge us for. This being £120 which was as much as we paid for the weekend, we had to wait for over two hours to obtain the key as the housekeeping team were in a meeting ! On my return home I contacted customer services in relation to the excessive charge and the issues reported and I understood the reception staff were obliged to charge but I felt this extra amount or a percentage could be refunded by head office. This did not happen and I got the standard thank you for letting us know of the issues etc etc !

We've just come back from 3 nights at Parkdean Resorts Southview park. The worst holiday I've ever experienced, and definitley won't be using Parkdean for a 7th time.
To begin with Thomas in the customer services was thoroughly rude, the tv in the caravan didn't work properly, they had a Harry Styles tribute act who only got applauded when he stopped singing Harry Styles songs, a real lack of street lighting around the park, my breakfast was cold and had bits missing and the staff had absolutely no kind of control over the noise levels when the bingo was being played.
The Showbar was like Hell on earth though. Every time I wanted to get a drink, I had to queue up for 30 - 40 minutes. There was a variety of factors for this, these were :
1 card reader working between 3 staff leading to confusion and customers cutting across each other
Staff totally disorganised
Staff more interested in chatting women up than serving customers
One memeber of staff coming the other side of the bar to have his picture taken with some women guests
A lack of the staff actually caring about the waiting time when I challenged them, the James Corden lookalike was the worst for this
The Aspalls cider seemingly being watered down, it certainly tasted like it
Regularly being served short measures by the bar staff, even when there is a line showing where the jug / glass needs filling up to
The app orders being ignored by the bar staff
The rarely seen table server didn't know where the tables were located
I have a bad back which has been made dramatically worse due to the complete f******s they employ. Thanks Parkdean, what a complete and utter waste of time and money
This review will be shared with their CEO as I sincerely hope that they sort this out for the poor souls who have booked up to go there

I booked a holdiday at Parkdean Resorts to take place on the 12th September 2022. I then tried to cancel the holiday on the 24th of April 2022. Which is more than 70+ days before the holiday is due to start. I was informed that I would only get back £18 although I had already paid £133 via DD to them. I would like to know how they can do that as I was not given a copy of the Booking Regulations at time of booking??

Try to solve everything they can with a smile.and believe me it's not always easy for them .
They are the 1st response team in the firing line for all our caravan owners issues and problems etc but try really hard to sort for us.
Sometimes it's out of their job description but they always try.
Am sure they are underpaid for what they do and their loyalty especially nick Ashby as I have come to know him more than the newer Sam and Sharon
But couldn't wish for a better team to take our problems to and pay our fees to nick Ashby you are amazing as am sure I will find Sam and Sharon to be as I get to know you better
My little girl got shot with a BB gun in parkdean resort on site park the staff handled it very badly had to call police myself as the staff didn't do nothing to help us

We had our holiday booked for valley farm clacton. Our family of 4, one of whom is a disabled child we’re left without any heating or hot water for three days!!!! We packed up at 8am on the Sunday morning and left!!!! We were cold and dirty!!! Unable to wash for three days!!! You unhelpful, greedy, uncaring money grabbers!!!!

Just spent a long weekend at parkdean park, in southerness. went to bar with my partner was having a relaxing drink, noticed a very young child (about 2/3 yrs old)still playing in bar area about 12,30am, seen a member of bar staff take the child to the toilet, when i commented on this the person in charge of the child overheard me saying it and confronted me about my comment, was asked to leave the bar area by security only to find out the guy that confronted me was the bar manager who was by the way quite intoxicated, i left the bar as asked to with no problem but went back in to get my partner he kicked off at me again, totally unacceptable for a manager on the park to be so intoxicated and in charge off a very young child and at the start of the season, wonder what he will be like when the place is in full season,

Been an owner for over 5 years know at Newquay,the other day 5/04/22 some one entered our lodge and left the door wide open for at least a day.We noticed the door wide open on camera and contacted the security.To date no one has explained how this was possible with key left in the door,we know are checking if anything was stolen.What a poor service this site offers for the pitch fees.I recommend using other parks near by Newquay as we will be know moving due to this.Im sure some one will know contact us giving some crap excuse why this happened,to late Parkdean ,take my advice and dont use this park in Newquay.Totally incompetent.
Just home from " sandylands " a parkdean resort holiday site ,brilliant all round ,staff n cleaners all polite n can't do enough for you

Manager (K head office Newcastle) refused to take call from advisor (T)- wouldn't help with payment date. Even though they brought it forward before the 10 week travel time. Not travelling for 10 weeks 6 days away. Tried to move my date and charge more for moving. Don't treat customers fairly, wouldn't recommend based on the service at head office. Very unhappy with how they refer to T&C's but don't actually help you. Put you out of pocket and everything is you need to pay £££££ more. Disgusting service!

The best Parkdean site that they have got I’ve been coming here for over 19 years/ my hole life and my dad has been coming here for Over 45 years and never once have we ever complained about our stays here. The staff are great and helpful in anyway they can.we love the new changes that are being brought here and can’t wait to see what they got planned for the future. We had nothing wrong with every caravan that ever we had, they have been spotless clean and never had problems with them. What we like the best is the entertainment they are great and there is always something for all ages to enjoy. So thank you for everything that you have done and can’t wait to come back down again.

Parkdean Ruda pool is unfit for purpose!
They'll take your money to pre-book swimming, but only when you get there will you find out there is an issue with the temperature! Advertised as a tropical pool, however it is freezing and unsafe for small children.

Had a fabulous long weekend at southview park skegness only complaint if you can call it that was no net curtains on the windows for daytime privacy, apart from that everything spot on, recommend to friends who are seriously thinking of going. We will definitely be back but for a week this time

We went to Ruda in Devon in August 2021 for 10 days with my wife, daughter and her two boys
We were shown to our lodge which stank of smoke
We asked immediately to be moved and they reluctantly transferred us to another lodge which the manager Fiona confirmed we could remain in, for the duration of our holiday as my eldest grandson does not react well to change
Having unpacked , the manager then phoned and said we would have to move again after 7 days ! When we queried that, as she had originally spoken in front of witnesses , she denied she had said that and if we refused to move , she would get security to physically throw us out !
I said I would welcome being manhandled in front of their other guests and asked to speak to the General Manager . He said he would u in try and allow us to stay for the duration, in the lodge and when asked about the lies and intimidation , he did not deny it had happened and asked that "he would deal with it privately"
He also promised that he would update us daily on where we would be staying
Unsurprisingly , we never heard anything again until we chased him up , when we were told we would have to move AGAIN . So we spent 2 hours packing and then a further 2 hours unpacking which rather ruined one day of our holiday
When I returned home I contacted the CEO who put me in touch with his regional director . He was next to useless and said that he would instigate an internal enquiry . He came back and said that the staff had denied it , but also said that if they had admitted their disgraceful behaviour they would have been liable to disciplinary action , so he expected them to deny it
He also agreed that the General Manager had not defended his staff which he said was interesting in itself. That member of staff who lied to us ,Fiona the manager , is also stated by a previous reviewer on Trust Pilot to have “lied to their face” You wonder why they continue to employ a serial liar ?
He refused point blank to agree any semblance of rebate for ruining one day of our holiday ,and threatening us , lying , and trying to palm us off with sub standard and unhygienic accommodation, saying that we had been re-housed !
The Trust Pilot reviews of this company are so appalling that I am sure many other customers would like to try and get a response apart from the banal bleatings of their customer service team who show no interest in customer service or satisfaction . See their reply below ! It just proves they are not interested in admitting how appalling they are and how devoid of any sense in thinking that I will ever visit again . Avoid this company like the plague if you value your safety ,your security, your health , your holiday enjoyment and getting what you paid for

We are absolutely gutted with our holiday experience. We were so looking forward to our holiday which was brought as a birthday present for my partner. It was our first trip away since the pandemic. We spent a lot of money to get here (we travelled here via air and rented a car). We stayed at Eyemouth in caravan C10 between 13th-17th September
Our caravan was mould-ridden, with mould covering mattresses, headboards and the walls in the double and children’s bedrooms (there is absolutely no way Parkdean staff entering the caravan in-between guests could have missed this), the room smelt damp. Very dusty headboards. There was also mould on the sofas.
We found a sanitary product wrapper on the toilet floor (from a previous guest). There was hard dried faeces stain in the toilet. Stained couches and chairs. Dirty floors, filthy skirting boards, heavily mouldy and rusted shower, shower door not attached properly, wall paper peeling off, rubbish found on bedroom floor, cooker knob broken and heavily littered with cigarette butts at the caravan entrance. Sadly the list was endless and have photo evidence of all the above which I have already sent
To customer relations.
I would question if our caravan was cleaned to any form of the stated ‘Enhanced COVID standard’. I feel the accommodation was unacceptable and dangerous given we are
I’m the midst of a global pandemic.
On-site facilities such as entertainment and menu stock were limited, incorrect and disappointing
However on a positive note the staff at the restaurant were friendly and engaging.
We came to Park dean Eyemouth due to the mostly positive reviews and am shocked we have had such a different experience.
We have had a prompt response from customer service and a partial refund, however sadly the requested full refund was not given as Parkdean feel we should have complained sooner, I feel the matter of the fact is we shouldn’t have been provided such dangerous accommodation in the first place so when I complained is irrelevant.
This review could have been avoided.
