Persistent Targeted Advertising After One Website Visit
I visited the Office Boffins website while looking at a particular red leather office chair. Since then, adverts for Office Boffins featuring that exact chair have repeatedly appeared while I have been browsing completely unrelated websites.
I find this type of retargeting intrusive and off-putting. I looked at a chair on your website; I did not expect that interest to result in the same product effectively following me around the internet afterwards.
Customers should be aware that browsing particular products on the Office Boffins website may apparently be used for targeted advertising elsewhere online. Whatever label is applied to it — “personalised advertising” or “retargeting” — from a customer’s perspective it feels like being tracked.
In my case it has completely backfired. Instead of encouraging me to buy the chair, it has made me far less inclined to buy anything from Office Boffins.
If businesses are going to use customers’ browsing behaviour in this way, it should be made clear and prominent, not buried in cookie notices and privacy wording that most people will never realistically read.

Split seat until third time lucky !
Having decided to go for a more expensive office chair we purchased one from office Boffins . It arrived quite promptly but with a big split in the seat and bolts missing . I called Emily
Who arranged a new seat to be sent. I asked her to check it as I needed it asap. She assured me it would be checked . It arrived split again I once again spoke to Emily who assured me she would make sure this time he seat would be checked once again . Luckily third time lucky it was fine ! I am just waiting now to see if I get some kind of refund for the inconvenience .
