MyChargeBack firmly believes that an open, free platform allowing consumers to share their experiences with service providers is a vital asset for any business. For us, it provides access to feedback that we might otherwise not receive. And we genuinely appreciate all legitimate comments that have been posted here, both positive and negative, because they have allowed us to resolve outstanding issues, improve our products and services and better serve our clients. Unfortunately, however, Trustpilot is a thoroughly unreliable platform for consumers who wish to determine the reliability of a merchant. The algorithms developed by its anonymous and unresponsive "Content Integrity Team" are poorly designed and, as a result, regularly delete legitimate 5-star reviews submitted by real consumers who have had genuine service-related experiences. For example, in 2023 alone, Trustpilot removed approximately 30 such 5-star reviews from our page. MyChargeBack would be pleased to provide copies of those deleted but legitimate reviews to anyone who asks. In addition, due to certain ambiguities in Trustpilot rules, many fake reviews posted by spammers, scammers, hackers, and competitors remain online, even though its so-called "Content Integrity Team" does claim it attempts to interdict them. As of August 30, 2022, Trustpilot had removed 551 fake reviews that were on this page, a full 70% more than those that remained. We are not the only ones who have noted Trustpilot's erratic policies. Indeed, similar observations have been posted on Trustpilot’s own Trustpilot page. Unfortunately, we have to conclude that the wide gaps in Trustpilot’s platform create an opportunity for those with ulterior motives to mislead potential and current clients. Instead of assisting consumers in making an educated decision whether to use our services, they may be left confused. Trustpilot is a discredited source. The constant monitoring and attempt at managing fake reviews, of course, requires a substantial commitment of time and manpower. Trustpilot's institutional negligence forces us to undertake that commitment in order to ensure as much as possible that the comments posted are legitimate. If you are a consumer who does seek informed advice about MyChargeBack, we have former clients worldwide who would be happy to share their real experience with you. If you would like to schedule a meeting or follow-up with someone on our team, please register directly on our website. Whether you chose to work with MyChargeBack or not, we wish you much success. And if you, like us, are a vendor, you are best advised to beware Trustpilot and opt to cooperate with one of its more dependable competitors instead.

Alex: Thank you for contacting us. We share your disappointment that we were unable to assist you.

Before accepting a case we carefully review it to determine what resources are available to address it. Based on the information you provided, it was clear that we would have to expend significant resources in order to do so. In such instances, it is appropriate to ask a client to assist us in underwriting those costs. Had you turned to any other professional, such as an attorney, private investigator or accountant, you would have been asked to do so as well. Why? Because otherwise they would be inundated with requests like yours. That would monopolize their time and compromise their ability to win the time-dependent cases of those clients who do agree to participate in the costs.

At any rate, we wish you the best of luck in recovering your claim.

Poor communication during proces, but ...

After a good start where I could share my story and MyChargeback told me they are able to help me in order trying to get (some) of my money back, I decided to sign up. After being scammed for a large amount of money, this was something difficult to do because how can I be sure that MyChargeBack isn't just another scam?

I remember well how they first told me to imagine how helpfull it would be to know that I'm no longer on my own because MyChargeBack is there for me to support me in the struggle I'm in with the obscure broker that scammed me.

After paying the initial fee and dropping all relevant documents I only received one mail from the blockchain analyst.

We are a month further now and I have asked several times for an update on my case. The only response so far is from the supportdesk telling me that my question is forwarded and I will receive a reply within 2 business days.

Well... several business days have passed but still heared nothing.

This looks very similar to the way the broker that scammed me work... I get the feeling that I've been in this position before...

I see they respond quicker to reviews on Trustpilot so I try it over here.

So far my experience is not very well. In the beginning I felt relieved but now I feel nervous again.
Is it realy so difficult to just inform me about the progress? Communication with us, as victims of scammers, is crucial to retain confidence!

I hope I can update this review and rank more stars in the near future.

UPDATE
After being contacted by customer satisfaction department , communication went much better. As you can imagine I got a little nervous after depositing quite some money and having trouble to just get information. I have been scammed before...
Thank you 'customer satisfaction' for your intervention.

Today I received the report with instructions for the next steps together with mail templates I easily can use for those next steps.

Hopefully all the waiting will be worth it, but first we go to work and nail the real scammers!

I ranked up the review as promissed ;-) and will be back if there's more to share.

Not a great experience

MyChargeBack gave basic support for my case. I don't think it's a useful service overall.

Dowgrade to 1 star after sharing confidential details without permission in the comment below.
As I said yes they do provide support, which is a template and basic guideline on how to proceed, not more than that. You are basically on your own despite paying a hefty fee.

We believe that it is only fair for Marco to allow us to fully respond to inaccuracies. His review comes as a surprise to us considering that two of the bank wire recalls we prepared for him resulted in refunds totaling the equivalent of US$7,896. That was not possible simpy due to a "template." We researched the merchant and compiled the information necessary to convince the bank that it had an obligation to refund his money. We also engaged wih an attorney to submit legal demand letters to the marchant and the bank. Yes, we a bank wire recall is accompanied by guidelines how to proceed. That is because we do not have power-of-attorney to submit documents to a client's bank. Only the client can do that.

Beyond that, we also note that we issued Marco a CryptoTrace Report, in which we documented the path his cryptocurrency took through the blockchain until it reached the cash-out wallet, and identified for him the exchange that hosted that wallet.

Of course, we cannot and do not guarantee a specific result for every case we accept, since total success depends on the cooperation of outside parties, such as banks, government regulators, crypto exchanges, and law enforcement agencies. But we do guarantee that we will invest 100% of our effort in every case we accept, and are confident that we did so in this client's disputes as well.

QUESTION TO THOSE WHO ARE HAPPY GETTING THEIR MONEY BACK …

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO ARE HAPPY GETTING THEIR MONEY BACK
ANY BODY OF YOU GET HIS MONEY BACK FROM BOXINVESTING. COM??

Unfortunately, they do not recognize my name, I started dealing with MyChargeBack since January 2020, first with Nathan A. and then with Howard T .
My experience with them is not very impressive.
they make me busy all the time sending documents and writing letters.
The only thing they did they send a letter to the bank where I wired my money to the Fraudster and they told me that the bank and the beneficiary do not respond .
I do not expected the Fraudster will respond and return the money easily and without pressure.

Instead They asked me to write a complaint letter to the Republic of Serbia Securities Commission,

and when I told Mr.Howard why your lawyer does not write this letter ?

His response was" The lawyer will only file a complaint with the regulator as a special paid-for service."
Even though the agreement was to pay $1200 US first and a 20% from what they return back.

Ali: We understand that in the meanwhile Howard has spoken with you and explained the procedures to which you make reference. To summarize, there are important procedural reasons why these letters have to be sent, even if we know in advance that the merchant will not respond. The letter to the Serbian regulator is an appeal of the bank's decision in your case, which is vital in your situation. Regrettably, the services you contracted with us do not include multiple attorney retainers, but we did prepare the information you required and guided you through the process as part of our commitment to provide each and every one of our clients with 100% of our effort. We indeed hope there will be a positive reply from the regulator.

Markus.

Markus.
Your services seem to shine with their absence. I was in a vulnerable situation and turned to you for good help, I thought.
All you have to do is send pre-written emails through a lawyer in Bulgaria who is as corrupt as the whole country. You sent me a request that I request a refund from Nordea Sweden. You should know that this should be done no later than 6 months after the event. It happened almost 1 year after it happened. I have not even sent that request to the bank it is totally pointless. I thought you were a pro at handling such things but I was wrong.

You have not made a single message to me that you have given a positive message. Every time I contact you to find out what you are doing, you send the same document via the lawyer in Bulgaria which does not lead to anything.

I want to know what answers you have received from the relevant authorities you

Have you Been in contact with.

1. Report to the police what happens to you what answers have you received?

2. Notification to the Bank of Latvia What answers have you received?

3. You should contact the Legal Department of each country. What answers did you get?
I have been waiting for an answer for more than 2 weeks. I paid almost 3k Euro for the service which is useless.

Mr. Harner: We understand that Markus was scheduled to call you to give you an update on your case via phone. Please expect his phone call. He will answer your questions.

Just to answer a few issues here for the benefit of those reading this review:

1. The attorney we contract in Bulgaria is a respected attorney who has several years of experience in successfully bringing scammers and their financial services enablers to justice. We stand by his honesty and integrity.

2. MyChargeBack recovery agents are well aware of the time limits of claims with Nordea and the other 700+ banks that we communicate with.

3. There is no "same document." We have sent 6 legal letters on your behalf and with your approval to the different entities in your two cases with requests specific to that entity's role in the scam.

4. With regards to the "answers from the relevant authorities," there are periods of waiting for responses, but when the responses do come, they will come directly to you. You will need to inform us that you have received them.

We look forward to continuing to assist you.

Big promise, no result - now I lost additional money

I was lured with great promises that they could get the lost money back. Even when asked whether this works in Germany, the answer was yes.
That was a lie. Nothing, absolutely nothing was reimbursed by the bank. I won't be the only one who hasn't got money back.
It doesn't seem to work in Germany!

Uli: As a matter of policy, we only take on cases that meet the chargeback criteria established by the credit card companies themselves. But because the ultimate decision whether to grant a full chargeback is solely up to the bank (and not us and not the credit card companies), we do not guarantee recovery. Therefore, our onboarding agents explain this to each client, and it is also mentioned very clearly in your contract.

While don't promise a full recovery, we do promise 100% effort to maximize the chances that the bank will accept a full chargeback, which we obviously did in your case. We even followed up on the bank's decision by directing your appeal to the German regulator, which unfortunately upheld the bank's decision.

Nonetheless, we strongly believe that the bank erred in your case and that you did not receive the quality of service from your bank that you deserved.

I heard you

I understand that this is public space and you would put up a defence. It's not an issue to me as I will never be needing your services again, forever.
All I demand is that you channel the same energy with which you pursue clients to sign a contract with you to the recovery process. Don't make them start doing the chasing after collecting their money. That was what they suffered in the hands of the scammers. And whenever you speak of your legitimacy on the grounds that you are registered and all of that, don't also forget that there are legitimate scams, it's all about intent and what you call diplomacy.
It is one of the reasons I had to put up a negative review about you in order to hear that my contract with you had been stalled. Have some integrity by being honest in all your dealings. This is the only way you can be different from illegitimate scammers.

Ayeni: Thank you for wanting to provide us with constructive feedback. As noted in our previous response, however, we do not provide translations or translators. Should such external services be required, our contract specifically requires the client to contract them independently. In your case, that meant hiring a translator or identifying an English-speaking employee of the bank who would be able to communicate directly with us.

You note that you did go to your bank in person to locate an English-speaking employee but they did not demonstrate a willingness to help you. Your MyChargeBack recovery agent suggested yet another possibility, which was to ask a friend who speaks both Japanese and English to serve as a translator, but unfortunately that never materialized.

Your case was stalled only for that reason. We were waiting for you to get back to us, not the other way around.

HV: Total Disappointment

I stand by all those clients who have rated MCB with one star.

In the last three weeks I have been receiving emails indicating my case manager has moved on to different opportunity and a new case manager, will be assigned. This morning I received another email saying they cannot work on my case as they (MCB) have reached end of service contract. I signed the agreement to open my case on July 30 2019 and was assured my case was a typical example for their expert team to resolve. I read all the reviews and felt positive that my case will be handled according to the pride with which the sales man spoke of MCB.

This case was nothing new to MCB but I feel my case has been Not been worked on diligently and has been deliberately dragged for one year with no resolution to any of the two cases - wire refund and credit card refund. The company has not exhausted all the possibilities of bringing this two cases to a successful recovery because communication is still on going with the bank. I consider this Is a total dishonesty on the part of the company. Neither have I been informed of the progress on the wire refund.

The letters to the banks were very well written but there was a long time lag in the dispatch of the letters. Action was only taken when I sent a reminder email. Due to such delays my case has been dragging for one year now and I have been left hanging with no resolution of the two cases. I am afraid to say the company’s interest is only in the initial deposit.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED - I regret I ever contacted MCB.

As the reply claims 100% effort was put in, BUT was not done on time - I had no knowledge that there is a time limit in requesting the credit card bank to file a chargeback. I only came to know this when I read a complain against MCB by one of the clients. I sent several emails to inform the case manager I was nearing the time limit to request for a chargeback. Only then did he respond. (There was a time for almost three months after August 2019 when my emails went unanswered. Too much time was wasted when this time could have been used wisely.) The bank argued that we had passed the deadline but somehow he managed to convince the bank. This should have been done immediately when I signed the contract in July but the action was not taken until November and that too upon my reminder. The first letter for wire recovery was sent to the bank on time but there was no follow up or any action until January 2020 and I have not heard anything since then.

If truly the company had the intention for aiming at a successful ending everything should have been worked on time without me constantly reminding to reply to the bank letters. I am still, communicating with the bank. These cases have been left half way hanging in the Air with no closure. There is no FINAL decision on the two cases so far that would convince me the game is over. My cases have been dropped simply because my service contract has ended and not because there Is a firm and a final decision that all possibilities have been exhausted to recover the money.

Just three weeks ago I was told to wait for the expert opinion letter before sending the letter to the bank. When I sent the reminder to sent me the expert opinion letter by then the story had totally changed to - my cases cannot be worked on because my contract has ended. I was told to get a final answer from the bank and the next step was to take the matter to the Regulators which to date has not happened.

Yet, I was REPEATEDLY told it can take up to a year or even beyond a year to resolve these issues and in my case we had a long way to go.

I am deeply hurt and I am angry for being mislead by the company.

Harjit: We share your disappointment. But we take strong exception with your assertion that we did not work "diligently" on your case and "dragged" it on for a year. We provided every service our contract enumerated, and more. We continued to pursue your cases, for example, well beyond the six months contractually required in order to explore every last option available, including an appeal to the regulator. That accounts for the length of the process. We cannot and do not promise 100% success in every case since the ultimate decision to refund a client rests with the bank. But we do promise 100% effort on our part, and the record shows we did just that. We would be pleased to send you a list of the services provided, with the dates they were provided, upon request.

Simon's contract with us was upgraded (at no cost to him) to a more applicable service that did not include the recovery of funds. We prepared a report on his loss and instructed him to submit it to the relevant police officials. He assured us he would do so.

Regarding the legitimacy of our company: MyChargeBack is a member of the American Bankers Association and has an A rating from the Better Business Bureau of New York. Needless to say, neither organization is a front for scammers.

I was a customer with Mychargeback

I was a customer with Mychargeback. It was regarding a wire recall procedure. Essentially they use only a list of standard procedure they follow for all cases. Alot of the legwork was already done by me before even hiring mychargeback. The only thing new was using an official letter to the bank they provided that got no reply. As soon as they got the money for the retainer, they helped with essentially sending only an email/letter to the bank (As I had done all they asked for already myself without their help), now they have completely gone radio silent..... they are not even following up i have to get in touch with them and then do they get back to me after 1 week or longer because essentially they dont have much hope. I am essentially back to where I was before hiring them. all of their testimonial with Western union collaboration etc. is for visa and other items but not wire transfer as they are not experienced. i recommend to not go for them for wire recall service.....

Ali: We're very sorry that your case ended without the success that we all hoped for. As we mentioned in our email to you on March 26th, we exhausted all of the options that were available to us regarding your dispute. Your additional requests were far beyond both the scope of the services that we are able to provide and the services that you paid for, as specified in your contract.

Regarding your accusation that all we did for you was "an email/letter to the bank," we will repeat here the work that the MyChargeBack team did for you as we originally communicated in the March 26th email:

1. We instructed you to file police reports with Action Fraud in the UK and with the Canadian police, which was done.

2. We made a conference call to your bank in Canada with you to request that it attempt to recall your funds. The bank requested that you send a letter, which we prepared for you, and you sent. The bank did attempt the recall, but was told, unfortunately, that the funds were no longer in the beneficiary bank.

3. The attorneys we retained prepared and sent a legal letter to the beneficiary bank, which, unfortunately, was not answered.

4. We prepared a letter for you to send to the merchant requesting a refund. The merchant responded to you that it was in liquidation in the United Kingdom.

5. We consulted with our in-house attorney, who researched the liquidation procedure in the UK and made a recommendation to you. By the way, we did not charge you for that service even though it was not included in your contract.

We only agree to take on cases that have a high likelihood of success, which yours had. Unfortunately, not every case is successful, even when a refund is fully justified. That is because we cannot control the multitude of external factors that determine if a recovery will be successful or not. We cannot prevent funds from being withdrawn from a beneficiary bank. We cannot dictate to any bank its response. We cannot prevent a company's liquidation. We invested as much time and manpower in your case as was humanly possible. But ultimately every last option available was exhausted.

SCAM !!! Double scam !!!

renewal: SCAM .... DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM !!!!!!
Update 2020-10-12:
I keep getting email from them, always respond the same and always get the same answer.

The only way for them to change my professional opinion is to take ONE case on a no-cure-no-pay base (which is possible for any legit company).
Their reaction is still the same, so my opinion is more strong than ever.

So: KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - SCAM - DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Not a legit company !!!
Add 2020-6-17: Received another email from them, my situation has not changed in the last month, but become worse due to the corona crisis. They 'understand how I feel', but all tells me they don't. With all the cliënts they've helped which paid upfront and a percentage of the money retrieved and the fact that they've been in business many years, any other legit company would have formed many reserves and able to help people who can not pay the high sum upfront. They promise you that you will 'almost certainly' will get your money back.
Therefore I still have to conclude that they are not legit !!

Add 2020-6-4: They keep calling me Ms. ???
They also tell that my bank would not cooperate They also tell they can forward a list of 'dozens of actions' which they've taken on my behalf.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I've never paid them, so do they work 'No cure No pay'?
They don't!!!!
So I'm curious about the list.
They may post it in this reply. I give permission to post my personal information hereby.

Add 2020-5-22 (2): My bank has never been contacted by MyChargeBack, so I really don't know what they are talking about!!
Add 2020-5-22: In their reply, MyChargeBack says that they've helped me, but I've never received any help from them. I don't know who they're talking about, but it isn't me !!!

Original reply:
Because I was scammed I've lost all my savings and only have debts. I thought that MyChargeBack could help me, but they are a scam too.
They only want more of your money, which I don't have fortunately otherwise I'd lost that too, and say they can recover your money, so they will get paid in the end. Also, the most effort will have to be done by yourself and I've asked what costs the have but the can't/won't answer that.
So this has to be a scam also. A legit company also would help people like me, who have nothing anymore, in which case they will be paid at recovering the money.

We understand why Mr. van der Linden recommends that we agree to accept cases for free, without any upfront fee, but that is clearly not possible. If we were to do that we would be inundated with so many justifiable cases that we would be unable to process any of them. An upfront fee is standard procedure for other professionals who could assist Mr. van der Linden, such as lawyers or accountants, and, in all likelihood, our upfront fee is far less than theirs would be.

MyChargeBack is indeed a "legit company." And because we are we cannot and do not guarantee that any and every case we accept will have a successful outcome. Let's repeat that: We cannot and do not guarantee that any and every case we accept will have a successful outcome. That is stated clearly in every contract we sign with every client, including Mr. van der Linden. We cannot make such a promise because a case's outcome is not dependent on us. We wish it were, but it's not. It is dependent on the banks, who have the final word.

Alas, Mr. van der Linden's bank refused to cooperate despite repeated attempts on our part that extended over two months. That being the case we suggested appealing the case to the national financial regulator, and explained to the client how to do so. We provided all the service we committed to in our contract. After all, what we can and do guarantee is 100% effort. We therefore did offer the client another service that might have yielded positive results, but she never responded. That was her prerogative.

In response to Mr. van der Linden's assertion that "I've never received any help from them. I don't know who they're talking about, but it isn't me !!!" -- we are willing to forward her at her request a list of the dozens of actions we took on her behalf over the course of five months.

I have been working with my chargeback…

I have been working with my chargeback for nearly a year now with no luck in getting my funds back yet, it has been a difficult process the whole way through and still am not at the end yet. The most difficult thing about this all is the fact that I have had 3 different people contact me from the company and when you reply to an email it takes a ridiculous amount of time for them to get back to you, on top of that if you try and get them on the phone it is near on impossible which is extremely frustrating. What the company needs to understand that talking on the phone makes people who have paid for a service have more trust in you, half of the things they have asked me to do is way out of my comfort zone and a bit of advice from these people would help, but to be totally honest they never call you, they never reply back to your quick enough and they never answer their phone lines. I have a hard time in trusting them after everything I have been through with the scam.

Luke: We regret the lapse of regular communication with your first recovery agent. Cryptocurrency cases like yours are especially complex and time consuming. That being the case, there will be periods of time during which both we and our client have to wait before progress can be confirmed. Nonetheless, your case has been on track and is being actively pursued by our recovery, legal and investigative teams, all of whom have been in touch with you at different stages.

In addition, your new recovery agent, who has spoken with you directly, will continue to accompany you throughout the rest of the process. And you can always be in touch with our Customer Satisfaction Department if you require any additional assistance.
