MyChargeBack firmly believes that an open, free platform allowing consumers to share their experiences with service providers is a vital asset for any business. For us, it provides access to feedback that we might otherwise not receive. And we genuinely appreciate all legitimate comments that have been posted here, both positive and negative, because they have allowed us to resolve outstanding issues, improve our products and services and better serve our clients. Unfortunately, however, Trustpilot is a thoroughly unreliable platform for consumers who wish to determine the reliability of a merchant. The algorithms developed by its anonymous and unresponsive "Content Integrity Team" are poorly designed and, as a result, regularly delete legitimate 5-star reviews submitted by real consumers who have had genuine service-related experiences. For example, in 2023 alone, Trustpilot removed approximately 30 such 5-star reviews from our page. MyChargeBack would be pleased to provide copies of those deleted but legitimate reviews to anyone who asks. In addition, due to certain ambiguities in Trustpilot rules, many fake reviews posted by spammers, scammers, hackers, and competitors remain online, even though its so-called "Content Integrity Team" does claim it attempts to interdict them. As of August 30, 2022, Trustpilot had removed 551 fake reviews that were on this page, a full 70% more than those that remained. We are not the only ones who have noted Trustpilot's erratic policies. Indeed, similar observations have been posted on Trustpilot’s own Trustpilot page. Unfortunately, we have to conclude that the wide gaps in Trustpilot’s platform create an opportunity for those with ulterior motives to mislead potential and current clients. Instead of assisting consumers in making an educated decision whether to use our services, they may be left confused. Trustpilot is a discredited source. The constant monitoring and attempt at managing fake reviews, of course, requires a substantial commitment of time and manpower. Trustpilot's institutional negligence forces us to undertake that commitment in order to ensure as much as possible that the comments posted are legitimate. If you are a consumer who does seek informed advice about MyChargeBack, we have former clients worldwide who would be happy to share their real experience with you. If you would like to schedule a meeting or follow-up with someone on our team, please register directly on our website. Whether you chose to work with MyChargeBack or not, we wish you much success. And if you, like us, are a vendor, you are best advised to beware Trustpilot and opt to cooperate with one of its more dependable competitors instead.

MyChargeBack is a Complete Scam

After losing my life savings which was $70,000 worth of VeChain from my Atomic Desktop wallet to a scammer posing as a fake Geek Squad agent, I reached out to MyChargeBack. After lying to me and convincing me that they could help me recover my stolen crypto, MyChargeBack charged me $1500 and did nothing to help me. I contacted the cybercrimes unit at my police department, but they told me they could do nothing because the crypto was sent to a foreign address. MyChargeBack never worked with the cybercrime's unit at my police department as they promised they would. Now the FBI has seized their website which proves that they are a fraudulent organization. I will email the FBI and tell them that I was scammed by MyChargeBack. I realize that I will probably never get the $1500 that they stole from me, but the more people who complain, might lessen the chance of others being scammed. MyChargeBack is a complete scam. Don't send them any money or agree to anything with them. They will steal your money and do nothing to help you. Their website no longer exists and has been seized by the FBI.

[IL]LEGAL High Pressure Sales

This company may not be a "scam", but the phrase "A rose by any other name" comes to mind. They do not hide in the shadows, in the traditional sense of what a scammer would be, but rather, they use high pressure selling (and lying) tactics to hook you, then hide behind clever, vaguely written contracts that say they don't have to do anything for your money.
After they get your money, they all but ignore you unless they need something. They make claim to spending A LOT of time preparing documents that allude to them going after your aggressor, but it is all for show. They have no real-world authority to make anyone do anything. Ultimately their two main reports are an regurgitated slideshow of all the information you already provided to them. And for those wondering, the only two things they are obligated to do via the contract are those two reports. The contract says a great many things they can or will do, but in the fine print as a footnote it says (direct quote here) 'The “Incorporated Services” listed above will be performed in our reasonable discretion and on an as-needed basis in our rendering of the “Principal Fund Recovery Services” listed above.'
Loose translation (based on my experiences with them): "we aren't going to try to do any of the stuff we promised. We don't have to if we don't want to, and you can't make us."
Complete waste of $7,000 and over two years of my time and piece of mind.

EDIT: I see that MyChargeback likes to send a lot of hostile denial responses to these reviews, so I would like to get ahead of that.
1) My first guess is that they will deny being high pressure sales people. By definition, they are, as they have literally imployed relentless follow up, insinuating that signing with them is an urgent, time-sensitive matter. They made a massive amount of false and misleading claims and statements about their level of legal authority and relationships with governing bodies all over the world. And, countless lies about all the things they were going to do but never even attempted.
2) Their follow-up with me has been next to zero until I started threatening legal action. I have dozens of unanswered emails and questions, most of which are spaced months apart. Their default answer is "someone will get back to you within 48hrs", but they essential ignore any impromptu questions. When you schedule something with their automated system for someone to call, no one called me back one single time.
3) I see repeatedly on responses to clients' reviews across all platforms that they "fulfilled their contractual obligation". This is only true because their contract literally states all of it except two reports are worked "as needed" according to their opinion of what is needed and "at their discresion". I was told repeatedly that they had a team of lawyers that were going to go after all parties involved in my case, and this did not happen at all. In fact, I was told by their customer service rep that whoever told me that was lying to me, because that's not what they do.... they paid a 3rd party lawyer to copy/paste my info into a generic Letter of Demand, and sent it to the scammer and the scammer's bank. No response came back from either of them (because, quite frankly, MyChargeback has zero authority to make any demands), so MyChargeback just GIVES UP. They claim they have "exhausted all Avenues", when I was literally told we were going after all the banking institutions and pursuing legal action all the way to the end. Mind you, I completely understand that winning results are not guaranteed, but giving up before even starting is simply unacceptable.
4) after finally being taken seriously from their legal department after threatening legal suit against them, they started to negotiate re-opening the case and contracting a second lawyer, HOWEVER, after reviewing the new contract, they drew up a contract that was even worse than the first. Essentially this new contract stated the lawyer was only going to do 12 things related to the case, and those thigs are at his discresion, and he was going to stop after that. These 12 things could potentially be as simple as making coffee and using the toilet, as I intepret it. And secondly, they snuck in there that if I were to speak about MyChargeback and my case to anyone besides the lawyer, the lawyer had right to charge me for possibly losing his commision on the case (up to $86,000 in my scenario). Essentially, for writting this exact review would have been grounds to go after me if they wanted to. They will probably say in a response to this review that they tried to negotiate with me, but this is false. They tried to trick me into submission and hide behind contracts to make me go away.

Message to MyChargeback(since the FBI shut down your email servers): I'll still settle for a 75% refund.

MyChargeBack response

As I explained in my previous review on the 27/06/24 the FBI has blocked the MyChargeBack client portal.
I then tried to email both my case manager and Support but those emails failed.
This leaves me in a situation where I have no means of contacting MyChargeBack.

So far, disappointing

I have been a client of theirs for just over 2 years. So far, it has been disappointing to say the least. I have had extensive contact with several attorneys at the firm. However, I was under the impression that since I had made direct bank wire transfers to the investment scammers in question (easier to track, rather than the much more nebulous crypto transfers, which are definitely more difficult to trace), I would have better odds of recovering invested funds, and even helping law enforcement bring these fraudulent creeps to justice. But apparently not. I have paid my retainer fee and I will keep at it as long as it takes, but I am resigned to recovering nothing and also being out the up front retainer fee. Maybe it is just too hard to recover money from the evil scammers, let alone prosecute them.

We understand Mr. Byram's anxiety. The crypto recovery process can indeed be daunting. It requires patience and fortitude. It's easy to dispair, but we assure him that we haven't done so. We see in his file that he has received all of the services that he contarcted from us, and that his case is now being pursued vigorously by an international law firm specializing in cybercrime. We believe that the service that we and the law firm have provided ought to have earned us a much higher rating.

Is this company still in business?

Is this company still in business? My friend made a few inquiries via phone, email, and their website but no one has responded. This is a concern since if they are not responding to inquiries, I wonder how their communication will be after someone becomes a client. The website is working and the phone lines are not disconnected so I guess that's a good sign.

Sandra: Do you think it's fair to give us a 1-star "review" when you don't know anything about us? Yes, we are working. Anyone who completes the contact form on our website will be contacted within three business days if the details of the case meet our criteria. Had you wanted to check you could have inquired on our website, or told your "friend" to do so. By your own admission, moreover, you never had a service relationship with us, and the email address you provided to Trustpilot shows that you have never even contacted us. Your "review," therefore, violates Trustpilot rules and ought to be removed.

This is yet another example of Trustpilot's utter incompetence in filtering out blatant attempts by unprincipled individuals to mislead consumers. Trustpilot's processes are broken, which is why they deleted 30 of our 5-star reviews last year alone while letting spurious fake reviews like this one to remain online. Further proof why consumers cannot depend on it to provide accurate information.

Below, by the way, is the text of the last legitimate 5-star review that Trustpilot deleted:

"If you expect a miracle don't contact MyChargeBack, but if you are conscious about how hard it is to get your money back from a crypto scam you were victim of, I think MyChargeBack is a really great company. I've contacted MyChargeBack about 18 months ago as a victim of a crypto scam. Even if I was initially skeptic about paying for their services (because after losing money in a scam it is really hard to trust again for a virtual service), they convinced me because they gave me everything I've asked for during weeks (documentation, time and a caring-approach). After 1 year working with them I've obtained great results, for example, the personal identifications of my suspected scammers. Yes, it takes TIME but this is not a responsibility of MCB: the processes of investigating through the Blockchain and of understanding how to talk to the Justice System of your country are very complex and require a notable amount of time of the victim side too. That is a truth: if you want good results from MCB, you need to collaborate with them and with the Police in you own city. MCB has been always present, and after 18 months I'm still in contact with them. We are working together with the Prosecutor's National Office of my country right now. We are seeking real results. We are trying to put together another victims like me, to make a bigger voice and to seek bigger results. I still believe I will be able to get my money back, and I know it is not going to be an easy task. In MCB I can count on several professionals who are trying to help me and I think they are doing great. They are real and honest people. You can arrange virtual meetings with them and with the Police of your country: they will be there (they did it for me more than once). Even when obstacles come into the process, I've always found someone from MCB to help me. So, we are still going through this journey that requires patience, because of the nature itself of these kind of scams. I trust MCB and would totally recommend their services to other victims like me who are still suffering the consequences of having lost a big amount of money."

Not Good At Crypto Scams

At first they seemed very helpful and gathered all of the information from me and did their cryoto trace report which cost me over 1700.00 CAN. My local law enforcement was not willing to help but it was stated in the report that Do not worry. Please contact us as we have a worldwide network of law
enforcement that may be able to assist.
That did not happen.
The case was forwarded to the legal department and instead of concentrating on the Exchange were the Crypto was funnelled to Binance attention was given to exchanges leading up to them. Because of this my accounts were closed on my Crypto exchange and I have suffered bank restrictions. I asked for a quote to go after Binance but never did get one. It felt like the Crypto report was never read.
Not very happy with their service.

Kelvin: We have reviewed your entire file, and understand that you are upset with the outcome thus far. First, we note that the external law firm we referred you to is indeed a part of our "worldwide" legal network. They diligently examined your case and designed what they felt to be the best strategy to carry it forward. While the additional action you propose may seem, at first glance, to be viable, the attorneys, who have extensive experience in cases involving crypto, feel otherwise. Considering all the effort we did invest in your case, however, we do believe that speaking to us directly about the continuance of your case would have been more appropriate than submitting a 1-star review.

Almost 3 years and counting

It's been almost 3 years and I still have not been able to recover a cent. My first contact was May 3, 2021. The only case number I have to refer to was the first one given to me when I sent all the information.. case 197010. Last contact at this point was July 20, 2023. MyChargeBack has run a blockchain and apparently they need the police to process a KYC (know your customer) document. The police say it is not their jurisdiction. I've paid MyChargeBack for their service and for legal help. But I'm stuck in a circle. There's nothing they can do!!!! I'm so disappointed.

UPDATE:
On Mar 6, 2024 I received a call from Samuel Fainsod, of the Crypto and Cyber Forensic Investigation Department at MyChargeBack. He has been assigned to my case and we think there may be a path forward that has not yet been tried. I’m happy to see some progress on my case. Thanks for giving me some hope again.

I hired them to help me recover from a…

I hired them to help me recover from a crypto scam, I lost 48k, paid them like 4k or so, and the report they provided was inaccurate, they did not even get the exchange correct.

The reply below is correct, they did address my concerns and admit the initial report was inaccurate and then used a different system, I will remove part of the review, but keep it one star until I see some results.
What is not accurate once again is that they are doing me a favor by linking me with an attorney, that was part of the sales pitch from the beginning. Long story short be very careful with this company they are very good at manipulating situations. The fact the initial report was wrong and the police tracked it properly should be worthy of a refund on its face, but no offer has been made. That being said I would still recommend to call the police first, and make sure you know that this service doesn’t guarantee you will recover anything, and expect to receive nothing in return for your hard earned money. I will update the review when the process moves along, but I have resigned to the fact that I got scammed twice once with the crypto, second with this companies ultra aggressive sales people making false promises

Additionally,
I have never said I was satisfied, infact I am anything but satisfied, my opinion has gotten worse after thinking through how they reacted quickly once I made a honest and true review, and to see them twist the situation to insinuate that I am satisfied is more proof of how they manipulate and distort the truth, I am again back to my opinion they are wolves in sheep clothing, and recommend to never use this company for crypto analysis.

MyChargeBack's Customer Satisfaction Department asked our Crypto Team to review the client's case again in light of his comment that the report was "inaccurate" and that we "did not even get the exchange correct." Using the input data we had available at the time, we repeated the blockchain investigation using the same software. We found that it was indeed conducted properly and that it showed that the client's cryptocurrency was traced to the exchange we had previously identified. After we sent our report to the client, however, additional input became available. When fed into a different software it led to a different conclusion and identified a different exchange. That is an atypical scenario to be sure, but it is no reason to conclude that we "prey on hopeless people with just another scam." To demonstrate to the client that we are not "wolves in sheep's clothing," however, we have, at no additional expense, transferred his file to an international law firm specializing in cybercrime, which will pursue his claim against the owner of the cash-out wallet. The client has agreed to this step and has informed us that he is now satisfied with the service he is receiving.

Can't Help You Much These Guys

I am giving this company 2 stars and not 1 because they did do something, even though it led to nothing. Several years ago I had a life emergency and I had to move so my case is no longer active. They did trace where my crypto was sent to. However, Binance doesn't care at all. No surprise. Here is the cherry on top. They tell you to file a police report. Go to your local police station and tell them about your crypto sitting in another country and that you want to file a police report. See how that works out.

MyChargeBack will tell you they can't do anything without a police report. It's like a magic piece of paper. And they will be so shocked that the police and Binance will not help at all. Yes, I am a real customer. If they respond that they have never heard of me it's not true. As I said I had a life emergency and I couldn't follow up so this is some time back. But so what? We hit a dead end. The initial fee all gone. Telling me they worked hard to help me is no good when it leads to nothing am I right?

I did tell them that I need to take a break from my efforts due to my life emergency and they were more than happy to stop working on the case and keep my initial fee. Since as you all can see, there is still no response from MyChargeBack, my contact was EVAN.

By the way, MyChargeBack also has a youtube channel. I complained about them there too.

Update: I have been asked more information, likely since the case is a couple years old. I can also send my them copies of my emails to prove that I am a real client. I am not going to come here and talk about a company I have never done business with. Come on.

Kenneth: Due to our ironclad commitment to client confidentiality, we cannot comment publicly about the particulars of a case until and unless we first verify that the review has indeed been posted by a client. We have, therefore, asked you to verify your identity via Trustpilot. We also note that your review, as all can see, was posted on Friday evening after we closed our offices for the weekend, which explains why there has been no response from Evan. MyChargeBack clients are always encouraged, therefore, to contact their case agents directly at any time via our Client Portal.

Update on Monday, January 22: We thank Kenneth for verifying his identity. We require verification because more than 600 spam reviews have been posted on this page by unethical competitors, scammers, and imposters. While most were eventually deleted by Trustpilot upon our request, they have included fake reviews posted by the very same individuals who scammed our clients, who presume that we will provide them with confidential information about them. Come on Kenneth, we're vigilant for your own protection.

Our Customer Satisfaction Department will now review Kenneth's file and respond when once that process has been completed.

Update on Monday, January 29: Kenneth: We thank you for confirming for us your current phone number and location in the U.S., since a review of your file shows that the last time we heard from you you were residing in Saudi Arabia. As you know, we provided you with your CryptoTrace Report on November 10, 2020, with instructions to present our findings to the police upon filing a criminal complaint against the crypto exchange we identified. On April 15, 2021 you notified us that you were returning to the U.S. and that "I will try and file a case with Officer Potter when I arrive. Filing a case her [sic] was a dead end." Unfortunately, you never provided us with a new U.S. phone number or address or confirm whether you had filed a complaint with the police following your relocation. Moreover, your previous Saudi phone number was reassigned to someone else, so when we called we were told that the number was not yours. Even though our contract expired six months after you were onboarded as a client, we would be pleased to reopen your case and, should it be necessary, speak with the police officer assigned to your case where you now reside in order to facilitate a subpoena for the KYC data that is required to move forward. We have tried to call you at your new U.S. number twice over the past week but you either were unable to speak with us or did not answer.

We are sorry to read Trevor's post because we believe that it was based on a series of misunderstandings.

First, Trevor contracted three separate services from us on October 30: a CryptoTrace report, a Cyber Intelligence Report, and a Bank Wire Recall. Each has to progress on its own timetable.

Second, we cannot begin to work on any case until we receive all the requisite documents from the client. And no, we did not have all of Trevor's paperwork for six weeks. In fact, we still lack one document.

Third, our Documentation Team emailed Trevor on November 7, one week after he was onboarded, informing him precisely what documents he would be required to submit. That means in just six business days we were able to determine what precise documentation we required. In that sense, his case could indeed have been considered to be "coming along nicely."

Fourth, upon receiving that email, Trevor inadvertently forwarded a number of documents to our Customer Satisfaction Department, rather than uploading them directly into his file using our Client Portal or emailing them to our Documentation Team. That resulted in a delay in transmission. In any event, a few vital bits of information were still missing at that point, and we could not progress until they were received. Therefore, our Documentation Team emailed him again on November 9 informing him what that missing information was and how to obtain it from the crypto exchange. Unfortunately, Trevor did not immediately respond, so we emailed him five additional times through November 27. Instead of providing us with the missing information, however, Trevor sent us an email on December 6 in which he prioritized the services and two more on December 17 demanding "proof" that we had already contacted the parties that we could not contact without the information he had not yet provided. So our Documentation Team emailed him on December 18 asking to speak with him in order to clarify this matter, and one day later we were able to notify him that all the necessary information to proceed with his CryptoTrace and Cyber Intelligence Report had finally been received. We are therefore now working on those two services.

Fifth, Trevor was notified on December 18 that he still has to provide one additional signed statement in order to enable us to proceed with his wire recall, which is the third and final service he contracted. ***THIS EXPLAINS WHY WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROCEED WITH HIS WIRE RECALL. IT IS HIS INATTENTION TO THIS MATTER THAT IS TO BLAME*** We are always ready to provide our clients with proof of work, but to do so we first require their cooperation in providing us with the documents they are contractually obliged to submit!

Finally, the dates on which our fees are to be paid are agreed upon in advance and specified in the Statement of Work that clients, including Trevor, of course, sign upon being onboarded.

Forex scam

Forex scam: MyChargeBack: A website that promises wonders but a low-end service that is limited to provide you a standard letter for your bank, a "Cyber Intelligence Report" without interest and nothing exploitable whose writing takes more than four months and at the end of the process the proposal to transmit the file to an exotic and unknown law firm in an unusual location. Conclusion: An unnecessary and sterile expense and false hopes!

MyChargeBack is not a forex scam. We are not a forex broker or any other type of broker. We do not offer investments of any kind. Obviously, Gilbert does not understand what the services are that we do provide and, in fact, provided to him.

We reviewed his complete file and have found that he was provided with all of the services specified in our Statement of Work, which he signed. Specifically, these services were a bank wire recall and a Cyber Intelligence Report.

His bank was unable to process the wire recall and refund the money he wired to the merchant because no funds remained in the merchant's account. We did not accept that as a valid excuse for the bank not to reimburse him. For that reason, we requested his permission to transfer his case -- without any additional cost -- to a EU law firm that specializes in cybercrime in order to appeal the bank's decision to the relevant regulator and/or ombudsman. Regrettably, Gilbert has yet to agree to proceed.

Second, we sense that Gilbert misunderstood the purpose of our Cyber Intelligence Report. It is not a recovery service. It is a compilation of research that identifies the individuals who own and run the beneficiary firm. The information it contains is indeed useful because it will assist the attorneys in proving to the regulator and/or ombudsman that the bank was negligent in agreeing to wire money to beneficiaries engaged in illegal financial activities. If that can be proven, the regulator and/or ombudsman will be held liable for Gilbert's loss and ordered to refund him.

We urge Gilbert, therefore, to reconsider his refusal to move his case to the attorneys. He is only punishing himself by not doing so.

I am looking into using this company

I am looking into using this company, so I was going over reviews and have to say that the response team is the most thorough I have ever seen. The way you take the time and effort to set the negative reviews straight with facts is impressive. Is there anyway to receive an email stating how your program works? What I will need to pay upfront? Alphabulltrades.com currently has my funds because I made a huge mistake. However I am leading them on like everything is OK hoping I can at least hold them accountable for other people not to fall in this trap?

Good experience

Although, mychargeback wasn't able to assist me in recovering the funds, the agent Ben was honest and very helpful with suggestions and recommendation on what can be useful in my own efforts (which I already started) to resolve the issue. I apricate Ben's wiliness to help.

Terrible service

Terrible service
My case manager is defensive, slow, and constantly denies what she has said earlier. They have delivered on one third of what they are supposed to deliver. I have stopped paying them until they do their job.
Here is what their response is going to be: your case was complex and we did everything in our power blah blah blah. No they have not and I can prove it
I encourage you to be careful dealing with this company.

Indeed Erik, yours truly is a complex case because the police have declined to act on it. As we have previously explained, our next step is to refer your case to a team of specialized attorneys. We regret any misunderstanding you had regarding the inclusion of legal services in our contract, but now understand that has been resolved to your satisfaction, and the matter has been transferred to the lawyers.

They explained exactly what I had…

They explained exactly what I had thought was true, the scammer I dealt with was very persuasive and made me feel at ease while I was dealing with them. I had my little voice in the back of my mind that said watch out this is too good to be true, and thank's to my little voice I didn't take any more of a loss than I did because it was exactly that, too good to be true. And by the way my name is Larry Russell not Kathy (my former wife passed away in 2020)

White Glove Treatment

White Glove Treatment. This company is all hands on deck. They're responsive, actively reaching out as the process of finding lost funds is being pursued. I'm still working with them and just received an incredibly well-prepared report of what happened to me behind the curtains with regard to the scam to which I fell prey.

This makes the work of any detective complete, as they have everything they need on hand. With so many scams occurring post-pandemic, I would highly recommend anyone who has suffered a financial loss to work with the folks at MyChargeBack, as they are there for those who really need them. The regular, middle class, who are largely ignored by the police due to the massive amount of fraud being perpetrated on the public.

These people are incredible. As a customer/client, I've never been so seen and helped, and it's been a huge encouragement through one of the most difficult times of my life.
