MyChargeBack firmly believes that an open, free platform allowing consumers to share their experiences with service providers is a vital asset for any business. For us, it provides access to feedback that we might otherwise not receive. And we genuinely appreciate all legitimate comments that have been posted here, both positive and negative, because they have allowed us to resolve outstanding issues, improve our products and services and better serve our clients. Unfortunately, however, Trustpilot is a thoroughly unreliable platform for consumers who wish to determine the reliability of a merchant. The algorithms developed by its anonymous and unresponsive "Content Integrity Team" are poorly designed and, as a result, regularly delete legitimate 5-star reviews submitted by real consumers who have had genuine service-related experiences. For example, in 2023 alone, Trustpilot removed approximately 30 such 5-star reviews from our page. MyChargeBack would be pleased to provide copies of those deleted but legitimate reviews to anyone who asks. In addition, due to certain ambiguities in Trustpilot rules, many fake reviews posted by spammers, scammers, hackers, and competitors remain online, even though its so-called "Content Integrity Team" does claim it attempts to interdict them. As of August 30, 2022, Trustpilot had removed 551 fake reviews that were on this page, a full 70% more than those that remained. We are not the only ones who have noted Trustpilot's erratic policies. Indeed, similar observations have been posted on Trustpilot’s own Trustpilot page. Unfortunately, we have to conclude that the wide gaps in Trustpilot’s platform create an opportunity for those with ulterior motives to mislead potential and current clients. Instead of assisting consumers in making an educated decision whether to use our services, they may be left confused. Trustpilot is a discredited source. The constant monitoring and attempt at managing fake reviews, of course, requires a substantial commitment of time and manpower. Trustpilot's institutional negligence forces us to undertake that commitment in order to ensure as much as possible that the comments posted are legitimate. If you are a consumer who does seek informed advice about MyChargeBack, we have former clients worldwide who would be happy to share their real experience with you. If you would like to schedule a meeting or follow-up with someone on our team, please register directly on our website. Whether you chose to work with MyChargeBack or not, we wish you much success. And if you, like us, are a vendor, you are best advised to beware Trustpilot and opt to cooperate with one of its more dependable competitors instead.

FAKE

I believe mycharge back are not honest, they might be existing as offices but their contract is built in a way that to trick clients and make them believe they can return back their money. i have went through majority of the reviews and the funny part is that we all share the same story and ideas and mycharge back have the same replies, and majority showing bad review while mycharge back shows majority excellent so how come?
i had lost 400K$ and now its been almost 4 years and mycharge back are giving fake information and im aware that they cant do anything at all but i thought sharing my review can help others not to fall in the same trap i did.

Indeed, Mr. Sadek had wired $400,000 from two separate banks to an unlicensed cryptocurrency broker and his case has been continuing for almost three years. That is not due to our negligence but rather the legal process. We are pursuing cases for even a longer period of time, because we invest 100% of our effort on behalf of every client, including Mr. Sadek.

MyChargeBack provided Mr. Sadek with all the services he contracted, including a Cyber Intelligence Report, a bank recall and the engagement of a law firm, which sent a 10-page legal demand letter to the broker. After we initiated the bank recall, however, the law firm's investigators found that the broker was a straw company. But they did manage to verify one of its real corporate owners. The attorney then escalated the case to the Bulgarian financial regulator by submitting a 21-page brief. In January, the Bulgarian attorney notified Mt. Sadek that his case is ongoing and "is already in the pre-court stage and is likely to land in court."

With regard to Mr. Sadek's allegations about our contract, which he signed and presumably read on August 16, 2019, we refer him to Paragraph 7, which states, inter alia, "The Company does not make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from your use of its services;" to Schedule A, which states, inter alia, "The final result of any dispute is decided by the issuing and acquiring banks according to their internal policies and the Card Network Schemes;" and to Schedule B, which states, inter alia, "The Client further agrees that although the Company has the expertise and experience to assist in funds recovery, inter alia the net of all purchases minus all refunds, the final decision on how much and whether funds are recovered is outside of its control."

Certainly, if we were able to do so, we would expedite the resolution of this case. But it is now in the hands of the Bulgarian judicial system and, even though the wait is agonizing, we have no alternative other than to be patient.

Case : 236394

On Feb 13 I made a review saying I made a police report 2 months ago. Till date, I’m still stuck with this report as my case office is not being able to contact the police officer(who works 40 hours every week) till today 15 June 2022.

Please tell me what am I suppose to do as it’s been almost 10 months that I’m patiently waiting with no progress in my case.
Thank You!

Ali: As we have informed you, we have reviewed your file and found that we have provided all of the services that we were obliged to in our contract. As you know, the next step was for you to submit our report to your local police department, which you have done. Unfortunately, they have not yet responded. We understand your disappointment with them, but their inaction does not make us liars or a scam.

Hey can I ask how the case be delivered to a police officer in the UK?
Does the company know any police officer in the UK or I will be given a KYC report and asked to send it myself to action fraud?

Mustafa: We do not have any record of you as a MyChargeBack client. But the short answer is that yes, you would have to submit the report to the police in order to file a criminal complaint. We cannot do that for our clients since we do not have power of attorney for that purpose. We do have an ongoing dialogue with police cybercrime units in the UK (and elsewhere) and liaise with them on behalf of our clients once the case is opened.

No results

Please do not trust this company as they cannot help you getting anything from the scammers. I paid them more than a year ago and besides asking me to chase my bank that keeps rejecting my request for a chargeback as the bank claims it was properly done transaction, the company has done nothing. They are quick to collect your money but slow to provide results. IF you were scammed by FXCT investments or any other online trading platforms, you should consider engaging a lawyer to assist, not mychargeback!!

Scam.
First they call You from a US telephone number.
Second call is from hacked phone number from Sweden.
Person present him self as "Lisa Sofer"
She ask 2500 EUR in advance start "working" on the case.
Absolute SCAM.
Avoid them at all costs.

This is an answer on their reply.
"Lisa Sofer" called me twice. First several days before from an US number, after that from a swedish number asking for the money in advance no more no less than 2500 eur.
Swedish number is not registed on any company is Sweden.
I repeat and confirm. They are SCAM.

Zeljko: MyChargeBack maintains offices on four continents and, therefore, our representatives (and clients) can call a number of different telephone numbers in a number of different countries. Why should a client in, say, Croatia, spend money to call New York when he can call Sweden instead? (And, by the way Zeljko, with internet telephony a company does not have to be registered in Sweden to acquire a Swedish telephone number! You are best advised to inquire about such things before drawing incorrect conclusions!) We believe that convenience should be appreciated, rather than erroneously be ascribed as proof of a "scam." And yes, we require an upfront fee (which varies with the service contracted) in order to accept a case. That is standard procedure for all professionals, including, for example, attorneys, accountants and private investigators. Again, that is no reason to conclude that we are a "scam." And yes, Lisa Sofer is indeed a real person and a female. We would also remind you that we are a member of the American Bankers Association, and our UK office is licensed by the highly respected UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority. That would be impossible if we were a "scam." You owe us an apology.

Bad Reviews Get Responses?

Apparently the best way to get a return call or assistance is through a poor review. I explained that my local police department has very little experience with crypto crimes and asked repeatedly for assistance and it took 2 weeks for a response and a terse answer from George, the man who happily took my money for the services. I went from filing a police report to filing a FOIL request to obtain the police report and still crickets from MY CHARGEBACK. A little help would be nice.

An absolute scam

An absolute scam. They take forever asking for the same information for months. They cost $1500 USD and even have me make a police report only to ghost me. They do not respond to emails at all now. So there initial promise and guarantee to me was absolute garbage. Do not trust them.

But your response leaves out some facts. I did in fact sign a power of attorney for you and you claimed that threatening to file a suit against them often causes them to pay. You never said you do not recovery cryptocurrency at all, in fact it is the main premise of your business. As for the police you indicated the report was necessary in order to obtain the KYC information, in fact you gave me copies of the letters you claimed to send to the 2 platforms where the funds were withdrawn. So you now claim all that was not a scam as you are now claiming the opposite.

You made claims all along that you knew were not true. You said YOU could get my money back but then changed that to blame the local police saying they needed to do it. You are a scam!

Leonard: An absolute scam? We have reviewed your case file and found that we provided to you all the services that you contracted. To remind you, our CryptoTrace service provides you with the evidence that you need to enable your local police to obtain a subpoena demanding the KYC data from the cryptocurrency exchanges hosting the wallets into which your coins were deposited. The CryptoTrace report we prepared was sent to you on December 20 of last year. It documented the path your crypto took from the point of origin to the wallet at which it was cashed out. The same day we sent you an email in which we explained that you have to submit our report directly to your local police for the simple reason that only you can file a criminal complaint in your name -- we have no comprehensive power of attorney for that purpose. (The power of attorney you signed was solely to enable our lawyer to send legal demand letters in your name to the exchange hosting the wallet we identified.) We also mentioned in that email that we are available and ready to communicate directly with your local police officer to ensure that he knows what he now has to do to pursue your crypto, and, in fact, emailed him on March 10 and again on March 25. Thus far we have not received his response. There is no reason why your local police cannot proceed as outlined above and, if necessary, initiate legal action. We remain ready to assist your local police on your behalf and suggest that you keep us informed accordingly.

In reply to the updated review:

MyChargeBack does not and cannot promise to recover funds in advance. We refer you to the Terms and Conditions of your contract, which you signed on November 11, 2011:

Paragraph 2 states, inter alia, that MyChargeBack is "not a law firm or private investigation firm, but rather acts as agent for their clients who are desirous of receiving fund recovery services, including preparation of case files, and sourcing legal and private investigative services. Where a law firm is engaged on your behalf, including for
legal demand letters, negotiation and litigation against a Merchant, you will be required to sign a power of
attorney and/or engagement letter agreement with the law firm."

Paragraph 9 states, inter alia, that MyChargeBack "DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM YOUR USE OF ITS SERVICES" (original in capitals).

Mark: When people contact us and we believe they can win a chargeback on their own, we tell them they can. Victims of fraud -- meaning the unauthorized use of a credit or debit card -- almost always can obtain a chargeback on their own as long as the request is filed before the deadline for doing so. What we at MyChargeBack do is assist cardholders obtain chargebacks for authorized transactions, something else entirely. Chargebacks for authorized transactions are subject to stringent rules and regulations that consumers (and even many banks) are unfamiliar with and, therefore, require our assistance.

Probably scam or bad service

Looks like these guys are having a very high chance to be scammers... Why so?

First of all, I found their Ad on a Scammer Website: scammedbroker.com - this website promotes them.

After some research, it was clear that scammedbroker.com - provide false information about different websites just to keep your attention (obviously we don’t want to be scammed and believe in such stuff), and when you are “cooked” starting to trust them they are promoting to you ADs/banners which lead to scam websites where you can lose your money, etc.

Such a perfect show!

On every new “page with the website” they post - 1 same video of “scammed man”, the same information for every website, and at the same time - they add ADs to another websites - where you can buy cryptocurrency, etc.

When you click on those ads, they redirect you to a typical scam website...

Next, after I got hooked on a few of their websites (banners they promoting), I found also a MyChargeBack banner and I clicked...

Obviously, I become suspicious about this service too. And decided to check their website more.

I decide to “test” and talk with them in the chat to receive free advice from the lost money of 50$.

The “chatbot” asked millions of questions and information. In the end, when they realise I lost a small amount, they said that they are not reviewing cases under 250$. And meanwhile, service is unavailable.

Seems like I am not their client. Why? They want you to pay quite a big Fee for “their fake service”, so obviously if you lost not a big amount of money, you will not pay a fee to them, which makes you not an interesting “client.

I started to google more and found that many people (from different countries) complained, that Mychargeback.com - took their money and did not provide a service.

Basically, they say they will help you to get your money back, but before any steps, or reviewing your case, etc. you should pay the Fee. If you do not pay - fu*k off.

If you pay - they take your money and do nothing.

Pay pay pay...

I just had a chat with them and I can’t say (from my personal experience) that they took my money and are 100% Scam. But will I use it? - my answer is no!

Why? Because I checked reviews of other people on google and here on the Trustpilot and they have been struggling with this service.
And Mychargeback.com promoting their Ads on a Scam website named: scammedbroker.com - which is definitely a HUGE RED flag!
Even more that site has dedicated pages for MyChargeBack... and the same chat. So, maybe it’s the same owners?

Anyway, you decide, who are they scammers or just bad service. But I would stay away from this.

My main reason for writing this review is that I really hate scammers, and this service is very suspicious and we need to pay attention to such stuff!

Ms. Nyugen: MyChargeBack was meeting our contracted obligations to you until you broke the services contract you signed with us.

Regarding the provision of our services, you signed your contract with us on June 8 and received our CryptoTrace report on July 29. Beginning on August 17, our Director of Crypto Investigations attempted to intervene on your behalf with the officer and detective assigned to your case at your local police department. The next day you advised us by email that "its [sic] difficult to reach them," which was indeed true, although we did exchange emails with the officer a day after that and would certainly have been able to communicate at length with him by now had you not taken unilateral action on your own.

What we did not know while we were working on your behalf was that on August 20 you violated the terms of your contract. Once we were informed, further coordination with your police, as well as your dedicated legal case and Crypto Intelligence Report, were put on hold. Our Director of Crypto Investigations notified you of that in an email he sent to you on August 30.

Under ordinary circumstances, we would be willing to resume work on your behalf, however, given the above-described circumstances and your breach of contract, we must conclude all activity now.
