Atto Sport Scooter review

Hi
Drew came out to us to do a demo of the Atto Sport mobility Scooter
He was fully informative, didn’t do the hard sell (which my husband and I hate) but answered all of our questions about the scooter.
He was considerate of our thoughts/feelings as well as being friendly and kind.
The Scooter itself is a bit more expensive but was of superior quality (to what we had viewed in mobility shops), plus, it looks great and I was able to drive it easily build and collapse easily and the scooter is Airline compliant/approved! What more do you need.
We obviously ordered it and ordered several extras to go onto it. A travel bag/thicker seat cushion/scooter carry bag (to go onto the plane)/walking stick holders. All of which we were extremely happy with too, as they are of superior quality also!
Thanks Drew can’t wait to be mobile!

A truly fantastic day to view the Atto Sport.

A truly fantastic day. As soon as you walk into the Movinglife showroom in Milton Keynes, you can't help but be very impressed by the Atto Sport Mobility Scooter.

Drew showed us the performance of the Atto Sport, as well as how to convert it to its various states. We came armed with many customer questions and everyone of them was satisfactorily answered. All the available extras were on display and added to our purchase, where required.

I cannot recommend this scooter enough.

ATTO folding mobility…

We bought the ATTO folding mobility scooter about 3 weeks ago for my wife. I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first. But TBH, I can’t stop using it. It’s modern and easy to use. Fits perfectly in my car boot.

Really excellent scooters

Really excellent scooters. This is my third ATTO, Sport - (with Shabbat mode). The atto scooters are extremely sturdy. I have been using them for approximately nine or 10 years .They are also pretty robust. I love that I have bright lights on mine and horn and cruise control. Many people tell me they like the look of the scooter. I have taken my scooter down some steep and uneven surfaces. I can manage to fold my scooter up, but it is quite heavy for me. The scooter does come apart, but you should ensure you are able to get it into the car, before you buy it. I have a hoist which I find absolutely invaluable, which picks up my scooter and puts it into the car. The best thing about the scooter is that it does not take up much space when it is folded up. I take mine when I travel and it’s never a problem. The lithium battery is very light and small, and I take it out and put it by my feet on any flight. If you are going to travel, the padded travel bag is also invaluable. They are not gentle when they move the scooter at airports. If my dog is ever unable to walk, I look forward to getting the special accessory to put him in, for the scooter. These scooters over the last 10 years have been a lifeline for me and I am very very thankful to the people who designed them in Israel.

MovingLife EZY EXPLORER Electric Wheelchair

I have had the wheelchair for a week now & it really suits my disability as I have nerve damage to my upper right arm & upper right leg. So I can’t walk very far at all & I can’t lift anything with my right arm.
I am truly amazed with this electric wheelchair I have had electric wheelchair’s in the past which are super heavy & I needed a WAV (Wheelchair Access Vehicle) in order to use an electric wheelchair. But not anymore the Carbon Fibre EZY EXPLORER wheelchair only weighs 14.8kg with the battery and 14kg with out the battery, which is easily removed.
In my opinion this will suit anyone’s needs as it is really easy to fold & unfold please see videos of me getting the wheelchair out & in my car even with my disability I can use the chair easily and it has given me my freedom back, it’s very easy to use anywhere as you can eat out with ease with this chair as you can see in the photo, for me with very long legs as I am 6ft 4” tall all I do is lift up the foot plate so I can put my feet on the floor & move the controller back, I can easily fit under a normal table to eat in any restaurant & the wheelchair is super monoverable to get into the hardest of places. Plus it’s super affordable in my opinion. So get your freedom back with the EZY EXPLORER from MovingLife.

Very Expensive repair

Hi, I bought the Atto Sports for my wife in November 2022 and she was more than pleased with its performance, both on the public pathway and in and around shopping malls.
Last Month, March 2025 whilst on holiday I found that the scooter would not start up, i.e. did not turn on. I checked the battery was charged which it was and subsequently phoned Moving Life for assistance. After having no luck with resolving the problem I booked an engineer visit.

On taking the scooter to the Moving Life engineer at their service point and on inspection it was found that the motor control board was defective. The engineer changed the component and everything worked as it should.

The reason for the low score on my review is the actual cost to the repair, considering the scooter had not had a great deal of use, the engineer agreed it was still like new, the cost of the part was £555.09 excluding vat (labour was an agreeable £40). The manual states it should give a 10 year service life, but here I was with a scooter which was only 2 1/2 years old, had a continual use of approximately 4 months over the period and which had been looked after with great care, used only occasionally and stored in the dry and never used in bad weather and yet the main control had suddenly and without cause failed.

So beware that, yes it is an excellent scooter in use, but be prepared to pay what I consider an exorbitant price for any parts that could fail at any time.

My Alto Sport

The compact nature of my Moving Life, Alto Sport makes it an absolute essential when I am travelling. Folding into the size of a suitcase, with its 10 mile range and security with the locking tab.
Don't forget the padded travel cover to protect during transport. My latest trip to Lanzarote was a joy being able to get around Puerto Del Carmen with ease.

Very good experience with the customers service. I bought ATTO Folding Sun & Rain Canopy. The small issue is with the canopy itself because it takes time to put it on the scooter and take it off because I am disabled so for me it is a bit difficult. However the material is very high quality and when put it on it looks stylish 🥰

Love my Atto scooter; the right one for me!

I bought my Atto scooter to take to Sicily last May as our group visit with my Italian class was going to involve visits to cities and also to extensive archaeological sites. It was brilliant. Easy to negotiate through the airports at both ends where the staff were very good at putting it on the plane at the last minute and getting it back to me as soon as I got off. It folds very compactly to transport like a pull along suitcase and I had bought a protective cover for transportation. The scooter was brilliant every where I went, from the cobbled streets of Palermo to the uneven terrain at Agrigento. Good ground clearance helped here. And also indoors at Casa Reale, the remains of a Roman villa with amazing mosaics. The manoeuvrability of the scooter was fantastic, helped by the fact that it is a three-wheeler (a bit of upper body strength and agility is needed, which I have; it's my knees that don't work well. Back in the UK, my Atto gets regular use around and about, especially now I have had one knee replaced and I can't walk far yet. Plenty of range in the lithium battery; I haven't pushed its capacity to the limit and it is easy to remove from under one of the footrests for charging. Wish I’d found them years ago

Moving Life are, simply, life changing. The ATTO Sport has given me the confidence to go out; I can fly with it, go to the shops, take my kid to the swings. The people have been patient and understanding as I come to terms with my needs, and helpful to a fault. After care service is great too - I booked a service and they gave me a ‘loaner’; a problem with the armrest was fixed quickly and on site with no questions asked, under guarantee. Wish I’d found them, and the ATTO, years ago. 10/10 would recommend

Had a fantastic demo given by Drew yesterday at MK show room. I had to find a solution to be more mobile as I am going on a cruise with my sister soon and want to be able to enjoy all the cities we will be visiting, which is not a possibility without aid.
After scrolling the internet I found your advert, WOW I watched it and was so impressed I knew the search was over . And it gets better, you are based in Milton Keynes, easy to get to for me.
My ATTO sport plus accessories will arrive Monday, can’t wait.
Brilliant advertising Movinglife just the ticket , thank you Drew for all your help and advice making my purchase experience great.

Unsafe

I had an Atto Classic and was very pleased with it, so much that I thought the Atto Sport would be better. Not so. I didn’t use it for a while as I now have shopping delivered, but when I started to use it I felt very unsafe. It wasn’t as stable as the old one and in spite of the claim that the brakes engage to stop it rolling backwards they do not engage quickly enough, even on an indoor slope that is barely noticeable. The front wheel spins when trying to mount the wheelchair specific crossing points on roads. I reported this all to the dealer who wanted a video as the guarantee was out by a couple of months (if it had been a standared EU guarantee of two years it would have been well within time.) It’s not possible to video a journey outside and so I just had to put up with it. Now it is even more unstable, I have been in danger of tipping right over on driveways, and the front wheel spins intermittently on normal paving. There is also a very dangerous issue with the tendency to topple in trolley mode. Yes, there is a sticker, but that doesn’t make it safer. Two months ago the trolley did tip forcing the stand into my leg. The whole of my leg was brusied from foot to knee, a large haematoma developed and I had a deep hole in my leg -half an inch deep and 3”x2”, which has been classified as a ulcer requiring professional dressing twice a week, and additional visits to a specialist clinic necessary, with a prognosis of several months more to heal.
I never experienced any of these problems with the classic, and am extremely sorry I wasted my money on this one.

Hi Janice,

We’re sorry to hear you’re not satisfied with your ATTO Sport scooter. We understand your frustration, but it appears you purchased it from a third party, not directly from us. All our scooters come with a 2-year warranty to give our customers peace of mind.

That said, we’d like to assist you if we can. Please get in touch with us directly, and we’ll do our best to help resolve the issues you’re experiencing.

It’s also worth noting that, aside from added features like speed, lights, cruise control, and ergonomics, the original ATTO you were happy with and the Sport model are essentially the same scooter, so there shouldn’t be any significant difference in your experience.

Regarding the ATTO trolley mode, it’s important to note that this mode is intended for pulling the scooter along behind you. For safe storage, the scooter should be taken out of trolley mode. This information is detailed in the handbook supplied with the scooter.

We hope we can help you enjoy your scooter as much as you did with the classic.

Best regards,

Helen

Atto sport safety issue: We bought the Atto sport for my wife at…

We bought the Atto sport for my wife at the end of April 2024, as compact nature of the scooter and the ability to take on aircraft was perfect for travel. The operation of the scooter and the folding design is very good, but the sport model has a major design issue which is extremely dangerous and I found to my detriment.
Whilst still getting used to operating the scooter my wife inadvertently jumped forward and over my foot, this alone did not cause any injury, but the sport model has a front disc brake which is not guarded and very close to the ground. As the wheel hit my foot the disc brake sliced through the top of my foot acting like a meat slice. I required immediate medical attention then hospital A&E treatment resulting in 12 stitches to my right foot.
Moving Life had asked for a review of our new scooter, when I told them what had happened, they removed the review from their site. They haven’t even had the decency to contact me to obtain any further information on how they could possibly reduce the severe hazard let alone any interest on my well being.
Not a great experience!!!!

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I am truly sorry to hear about your incident, and I take all customer feedback seriously. Please accept my sincere apologies for any distress this accident has caused.

We were unaware of your issue until this review. Since then, Philip has been in contact with you to better understand the details and address your concerns promptly.

With over 30,000 ATTO Sports sold, this is the first time I, as the UK General Manager, have encountered such a case. However, this does not mean it won’t be investigated . The safety of our customers and those around them is paramount.

I have escalated this to our company CEO, who has confirmed that we will be exploring the possibility of the development of a guard or cover to minimise the risk of injury to anyone who may be unfortunate enough to be run into by the scooter.

Regarding the removal of your review, we do not shy away from negative feedback, and this was certainly not our intention.

These reviews are checked for authenticity and spam, and negative reviews are supposed to be directed to our CRM for customer contact.

I have raised a support ticket with the company that manages this process & I will update you once I have resolved the issue.

Once again, I am sorry this happened.

Best regards,

Steven

Wonderful customer service

Dear Helen,

I am so very grateful for all your help and support as I was investigating and buying my AttoSport. I absolutely love it! The kindness and understanding you showed me as I made up my mind was so helpful and supportive and made my decision so much easier. I am so grateful to both you and Craig for all your help and support.

The scooter is everything I hoped for and has already (just a week later) opened up my life again. I hadn’t realised how much I missed just getting some fresh air and going and sorting a few things out in town has become so very much quicker and easier.

When not in use, the scooter sits happily in compact mode in my (small) hallway and it is so very quick and easy to unfold ready for use, whilst the ability to split the compact form makes it a doddle to get in and out of my car. It really is everything I wanted!

Again, I am so very grateful for all your help and kindness. You are a fantastic asset to MovingLife but on a selfish note, even more important to me!

With very best wishes

Fiona

A quality life changer

Morning Helen,

Trust all good with you. I got a text about your sales event.

May I say that since we took took possession of our Atto Sport it has provided my wife with absolute confidence which has changed our lives.

We have taken the scooter everywhere. It’s the best thing I’ve ever purchased for my wife.

We have been on six holidays and every time we have taken the scooter on the flight.

We provide details of the battery when checking in online because the airline require evidence that the battery complies with their strict criteria.

We take the scooter to the aircraft door where I remove the battery to keep with us in the cabin. The body of the scooter is placed in the hold.

At the end of the flight we request the scooter be made available when we land. On each occasion this system has worked. Seamless!

We still use ‘Special Assistance’ who take us to the aircraft to ensure we get priority getting to the aircraft door.

The compact size is amazing. Easy to take apart and put together. Goes into my Ford Fiesta no problem.

It is heavy but extremely well made. It is sturdy and the controls are easy to negotiate.

It also goes up inclines with ease.

In my opinion the fitted cushion is a must as it’s a bit of an uncomfortable ride without.

After sales I’d excellent.

Rating 5 star.

If you want to share this with anyone you’d be very welcome. I’d be happy to receive any emails from prospective customers although I’d rather not be inundated.

I hope this of use.

Kind regards

John

A very satisfactory purchase with great customer service…

I recently purchased an Atto scooter from this company and it has been a very positive transaction in all respects. The scooter itself is an amazing piece of engineering and robustly constructed. Another buyer describes it as Rolls Royce and I would endorse that view.
What is also “Rolls Royce “ rated is the service provided by the company. Both Helen, who has been my office contact throughout, and Michael the engineer who delivered and demonstrated the scooter have been helpful, and informative, and provided a high level of customer service.
I am therefore very pleased with my purchase and also with the feeling that the company will be there as required for support if necessary in the future.

We have had our Atto for 5 years

We have had our Atto for 5 years. It is amazing. We have done all sorts of stuff, been over to Europe, used it all over the UK.

Had it on the Isle of Man 2 weeks ago.

My wife began being ill in 2018 and she has used it virtually every day since.

It is amazingly compact. We are car nuts and it fits in amazingly small cars. Her daily drive is a Toyota Aygo – stands up like a suitcase in there.

We have had 3 different Mazda MX5’s sports cars and fit no problem in the boot.

We had a Porsche boxster and it fit in the ‘two boots’ half in each, along with enough luggage for a 2 week touring holiday of Ireland.

We get stopped virtually every time we take it out of the boot and asked ‘where did you get that from’

It has been and still is a great enhancement to our lives.

Quality Product

Wow what an excellent product it has to be the Rolls Royce of Mobility Scooters. The quality of the build and materials used is fabulous.
As for Helen I can not speak highly enough. From beginning to end a really pleasant experience. I was surprised to receive the scooter two days after the order. Well boxed with charger and instructions on how to open and fold the scooter you easily get the hang of this. I am sure it will turn many heads and if I recommend someone for a sale I will benefit as an affiliate member. So over to you go by you will not regret it. Best wishes Geoff.
