SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Booked a hotel room with this company, priced at $87, then upon checking my account it went to $125.00. Got to the hotel my room was sold to someone else. Had my lawyer call to speak with some one and the male customer service representative has an attitude. So my lawyer and I have decided to sue this company. This company is a SCAM! Wish I had checked the reviews before trying to book.

Specifics of Scam

$52 shown or $63 w/ taxes and fees on Google Maps (while traveling) went to $59.39 on the Mobytrip website. Apparently charged $78.73 on card when I looked today. Got a booking confirmation email from "help" that had no price anywhere. And the phone number is a black hole. So with the pet fee (that I wasn't expecting) total for a $52 stay at Quality Inn was $93.73. Nasty.

This is the worst company ever

This is the worst company ever. They automatically take money off your credit card. When you arrive to hotel-no reservation. It has been 2 weeks and no money put back on my card. They basically stole money off my debit card.

SCAM... overcharged and they do not respond!

SCAM... STAY AWAY!! I booked a room through them because it came up on my phone as a better price than directly with the hotel. I saw my total cost at the end of the reservation and was good with it. When I saw they charged my card $114 more than what was shown to me for the 2 nights, I tried contacting them. They won't respond. Then, when I disputed it with my credit card, Moby sent a document showing the amount they charged. OF COURSE THEY DID, they can make any document/amount they want. They know we book these things online, and I never even received an email from them at all! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED, and I wish I had been beforehand.

DO NOt USE!!!!!! terrible terrible terrible. I tried to book a room with them and when it got to the processing page I got an error message. then it refreshed to the booking page with all my info gone. cool no big deal right? wrong. I check my bank account not even 1 min later and the money is gone. all 167 bucks. with no email or confirmation or anything. I went to the hotel and booked a room through them and they confirmed that they got no reservation from moby. try to contact them and have had 0 responses. and there are no listed numbers.... they are taking advantage of people who need deals. DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE MOBY TRIP.
I needed to get a hotel immediately because of something personal that transpired. I went to book a hotel through moby trip. I did the payment, then the screen went white and the page refreshed. I called the hotel and the hotel said there was no reservation so I needed to speak with the company I paid through… big problem- this company has NO customer service. Absolutely ridiculous. Their website said if any issues like this happens then the payment won’t go through I waited for the “pending” balance to go back into my account but instead it went through! They took the money from me without holding their end of the bargain. Absolutely disgusting. If I didn’t have money, moby trip would’ve left me in a very bad situation, I’m in a new city and needed a hotel I could’ve been potentially on the street with no place to lay my head. Huge inconvenience and on top of that I had $100 just thrown down the drain.

Tired and weary traveler. I was traveling for 18 hours and tired

I was traveling for 18 hours and tired. I booked a room at the hotel which I thought was for tonight. I immediately discovered it was for a week later, I cancelled the reservation and immediately it said no refund on cancellations. I was so tired i missed the date. I immediately reached out to Moby and a miss RM took the call. Through many tries she was able to get me a refund. The superior customer service, excellent response and thoroughness of miss RM is note worthy and commendable. In a time when so many never care or give any service RM was awesome. I give her 5 stars for the best service,attitude and abilities. Thank you so much!

Still waiting on reply

I booked a room and when I got to the hotel they were fully booked. I tried to call unfortunately it was a weekend so no answer. So I had emailed, it was said I was going to get a full refund and they would contact the hotel. Still haven't heard anything 3 hours ago Unfortunately im out of state and depleted all my funds. I'm still sitting outside of this hotel waiting for the refund to go thru so I can try and book another room somewhere. I think they should book me a room on their behalf of booking me a room at a full hotel and still get my refund. Someone help me!!

hi i never stayed at hotel

i cancelled reservations back on 7/16/2022 and was still charged

i wanted 7/16 date and the computer selected 7/17 so i tried to edit date and wouldn't let me so i cancelled it within a few minutes.

mobytrip sent me confirmation that the reservations was indeed cancelled and later on i found out still charged that's not right !!

Excellent experience!

I'm writing this review based upon my experience with Ian and the customer service that was provided. I unfortunately had to cancel my reservation because of a medical procedure. Although I originally made a non-refundable reservation where I was not able to receive a refund for canceling, I explained to Ian that I am not cancelling but only wished to modify my reservation. Ian stated that the reservation was not able to be modified also. Ian contacted the hotel directly and I was issued a full refund. Thank you Ian, you're one of a kind and Mobytrip.com should be proud to have you as a valuable asset to their business model.
