We had booked a Fiat Panda & get an upgrade
We had booked a Fiat Panda, but got a luxury VW Polo.
What I didn't like was that suddenly there wasn't enough insurance for the car. They then try to sell you expensive insurance. up to a maximum of 225 euros for 1 week.
I also found the car windows dirty inside. This is dangerous with the low sun.
For the rest we are kindly helped and they have a nice fleet.

Coming from Canada, I liked using a smaller known company to be instead of the big ones we’re used to here. I enjoyed the easy booking, the insurance options available, the checkout and return process was so simple and the hybrid car provided was wonderful as it saved on gas costs.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to rent a vehicle on their vacation.

Full insurance, professional service, quick in helping their customers (had a break-in, broken pane - you needed just to get their local shop to replace the car)

Easy booking - convenient
Easy booking, everything was fast and as agreed. The staff was kind and got everything covered. They even borrowed us under-towel matts for the beach

Happy eventhough had a problem
The personnel is very nice and the service very professional. One piece of advice is to review the procedure that requires a piece of paper given by the person that provides road assistance, in case you need it. Locauto should accept a virtual copy of that paper the same way they only provide a virtual copy of the rental contract.

Great experience from start till end.
Overall the full experience from the greeting at the airport service and offers provided were great. it was easy to agree and sign, I loved the option to leave the car keys in the box as we were travelling quite early. Price was as well quite competitive for the car we’ve got. :)

I had reservation no.161626208-2026
I had reservation no.161626208-2026, 11 days (21.09--02.10.2026)+ don't worry insurance, price 927.11 euros.
1. Negative aspects
-waiting time at Alghero Airport counter 10 min/car.
-Locauto representative at the counter when handing over the car key GZ147WA stated that the car has bumps and scratches "but there are no problems because we have insurance don't worry"
-at 9:30 PM in the Locauto parking lot no representative to pick up the car
-uncleaned car-dust and sand on the road and interior, dirty mirrors and windows.
-when handing over the car on 02.10.2026, 5:30 PM, Locauto representatives stated that I have insurance concluded through Brooker Discovery and they wanted me to bear the cost of repairs. They did not want to check the reservation email on my personal phone. Upon our insistence of about 5 minutes, they checked according to the documents stating that "we have no problem, it was a system error" Respect=0
-please instruct the staff to respect customers.
2. Positive aspect
-car with 49,500.00 km traveled but it works ok.
PS. This is the first and last time I rent from Locauto.

Overall quite good but …
Everything was smooth except that the Locauto location in the airport parking was not easy to find. Signs that lead to it would be quite useful I think. We lost about 15 minutes because of that.
