Everything was perfect - from the booking, through the car rental and the paperwork.

It was a good and reliable car. But organisation to collect and return car requires much more attention and a much better service. The car was clean inside but dirty on the outside and between the doors. Not to be expected from a rental company for a car on which I paid a premium price. Service at this point of collection and delivery at Alghero airport can definitely be improved to make the customer service be of the mininmum expected standard.

I had an excellent experience with Locauto in Alghero. From the moment I arrived at the counter, everything was smooth and efficient. The check-in process was very quick, and I really appreciated that there was absolutely no pressure to purchase additional insurance, unlike many other rental companies that try to push it aggressively.

The return process was just as fast and hassle-free. The young man who handled the vehicle return was extremely polite, professional, and friendly, making the final part of the rental just as pleasant as the beginning.

Easy to take, friendly staff, decent car.

No issue with th car, people at the office act professional, price is reasonable

I rented a car through the Booking.com application and paid for a VW Polo or a similar vehicle.

However, when I arrived at the Locauto office at Alghero Airport, I was given a similar car with a non-functioning air conditioner. As the outside temperature was around 40°C, I could not accept a vehicle without air conditioning.

After a lengthy discussion, I was provided with a Kia, which belongs to a lower vehicle class than the one I had booked and paid for.

I chose this rental company because it doesn't require a credit card. I registered and ordered in advance by sending my details through their app, which partly accelerated the rental of the car. We got a brand new VW Polo, which didn't even have 2000 km on it. We drove 1000 km in a week, we handed over the car without damage, the handover was very fast. I was satisfied with them, I definitely recommend them to you. If we go to Sardinia again, we will definitely use their services. The quality/price ratio is unbeatable.

Smooth and easy pick up, their low fuel return option was very useful for us. Drop off easy too as just have to hand in keys to reception when in a rush! Would recommend.
