An infuriating company to deal with from start to finish
Infotone has been, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and disappointing suppliers we’ve ever dealt with.
To start with, their pricing is outrageous. They sold us aftermarket toner cartridges at **full OEM‑level prices**, despite the products being clearly non‑OEM items reboxed in their own branded packaging. Only later did we discover that equivalent cartridges retail for a tiny fraction of what Infotone charged us. The value for money is appalling, and the way the products were presented felt completely misleading.
Their sales tactics made things even worse. In the past, staff were pushed into placing large, unnecessary orders after being given “gifts” such as alcohol and vouchers. This created a completely inappropriate and uncomfortable dynamic where orders were being encouraged through sweeteners rather than genuine business need. As a business owner, discovering this was infuriating — and I’m certain most owners would be horrified if they knew this was happening behind their backs.
Then came the real disaster: one of their black cartridges literally exploded inside a Kyocera printer, throwing toner throughout the internals. This caused constant paper jams and made the machine unusable. Infotone sent an engineer, but the printer was never properly repaired.
And this is where the experience went from bad to unbelievable.
We chased them for weeks — email after email, call after call — and were repeatedly ignored. When they finally did respond, we were given contradictory stories about what the engineer supposedly did, even though we saw him plug the machine in and test it. Their communication was evasive, inconsistent, and at times felt like they were simply hoping we’d give up.
After all that, their “solution” was to offer a replacement toner cartridge, as if that would magically fix a printer their product had already damaged. No responsibility, no repair, no replacement — nothing.
Between the inflated pricing, the aggressive and inappropriate sales tactics, the catastrophic product failure, and the complete lack of accountability, Infotone has been an infuriating company to deal with. I genuinely despise the way they operate.
I strongly advise other businesses to stay well clear.

In relation to pricing and product supply, we are always transparent about what we provide. All of our compatible cartridges are supplied in Infotone-branded packaging, which clearly states they are compatible products, not OEM, and are never intended to be misleading. Our pricing reflects not only the product itself, but also the level of service, support, and aftercare we provide to our customers.
We take your concerns regarding sales approach seriously; however, we would like to clarify that any complimentary items or gestures are provided purely as a goodwill thank you to our customers. They are not, and have never been, used as a means to pressure or influence purchasing decisions. Regarding the technical issue, we arranged for an engineer to attend site at our own cost to support you. The printer was thoroughly cleaned and ready for use when the engineer left, although it had not been plugged in as you did not have a power cable? — which we found unusual. We also offered a replacement toner cartridge, which was sent out to ensure everything would work perfectly. Far from “no responsibility, no repair, no replacement,” we took clear steps to support you at our expense and provided practical solutions. Had you wished to escalate this further at the time, I personally would have been happy to speak with you directly to work toward a resolution.
You have been a valued customer, ordering from us hassle-free for nearly 10 years. We genuinely hope that long history of smooth service demonstrates how committed we are to supporting every customer, including you.
Finally, while we respect your opinion, it is worth noting that we receive a steady stream of 5-star reviews from customers who consistently have positive experiences with both our products and service, and we remain committed to delivering that same high standard to every business we work with.
