IKANO is there to stress you out

This bank came on the IKEA site to offer a loan at the point of purchase and I opted for it. Ofcourse they had to do a credit check and leave a hard footprint which i was okie with and my application was successful and i got the account number, credit card details. When i tried to complete the purchase I got error and i tried again and the message kept coming up. I called them multiple times and got through to an agent and she had zero knowledge of their product and her line was so bad that it keeps getting disconnected. She never called me back and i have to queue up all the time and then go through the security check and when it comes to asking question the line gets disconnected. After 4 hours I spoke with her and she mentioned they are having IT issue and i should try it in few hours. I tried and it failed many times and i called back again and i was toild that if my purchase is urgent then i should consider alternate method. I was shocked to her that -They left a hard credit check on my credit file and this credit is uselsss outside of IKEA and if i was to use any other means to pay then why would I accept a hard search in my credit file. Next day same story and they don't know when the issue will be over. Their message was keep trying .... which is the most delightful way to create best possible customer experience (NOT). I felt many months were taken away from my life because if this transaction. AVOID these scammers and have peace of mind. Not sure how IKEA landup partnering with this company

Disabled support

I am a disabled customer with congintive issues. Ikano rings me every month around payment time to make sure my health is ok and if I need extra support with payments. This is above and beyond what you would expect from customer service and I am so grateful for the extra support that no other company has ever given me

Second review

Second review, god almighty losing the will to live with this company.
First, we try to pay the full amount before interest is added. They refused to take it all. Said direct debit was due in few days they can’t stop it. No interest will be added. Lied.. a month later they try to take £66. now at the time they said it was due in few days so it will be completed. Then they wanted interest so to get rid of them we paid £14.56. Told again it was complete we owed nothing. Then a txt we owe £51. 4 calls later they decided it was their fault so account was closed. Or so we thought. Letter demanding restart direct debit. Basically it comes down to one person they should have taken the full amount but refused, charged interest. Still have no idea if it’s paid or not.

Avoid at your peril.

I wasn't given the correct information on time of purchase., I've been having and its' still ongoing some issues with a piece of furniture from SCS, and asked this loan bank for help.
obviously they sided with SCS, so I was very disappointed with there final resolution and, the furniture in question was less than 18 months old when the fault appeared so, beware before you accept any loans from this company.
Update.
In response to Ikano Banks reply, I'm still waiting for someone to contact me!

Brilliant Alternative…

Ikano provide a brilliant alternative to the inferior, lower rated products being offered by the big name High Street providers. Been investing in their Fixed Rate Bonds for years and have never had any problems whatsoever. Total satisfaction!

Attempting to call and have been since…

Attempting to call and have been since the 15th August !!!! No one answers the phone at all. Apparently they have paid me some money due to an overpayment and yet no money has been received!!!!!

Website for financial planning ideas

I was offered the Ikano funding service for an energy efficiency improvement project with Cisco Homes Ltd. They completed the necessary administration & setup for this in March 2020. I received the information mainly by email. The work was completed. It was a simple process and there were options to overpay without any additional costs which was very helpful at the time. The early payment in full option was accepted and completed. Now in 2023, I've found the Ikano website helpful & easy to use and have gleaned some info in the frequently asked questions (FAQs) for 2023 - 2027 financial planning ideas
