I have had nearly a 2 year fight for them to get my faulty furniture returned to DFS . I asked them to do a section 75 which they didn’t carry out DFS would only take the sofa back neither company correctly carried out the consumer rights act 2015 I then had to go to the financial ombudsman who ruled in my favour . I had to chase ikano every step of the way they didn’t bother to reply to emails and thought offering me £70 would keep me quiet . I’ve now got a full refund

Avoid avoid avoid is all I can say. We had a boiler fitted by Prime Solutions in Epping. We went for the buy now pay later i.e. in one years time. We intended to pay for it in total but unfortunately our washing machine freezer and roof all went at once so was unable to do this. We had no idea about Ikano Bank and only found out when the payments started. They take 75% of your monthly payments in interest!!! Meaning our £3000 loan would be £10,000!!!! after 10 years. We were never ever informed about this. As a result I have now taken a much lower coast loan with MBNA which will cost us £354 over 3 years.

Avoid this god awful company, they are a complete and utter rip off!! They are the reason that people with little or no money end up even more in debt! total Sharks!

Very clear information and great to have monthly email updating you with your balance and info on how to pay off.

I am trying to make payment to IKEA through Ikano Bank. But my payment won't just get through. There seems to be something wrong with their website. There is no way I can contact them. I have just realised that I have misplaced/ lost my storecard which they now need for automated phone call. How do I reach them ??

We bought furniture on finance with ikano and on the last year of payment we run into financial difficulties because of covid situation and we told them about it as charges of £25 piled on every month they did nothing about and then defaulted us and they remaining amount owed was hundreds and all late payment fees. Ended up paying it back to a debt collector so to sum it up they ruined my credit for 6 years and made me pay back hundreds in late payment fees. I would never ever have anything to do with ikano in the future

Trying to use the IKEA Ikano app for at least 2 hours now, different documents, different location, different mobile phone, it just doesn't work. It will not load the images. Just says error, but it doesn't give me information about what is causing the error. Very poor, I expected more from IKEA.

I do not do online banking and the good thing about Ikano Bank is that it allows you to send your deposit by cheque.

During the period of our loan IKANO Bank provided us with a no nonsense service such as no marketing of other products.

Applied for IKEA finance over 2 weeks ago in the store.
System was already glitchy then and I was told that it’s like that sometimes and to try from the actual app and not the browser which I also did. Still the app was glitchy. Had my application approved but then never got to complete and sign.
Customer service - useless. The Ikano phone line is another shocker with a massive delay on their line which makes it impossible to have a conversation with them and then the line gets disconnected and I had to call them back again.
I asked to please call me back if we get disconnected again and they said the would, and they didn’t.
Kept getting disconnected and also couldn’t continue my call cause of the very long delay in the phone line.
Two weeks in and still no resolution. The app keeps glitching as well as their site and subsequently they’ve now done several hard searches which are negatively impacting my credit files as it looks like I keep going back for new applications when that is not the case.
I can’t stress how frustrating this whole experience has been and still is.

The app couldn't find my bank (Nationwide) and refused a £1000 loan on this basis. IKEA potentially lost the sale as a result and I lost 30 minutes. However... IKANO got back in touch as a result of this review and were very professional, courteous and helpful. I'm not sure what happened originally on the website as I no longer need the loan but my advice if something similar happens would be to call IKANO support and walk through your application.

Since the start of the loan I’ve had no errors made. The payments were taken as and when they should have been and they send regular emails to let you know we’re you’re up to.

This is the most straightforward loan repayment company I have ever used. Very simple, clear monthly notifications showing your remaining balance. When it came to the time where I decided to pay off the remaining balance early, it could not have been simpler to do so!

Normally loan companies -pester you to take out another loan to pay off your existing one, but today I made my last payment and the only paperwork I received in the last five years were statements

I would use Ikano again. Very easy to make over payments. The emails were relevant and to the point using no banking language. The offer 0% interest loans which is always a bonus as well.

Getting a loan from ikano bank was easy to set up paying by direct debit is easy to do and you receive a statement every month showing you your balance
